I know it is only Game 1, but the underdogs won in both series, Nashville and Ottawa
-
I came on here the night of the of the 17th, and hung out till midnight, and nobody came out to play by the deadline I haven't been back since In a way, I'm kind of silently cheering for Nashville to win the whole thing. I think the cup can visit Tennessee for a year

First off, not sure if Robbie would really care or not, I'm sure Jamie would though, Arsenal beat Man U 2-0 today . I'm relieved that Robbie is home finally. As far as him lifting up Amy and then feeling woozy, well every teen is invincible and until there is a consequence they don't really learn I'm glad that we are seeing Robbie and Nicola settling into a more normal relationship, for everyone's else they are still arch enemies but in private they can be quite civil to each others. Kudo's for Robbie on the swear jar, I actually thought he really didn't know what it was. When he revealed he was faking, I understood how Nicola felt Looking forward to more!!!! Thanks for sharing Dodger

Congratulations Tim Much deserved for all you do around the site! -
I'm conflicted, I watched King Cobra the other night on Netflix. Did I think it was bad, no. Did I think it was good, not sure It has a lot of 'bigger' name actors in it. Just the story kind of shows the dirty side of the gay porn industry. I guess you could call it the gay version of Boogie Nights. At least it had a budget and the sound stages and actors to make it better than the average North American gay movie. I'm curious what others thought.

So I have always wanted a phenomenon named after me Looks like my wish has come true: STEVE Don't I look pretty?

I really don't know how to respond I was a total mess last night after reading this chapter there was no way I could comment. It is amazing how sometimes a character is written and portrayed to us in that we actually can't separate the emotions from the character and someone in real life. Robbie astonished me in this chapter as how much I cared, how much I wanted him to be okay, how much I read between the lines, all hoping for a glimpse that he is okay. A couple of things I did pull out of the chapter, there was mention that there was so much blood that it was a police crime scene at the bottom of the stairs. I'm hoping this means that the police are going to be giving it a more thorough investigation than Nicola can ever imagine. I don't think it was Daniel or Nicola. I am really curious who it was. The fact that Robbie at the end could tell us about the reaction of Sue and what she was saying and that she felt him squeeze her hand tells me that all of the family are there. Just maybe there all aren't getting through. The fact that Robbie was confused between Tom and Nathan was a bit concerning. But it seems that certain conversations, and certain people are able to pull him into a semi lucid state yet still in a coma. Lastly, the fact that there was a break before the final paragraphs tells me that there has been a lot of time that has elapsed since the fall. A month or two? Nathan talking about the end of term play makes me think we are pushing mid June now. I wonder if Nathan is still the only one that can reach him, Nathan eludes to the fact the others don't think he can, but he is as Robbie is telling us. The others are still probably all showing up, just not reaching Robbie on the emotional level that Nathan can. The truly scary thing to me is that the story's namesake has now been named. Reading many stories, this could mean the final chapter has posted I really really really hope not. The fact that Dodger said it is up to us, makes me wonder if he is content to walk away as it is, with maybe just a epilogue which doesn't have to be from the same POV. God I hope not, but I'm scared, really scared. What a beautiful chapter Dodger, take a bow, but damn you, I want an encore

Is AL or Al too obvious

So Krista hid an Easter egg in this chapter. Something obvious but hidden in plain site One person has commented on it, does anyone know what it is?

I too was impressed with how Jackson stop up to Cinzilla. He managed to keep calm. Moreso, I think most people would have panicked and said something that they may regret later, or just admitted they love each others. Instead he said they are old enough to choose their own friends. The one thing about what she said, did Jack's Mom really say she was worried about him being in jail or worse. What is that about?

I agree. My team, the Flames, don't really have much of a chance of winning a game in Anaheim. They have only one once in the Honda Centre in last 26 regular season games. I guess the optimism I have is that they have some new faces that could help them out in this series. I should mention, don't forget you get a 3 game 'wait and see' head start before you have to pick Also, I don't participate but I do post my picks.

