So glad to see another chapter!!! You have captured teen angst so well. After spending 47 years as an educator to teens, I can say you have nailed it. Hope the next chapter will arrive soon (hint, hint).

So glad to see another chapter, as the story gets more intriguing with each. I am eager to see the development of the plot and characters. I do understand Jason's mother: you've described her motivation quite eloquently in your response. There more be hope for her as she confronts her love for Jason as she comes to know and accept him fully when he is totally truthful with all. When do you plan to release the next chapter?

At this point in my life, I enjoy being single even if there are times I would enjoy the right person lying next to me in bed or enjoying a meal or spending time listening to music and reading. I don't know if I would want someone with me 24/7 however. I don't need someone to complete me. Rather, perhaps someone to enhance my life and I his.

Chapter 18 Neighbourly behaviour
pvtguy commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 18 Neighbourly behaviour
Another wonderful chapter, and I'm already overly eager for the next one! Not wanting to repeat the previous comments, I'll just say that you are handling all the issues brilliantly. -
Ach! I hope you resolve this cliffhanger soon!

I am very impressed with how you speak so well in each voice. I can feel the teen angst and emotions as well as appreciate Frank's wisdom and compassion. That it takes place via emails has created a safe place for Will to grow and freely express himself. Joe also sure that many are missing a really excellent story because it lacks mind-blowing sexual scenes which would actually detract from the depth of the story. Thank you for sharing. Tony

Chapter 17 Family Sunday Morning
pvtguy commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 17 Family Sunday Morning
Wonderful chapter. The next can't come too soon! Tony -
I like the reflective tone of these chapters. I saw a few grammatical errors in this chapter (your where you're should have been used), principal instead of principle. Still, the wisdom that is passing from Frank to Will is really worth consideration for young teens. Thanks for continuing to share your talents. Tony

Chapter 16 After Dinner Sweets and Pillow Talk
pvtguy commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 16 After Dinner Sweets and Pillow Talk
A much needed and appreciated chapter to give us a deeper understanding of both Peter and Patrick. I like the schedule of new chapters. Look forward to each one. Tony -
Such a truly wonderful story, Carlos. I agree with all the comments already made and hope time will encourage you to add a book 5. You have a tremendous gift for story telling that should not be ignored. Thanks so much!!! Tony

Chapter 15 Dinner with friends

Wonderfully warm chapter. It's so great to see the confidence growing in Patrick. Keep them coming! -
I,too, like the way Dragon dealt with CJ. As a counselor to teens for 36 years, his style is exactly what CJ needed. The dads really have a handle on CJ's needs. Another great chapter. Thanks. Tony F

I am positive you'll find a very classy and appropriately mature manner that CJ resolves his situation with JM. I admire your ability to weave education into a truly captivating story. The next chapters can't come soon enough. Best to you. Tony

I have been so very engaged in the entire series. This is just another exceptionally well written chapter. The angst created in the last chapter was nicely resolved in this. I liked the political repartee with the mention, by CJ, of the possibility that oil prices could fall and change the Venezuelan economy. I'm eager to see how CJ resolves his anger and fear. Thanks for continuing to share your talents with us readers. Tony

Chapter 12 Romantic night
pvtguy commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 12 Romantic night
This story is so well written! I am especially enjoying the interplay between Patrick and Peter. That the Aunt is so casual and encouraging only shows the cultural differences between those of us who have been raised in a more Puritanical way than the more open European cultures. I love it!! Your writing is so eloquent. Looking forward to the expansion of the story. Tony -
I, too, am intrigued by Tom's visit to Boston. Perhaps his ex might see that the boys need some serious father time and allow them to move to D. C. It sets up a good confrontation with her family. I like the way you are doing financial education, too. Responsibility and altruistic values combine to provide service to those needing assistance. You're doing a great job. I'm looking forward to many more chapters! Tony
-
Good story so far. You have the foundation for a story that I hope avoids the trite plots often found in this genre. You've got good characters, interesting plot points that can provide expansion without falling into the trap of redundant plots. I am looking forward to more chapters.

Chapter 37 Tossing and Turning
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 37 Tossing and Turning
You certainly do teen angst quite well. I am eager to see him move on, but I really want to see how he opens up to the family and see their reaction. The next chapter won't be published anytime too soon! Thanks for continuing to share your talents with us readers. -
So glad to see the continuation of this wonderful story. The quality of your writing, the interest that it holds and the excitement it offers as we await the coming chapters speak to the talent you share. Thanks...but don't keep us waiting too long for the next chapter please! Tony

Chapter 33 The First Day of Summer
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 33 The First Day of Summer
I especially like the realistic struggle that Robbie experiences as he comes to terms with his identity. He has had to deal with his mother's death, which he may have not yet totally mourned, and wants desperately to feel "normal". You have developed this story very well. I am impressed with the talent, depth, and understanding you continue to show. -
The struggle that Robbie is experiencing has nothing to do with being a slot. Rather, without a role model or someone to fully open up to, he is simply acting out of a need to feel wanted. I really like the process and journey. The story is so well written. I'm looking forward to the next 28 chapters. Keep up the good work, Dodger.

Having just read Second Shot for the second time and loving every word even more, I, perhaps selfishly, want to see it continue into their old age, one year at a time! You mention a forum where ideas can be bandied about - how do I access it? Is there an email? I am going to read more of your amazing writing. Thanks for sharing your gift. Tony

Chapter 22 The Guessing Game
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 22 The Guessing Game
Having 36 years as a counselor to adolescents, I find the journey that Robbie is taking to be so realistic, perhaps because it is reality-based. The struggle is very real in light of the time it represents. I really like this story and how it's progressing. -
Will there be a completion to this story? I was saddened when I read of Green's death. I hope he left notes about this story: it is so well written.
-
So very well done! You capture the survivor's guilt that cannot be totally assuaged when a suicide occurs. I look forward to your next story.
