    It's bluefish cold here. 🥶 My poor furnace is running constantly. I'm fighting off a sinus cold, so I've been off work the past two days. I was going to try going in today, but just taking a shower and getting dressed wiped me out, so I decided to call in and rest up for the weekend.

    Ugh... I hate it when people bathe in cologne or perfume I have to hold my breath if I walk through the perfume section in the store. When I hear this word, I always think of sweets. My taste for sweet has changed drastically since I started eating low carb. I find most baked goods or flavored drinks cloyingly sweet now, whether they're regular or sugar-free.

    We've had two record-breaking snowfalls so far this month, and @wildone has decided to send us his arctic air. It's currently 4F and supposed to get sub-zero for the next two nights. I prefer cold to heat, but there is a middle ground. The 30s will feel balmy after these temps lol

    Much of the Eastern United States is being hammered by a massive snowstorm as I write this. We're getting close to two feet of snow where I live. So it feels fitting to feature two prompts based on snow. What's it like where you live? PT Prompt #15 - Technical Describe a cold, snowy winter to a pen pal who has never seen one. PT Prompt #16 - Creative The Gay Snowman. How does a snowman find love?

    We had a couple of days of arctic cold, but thankfully today we warmed up to about 34 F. Now we're getting the predicted snowstorm. Supposed to get between 12-20". Thankfully, I have the day off, but I do have an appointment I need to reschedule.

    Did anyone make a resolution to write more in the New Year? Experimenting with some prompts is the perfect place to start! I've selected both a creative and a technical prompt for our first prompts of 2022. Don't forget to post links to your responses in the threads in the Writer's Club. PT Prompt #11 - Creative First line: "Jump! They're coming!" PT Prompt #12 - Technical Write a short story in second person. Talk to your reader.