Lol, I snuck in a tag for the Calgary Flames on this topic Even though I know they don't have a hope in hell against the Ducks So every few years I have a hockey pool for the NHL Playoffs. This is totally for fun!! It costs nothing and even the non-hockey watcher can win! Previous winners have had not the first idea of hockey, the cities or the teams, but they entered just for the fun. This year I will be offering up a 6-month Premium Membership for you, or you can donate to a person on the site you want to give it too. So here is it works....the playoffs start tomorrow night, all teams will have at least 3 games under their belts before the cut off of Easter Monday, April 17, 2017, at 11:59 PM MST. Once everyone has their picks in, it is time to sit back and hurl insults at each other Hopefully there are no Edmonton fans in here. It is pretty simple, here are the brackets for this year: Seem intimidating, it isn't . All I'm looking for is who is going to win each match up. Then who will win the next and then make it to the Stanley cup finals and finally the winners. Each series is the best of 7 games. Please add a guess on how many games you think the winning team will win in, just in case of a tie (which we have never had before I think ) So example is: WEST Conference Round 1 Chicago Blackhawks vs. Nashville Predators - Chicago in 4 Minnesota Wild vs. St. Louis Blues - etc. EAST Conference Round 1 Washington Capitals vs. Toronto Maple Leafs - Washington in 4 Ottawa Senators vs Boston Bruins - etc. WEST Conference Round 2 Winner of the West Semifinal 1 against the West Semifinal 2 in how many games Now that seems like a lot of typing, so copy and paste this in for your entry. Just fill in the ?: WEST Conference Round 1 1. Chicago Blackhawks vs Nashville Predators - ??? in ? games 2. Minnesota Wild vs St. Louis Blues - ??? in ? games 3. Anaheim Ducks vs Calgary Flames - ??? in ? games 4. Edmonton Oilers vs San Jose Sharks - ??? in ? games EAST Conference Round 1 5. Montreal Canadiens vs. New York Rangers - ??? in ? games 6. Ottawa Senators vs Boston Bruins - ??? in ? games 7. Washington Capitals vs Toronto Maple Leafs - ??? in ? games 8. Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Columbus Blue Jackets - ??? in ? games WEST Conference Round 2 1. Winner of 1 vs Winner of 2 - ??? in ? games 2. Winner of 3 vs Winner of 4 - ??? in ? games EAST Conference Round 2 3. Winner of 5 vs Winner of 6 - ??? in ? games 4. Winner of 7 vs Winner of 8 - ??? in ? games WEST Final 1. Winner of 1 vs Winner of 2- ??? in ? games EAST Final 2 Winner of 3 vs Winner of 4 - ??? in ? games STANLEY CUP FINALS Winner of 1 vs Winner of 2 - ??? in ? games Points are awarded for guessing the winner of each series, correct guesses are awarded 5 points each. Only in case of a tie at the very end will I go back and look at the winner in how many games for each series. Once again, this is for FUN!!! The more people who join, the more the fun! Sign up yourself and talk to your friends and get them to sign up too! Picking is now open

The largest and biggest coffee shop in Canada (an a lot of the border states now) have Tim Horton's. It could easily be called a national institution up here by the way people love it. The have a new ad campaign for perfect pairings. It is to promote things like a soup and sandwich, a coffee and doughnut, etc. Well they have different couples that are on the screen that are 'perfect pairings' as well. The two senior citizens, the sisters, the two best friends, the two gay guys......... Wait, yes, two gay guys. Then they start giving each couple a bit of time to say how they met and why they meet at Tim's. Finally get to the gay couple and they say their first date was at Tim's and that the one guy knew it was something. There is also 15 second commercials that feature just the one couple or another, but the gay guys don't have their own 15 sec commercial

New Research Shows Fewer Lgbtq Youth Participating In Sports

Just saw this interview with Brian Burke, not my 'favourite' person, but a lot of respect for him in a lot of other ways, especially how he has championed the You Can Play campaign. https://www.nhl.com/flames/video/you-can-play-brian-burke/t-277437092/c-49827203 -

:music: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! :music: Well I hope everyone had a great night bringing in the New Year. I know I did The great thing about celebrating the New Year is not to forget everything that has happened in the past year, but also to look forward to what will come in the New Year. We will all be experiencing some changes coming up and I'm excited about it and looking forward to looking back next January 1st and seeing where we have come. So for the final time, we will look back on the last week of 2016 for the GA News Blog. We started out on Monday right out of the gate with Cia having the CSR Discussion Day where Kuragari129's story; My Life Started At The End Of The World was discussed. Cia started off here nail biting investigating style where we learned that Kuragari doesn't eat enough fruits and vegetables . Cia, being a mom, was able to overlook this and move onto other questions relating to his writing on site . Make sure to pop by and see the responses. Next we had Myr make another entry on Tech Tuesday. This week Myr shared with us some more information about the upcoming changes to the site were we may have to adjust our minds around the difference between a Review and a Comment. Personally I like what is coming as it should enable both the authors and the readers the ability to communicate back and forth with the comment part, yet still review that will be peer promoted to give you an overall idea of the story. Myr included some screen shots of both the upcoming feedback tools. Now, hopefully I got that right as I'm still trying to figure out what the difference is between a forum, topic, thread etc. Even if you do have troubles with the wording, I'm sure this will be easily caught on by all. Wednesday Renee brought us a new feature that we haven't seen before called Favorite Self-Written Story. This is a different approach to what usually relies on others opinions of stories to be reviewed. This time Renee asked authors what their own personal favourite story is that they have penned. This time she asked Valkyrie, Craftingmom and Mann Ramblings. In addition to finding out what the story is, we also learned the why. Friday was a return to the Writing Prompts which always seem to get some takers to the challenge of creating something new. Renee and Cia approached this one a a bit differently being the last one of 2016. The first one of two that are New Years related was your thoughts at the moment 2017 begins. Looking back at last years resolutions and what you want to have for new ones in 2017. The second prompt was you receiving an envelope with a mysterious note inside; "I've been waiting for this chance to accomplish last year's resolution, so please meet me on the patio at 11:59". Lastly Renee shared some of the responses to Prompt 544 from JohnAR, Timothy M., and Jamessavik. Saturday Renee updated us on the 2017 Spring Anthology: Jagged Edges / Unintended Consequences. We had a great response to the 2016 Anthologies so maybe hunker down at start off 2017 with a great anthology to share with everyone! You have until April 30th to git er done! Reading some status updates the other day a certain wolf I believe is 20,000 words in already. Jeez, bet they have next years Christmas shopping done too!!!
