Oh same here. I've found stuff like that too. That stuff I'm keeping I like looking through it every once in a while too.

Same here. I'm not getting rid of the nostalgic things, like my Ireland box, but I do have a ton of stuff that needs to go.

I'm finding some really cool things. Nostalgic items and such. It's amazing how much stuff we accumulate throughout the years.

It's bluefish hot here too. My mom and I got rid of a bunch of stuff. We took several boxes of papers to a local "shredding day". They ask a suggested donation per box to go to the Rotary Club. We also took a whole bunch of stuff to thrift store. There's lots more to get rid of, but it's a start.

The heat and humidity are ramping up here too. I got up early and went grocery shopping, so now I have lots of nice, fresh food. I was also able to stock up on a bunch of meat that was 'reduced for quick sale'. I'm going to make chicken cordon bleu soup tonight. It's a recipe I've never tried before, but it sounded delicious. I think fried bluefish needs to be the official food of CoTT

They're generally not locked into cardboard boxes and taken to evil places like the vet's. It's also their choice to jump into a box vs being shoved rudely into a carrier. All my other cats have never minded the carrier. They would go right in when I opened the door. These guys fight to the death...

Well everyone survived the Battle of the Vet. Getting Joker into the carrier was surprisingly easy. Well, for the vet anyway. She had a nice, large carrier and was able to get him in it with minimal fuss. Knight, on the other hand... he managed to escape the first attempt, then ran and hid on the upstairs landing. The vet and vet tech managed to get him in by grabbing him and wearing large, very thick gloves. He was not nice about being stuffed into the carrier. Thankfully the exams themselves went well. Both cats are in good health. Joker has lost some more weight. They both had bloodwork and stool/urine samples taken. I'll get those results on Sat. Now we're all relaxing and recuperating from the ordeal.

It's nice out at the moment, but supposed to get up to 89F today. The cats have a vet appointment today. I'm trying a mobile vet service to see if it's less stressful on everyone. I can't get Joker into a cat carrier, so I'm hoping this will go smoother since there's no need for the carrier. Fingers crossed we all emerge unscathed!
