All sentences are served concurrently in Canada. Up until the last couple of decades (not sure when it was taken out) a person who was given a life sentence (the maximum available) for 25 years, there was a faint hope clause which allowed the convicted to ask for parole I believe after 10 years and every year after. This is no longer a option. Conviction of 1st degree murder is now a maximum of 25 years with no chance of parole. In addition, there is the ability of the Crown to have the convict deemed a Dangerous Offender which would make his stay indefinite. Combine the murder, the mutilation and mailing of the body parts, the kittens and what ever else is against him, he most likely will never see outside prison. He will join the likes of Paul Bernardo, Clifford Olson, and Robert Pickton who all will most likely die in prison. Huh As soon as the arrest warrant was put out to him, Interpol was notified and he was immediately put to the top of the list. This sicko also spent most of his life learning how to reinvent himself and create alias and basically change who he was and his past within 3 weeks time. He even blogged on how to do this in that short of time. He obviously slipped out of Canada before the arrest warrant was set up and also was able to gain access to France. The Paris airport video shows someone completely different looking than what most the media had shown. He then was able to elude the French police and somehow make it to Germany and onto Berlin. There, ironically, sitting in an internet cafe spending a lot of time reading about himself (not surprising) he brought attention to himself where he was finally arrested without incident. He wanted the internet to make him famous, and it was the internet that brought him down. On the positive side, yes, Canada is doing something.... He will be tried for first degree murder which carries a 25 year sentence with no chance of parole. Also, due to his heinous crimes the Crown will be applying for (and should easily get) a Dangerous Offender Status for him which will mean that he will never see the light of day. Yes, capital punishment probably would be justified for his actions but at least he will never do them again. On behalf of Canada Thank you to the French and Germans (and really, all the countries of Interpol) to do the leg work to bring him to justice

So they have pictures of him entering France at Paris. They tracked him picking up a guy online and then meeting with him at a cafe in Paris. So why haven't the arrested him Hopefully the extradition laws are good between France and Canada. Although he will never get proper justice in Canada, at least he will be locked up for 25 years with no chance of parole

It turns out they were reaching 400 million viewers with their advertising strategy. They have now teamed up with Manchester United who's viewing audience is 675 million...just the one team. In addition they will be a major sponsor of Football (Soccer) to reach the 1.6 billion potential customers. When I heard those number i was WOW!!

I'm sure she would have no problem killing a eager subordinate at a party like Sanchez has already done. Now as far as where the hidden stash is on the Kookabura/Ares, I did something that CJ has given us the opportunity to do in every single chapter but if you are like me you have not looked at it since the opening chapter. Take a look at the configuration of Ares and Atlantis here. Now we know that Ned had to form new bows for Ares because the were crushed and he made moulds from a different version of a Lagoon (I believe he put 57's on a 55), Now look at what is in the port bow...the crew cabin. Since we know that Trevor had made a hiding place on the Atlantis for his gun, papers and money, who is to say that Arnold didn't put one in the Ares. Remember Trevor wasn't sailing when Rachael disappeared so we can assume that he did the modifications to Atlantis after Ares was missing. We don't know that Rachael used the crew quarters on Ares, or had any need to hide or store anything in it. I don't think it is a long shot to say that the stash was hidden in the same place of the Ares as Trevor did hide things in Atlantis. Then if the bow is crushed, so is the crew cabin. When Ned began the refit, he would have cut of the bows and replaced them with his new constructed ones and build a new crew cabin in the new bow. As for the old bow, it is possible Ned saved them but for what reason I cannot think. I would hazard to guess that they were shipped off as scrap or thrown out as I believe they would be fiberglass. The other possibility is that upon the bows getting destroyed at sea, the papers are on the bottom of the ocean along with the old ladies' ring from Titanic Thanks for the chapter CJ. Now it will be interesting to see if the New Jersey Devils have more than five games in them against the basically unchallenged LA Kings. I said there may be movement, and there was Special kudos goes to one of our overseas entrants who actually has a impressive distinction at the end of this round. Johnathan Colourfield was the only person to score any points in this round by picking the New Jersey Devils to win and is the only one out of all of us to actually pick one of the teams to be going to the Stanley Cup. Benji, Benji, Benji, Benji..... Why must you malign the characters named Eric in CJ's stories. They have ALL been unsung heroes. You must put aside your hurt and anger and realize that the first Eric was a saint in disguise. Now onto this chapter. When Trevor finished his phone call with his Uncle, I was left, um, verklempt would be the word It was indeed the first time since Trevor walked into a tree on his first visit to Carnavon that I actually felt all was good in Trevor's world. Now if I was to look at CJ's history, here is my predictions. Yes, Sanchez is done. Mr. B is also done. The thing is that what will be even more to Sanchez's finale will be Bridgett telling the other Cartel members from a first person account how Sanchez had totally screwed up, again. I do believe that CJ needs to have one villain remain for the outside possibility of a sequel. As an other, isn't it better to have just a smidgen of doubt left over at the end of a story to make their reader's wonder, what if? The other thing I will mention, did anyone notice the lack of Grundig again in this chapter ? At least I will sleep well for a seven nights as I await the next chapter Thanks CJ
