  1. The fat fuzzy bumble bees are tolerable...but anything else is cause to run screaming and flailing my limbs. I suppose I call all stingy things 'bees' so lump them in unfairly. I stepped on a stingy thing when I was a kid and got stung on my foot. Probably what produced my fear of the little bastards.
  2. I understand those thoughts and feelings all too well. Sometimes it's very wearying wearing that mask.
  3. Bees are necessary to pollinate certain plants and give us yummy honey, but I am also very terrified of the stingy little bastards. If I see a bee or anything with a stinger on its ass, I run the other way. And I don't run.
  4. Master Baiter... I loved it.
  5. Happy Birthday!! I hope you have an awesome day!! Here's some cute cookies for you

    me Zombie

Oh boy... guess the medicine wasn't as effective as they thought... He needs a Pepsi treatment. I hope his family isn't affected since he's spent quite a bit of time with them now. Nice little zombie tale. You're inspiring me to get going on the last chapter of mine. Nice job.

    Trapped

Ted doesn't waste any time, does he? I can't feel too sorry for the predator getting his just desserts, even if it is brutal. I wonder about the roommate. Is he really sleeping? Was he drugged or something worse? I can't imagine sleeping through what followed, although maybe he woke up and we don't know since you didn't show us what followed. Which is perfectly fine, since we don't need to see... the way you ended the chapter was perfect. I have a feeling this is only the beginning of Ted's time to play.
  8. Is Prompt 534 supposed to be "And who are you supposed to be?"? I haven't had much time for the prompts, although 534 may work for the last installment of my zombie prompt.... I've been doing a lot of writing lately and a ton of editing. Maybe I can sneak Zombie Dad in there too.
  9. Looks like a great collection for a great cause. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Congratulations, Ronyx! I've really enjoyed your stories I've read so far.
  11. I wasn't quite sure where to post this, since it's not an LOL cat, but I decided here because it might have been a tragic outcome if the kitty hadn't helped the man. http://www.lovemeow.com/cat-guides-man-down-the-mountain-after-he-got-lost-1988333187.html
  12. I always enjoy reading your LPW poems and writings. The second poem is very good and relatable. Having a good friend for so long that transcends distance and shares a similar passion is a powerful thing. We should all be so lucky.
  13. Doesn't mean you're straight, Emi. There is the bisexual option, you know.
  14. Brilliant, as always, Parker. I wrote a poem titled "Music of the Spheres" a long time ago, but with not nearly the skill and wit as yours. I will have to look it up when I get home. The second one made me laugh. I'll never think of gravity the same. lol
  15. I started this story a while ago...not sure why I didn't finish it as I really enjoyed it. I will have to make a point of finishing it now. Congrats on the feature!
  16. Sorry, but I can't 'like' the message in these poems, even if they are well-written. I will say "no no no, that's not so" and I'm not lying... you are a kind, sweet, loving man and an absolute treasure as a friend. I know what it's like to feel self-doubt and loathing. I'll give you all the hugs you need and hope you feel better soon.
  17. I'm sorry to see such a sad theme in recent works by several site members. This was brilliantly written, though. You are a true poet.

    Sleep

You showed the rift that can happen during relationships perfectly. I hope you get your answers.

That's wonderful! Congrats on both counts!

    Desire

This is very heartfelt and makes me ache, too. I'm sorry to hear you need surgery. I hope it's nothing too serious. I completely empathize, having just gone through it myself. Hopefully you will feel much better afterwards and can take a nice vacation with Michael.

    On the Prowl

I love how the tables were turned at the end. The prey wasn't as clueless as the predator thought You've warned us this is going to be a bumpy ride. I'm strapped in and want more now, please.
  22. A bit of good news regarding one of the individuals on my caseload. I am a speech therapist who works with adults with developmental disabilities. I assessed an individual about a year ago and put him on program. He's fairly quiet, but likes to play games and use the iPad during sessions. He spent the majority of his time in dayhab sleeping, and rarely participated in activities. Well, a few months ago someone gave him a stuffed animal. Now he spends his time dancing with the animals (he now has two), or at the table doing activities. Or should I say the animal does the activities with his help... He is also much more verbal. If I ask him how he's doing, I get a mumbled 'good', but if I ask the animal how he's doing, I get 'good, how are you?'. A lot of people have commented on his transformation. I wish it were that simple to make everyone so happy.

  24. I had a nice surprise when I got home today. My mom dropped off some socks and nice soap for me. She always teases me about my socks because I wear them until they fall off, so her 'old' socks are like new to me. lol
