Me too. I really like his stories, and he was really nice to interact with in the forums too.

Knighty is my third black cat. Joker was a tuxedo kitty. I've only had one cat that wasn't black. I like getting them because they're the least likely to be adopted.

I'm not superstitious about Friday the 13th, but that day absolutely nothing went according to plan I needed to leave work early, so of course every single person I was scheduled to see was late. And the reason I had to leave early arrived at my house early, while I was finishing up my last session Thank goodness they were able to come back about an hour later, when I was actually home. It was my vet service bringing Joker's ashes home, so it was a very emotional day for me. I don't have any sports rituals, but my family did. When my grandma was alive, she always wore her "Grambo" Bills shirt and wasn't allowed to watch the game, because every time she did, they lost. Hmm... maybe I should start watching the Sabres. Since they lose just about every game, maybe they'll start winning! Knighty says that's good luck

It's hard when our dreams open old wounds, but putting thoughts to paper definitely helps sort everything out, at least for me. I think you've captured the wistfulness of remembering old relationships, even when we know it wasn't meant to be and is probably for the best. It still hurts when we're reminded of what was or could have been, but it can also be an important part of the healing process and moving on. Thank you for sharing

I lost a couple of zeros

May is a month full of days both fun and solemn. We start the month with Beltane - Gaelic May Day at the approximate halfway point between spring and summer, to welcome summer, and end with Memorial Day in the US (a day we remember those who died in service of our country). Memorial Day is also the unofficial start of summer in the US. While not an official holiday, Star Wars fans celebrate their fandom on May the Fourth, usually by binge-watching the movies. Another holiday growing in popularity in the US is Cinco de Mayo, or the Fifth of May, which commemorates Mexico's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Since yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, let's travel to Mexico for our prompts! Viva La Mexico! PT Prompt #45 - Creative Word list: Use the following words in a story: umbrella, tamales, broken cell phone, Chihuahua, and couch. PT Prompt #46 - Creative While visiting ancient Mayan ruins, you accidentally stumble and fall against the wall of a crumbling temple. As you push yourself upright, the bricks beneath your hands give way. The earth trembles and an opening appears in the front of the temple. A shadowy figure emerges from the dust. Who is it and what happens next?

I had the same thing happen when I posted my last prompt blog. I figured it was because all the staff blogs are in one pool and the site doesn't differentiate posters with those blogs.

You had me at 'vampires'. 🧛‍♂️Great interview! I'm intrigued by the story, so will definitely check it out. The name cheat sheet is a great idea. I have to do that myself or I tend to forget characteristics I've given certain characters. I find I get my best ideas either in the shower or when I'm driving. And then have to hope that I actually remember what those ideas are when I'm actually able to write them down

I'm not familiar with this author, but I look forward to checking the story out and to reading the interview at the end of the month.

There are only three more days left in April, although around here it feels more like December. The buds on the trees were sporting a nice winter coat of snow today instead of leaves and pretty spring flowers. I'm wondering if this will be one of the rare times we get a May show shower The end of April also means the end of National Poetry Month. I've been looking forward to reading this interview, and Aaron didn't disappoint! I read this story and enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing how the future ideas pan out. I love the ideas of the story based on inanimate objects. The mail-order mix-up sounds like it will be entertaining.
