Andy seems at the beginning of self-acceptance finally. Hope he finds the courage to speak with John. Tony

There are many priests in the RC Church who are gay and live a life of celibacy, just as there are gays who are not clergy who also choose to live a life of celibacy. This is not a pitch for celibacy so much as a statement that the reality does exist and is chosen for a variety of personal reasons. There are also RC priests who have chosen to join the Episcopal Church where they can both be gay and partnered in marriage. The decision how one lives a life that is true to one's conscience requires much introspection and a great deal of counseling. I am eager if Andy will finally open up to John. You are doing a great job with this story and I eagerly await each posting. Tony

There's the official teaching of the RC Church, but there's also the longstanding moral principle of individual conscience. Andy needs to talk this out with John...I have a feeling his age and experience will be very understanding and supportive of and for Andy. I look forward to the development of this story. Great job!!! Tony

Epilogue: The Butterfly Effect
pvtguy commented on Diogenes's story chapter in Epilogue: The Butterfly Effect
I so enjoyed a story about more mature men who ended up in a relationship that worked for both. Mark needed the experience with Carl in order to finally get to the point where he could have a healthy relationship with Dan. Great story. Tony -
It is true that the Episcopal Church is close to the Roman Catholic Church in liturgy and theology, but it takes a lot of soul searching to make the switch. It doesn't appear that the RC church will become more progressive any time soon. Still, for a Catholic to acknowledge the monarch of England to be the head of the church versus the Pope takes a total shift of thought and faith. Still, Andy needs to listen, reflect, and educate himself with more progressive theology and psychology. Great story!! Tony

This posting was my birthday gift. Thanks, Carlos. I hate for each volume to end and am really eager for the next one. You have crafted such a compelling story. I feel like they are my family.

You certainly have accurately described the tension in Andy. Having lived those same tensions, I am eager to see how Andy resolves them.

Each chapter just adds to the overall excellence. CJ definitely needs to share the content of the tweets with his dads, unless we find out Brett has a way of discovering them. Perhaps that is why he wants to meet for lunch. I, too, can't wait for Friday mornings either. I'm already feeling the pains of withdrawal. How long will we have to wait for the next volume? As always, thanks for sharing your remarkable talent with us. Tony

And the excellence continues! I like the development of Ozzie, his developing closeness to the dads, and his relationship with CJ. Patrick is maturing and his support by the larger family has allowed him to take this major step. Would that all kids in his situation had that support, as noted by CJ. Your balance of high drama and privacy is well done. Now, till next Friday! Tony

Chapter 18 - The Twins Come Home
pvtguy commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 18 - The Twins Come Home
It's been worth the wait. I like the progression that Geoff has made. Thanks, Carl. Tony -
Yes, the orange Teletubby comment certainly elicited a loud chuckle while reading. The explanation of the traditional wedding ceremony was also spot on. Yet, the tradition keeps happening. Carlos, you've created such a compelling story with engaging characters. Thanks over and over. Tony

Chapter 21 A Day of Surprises
pvtguy commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 21 A Day of Surprises
At last...I've been patiently waiting for the continuation of this story. I hope the next chapters follow more quickly (hint, hint). Thank you, Tim. Tony -
I could follow this story until CJ is 99! It's so full of warmth, love, humor, strong relationships and positive values. Thanks for continuing the journey, Carlos. Tony

I love the political scenes. I hope it continues to the primaries... Great chapter, as usual, Carlos. I look forward to Fridays for another chapter. Tony

I am so glad that this book doesn't end at the end of the year, but rather goes for several more chapters. This one was a warm respite from recent drama. Most enjoyable. You make me want to visit Miami and the locations noted! As for the format that came with this update to GA, it makes it more difficult for me to read as the print is so much smaller. I'll adapt or get stronger bifocals! Tony

I was really hoping for an intervention. Now I want to see how it affects Brad going forward. I realize there is only one more chapter in this year. I hope the next one starts soon after. I miss the quiet when the boys are gone too! Thanks again, Carlos. Tony F

Great job of describing the cultural differences between Australia and the U.S. While I would love to enjoy the Australian view - the gun culture is out of control in the U.S. - I do understand why guns are necessary even if I don't like it. As for the rest of the chapter, it is your usual excellence. Tony

I agree - a very intense chapter but the beginning of a fully honest relationship. As for handouts: droughtquake is overlooking a major point: many of the homeless have mental issues with no place to assist them. I don't pretend to know the solution, but I will readily give money or buy a meal for them. I can't be responsible for how some might use the money - that's on them. I can only be honest with myself and my own responsibility and conscience. I am thankful for the blessings that allow me to share.

Wonderful chapter, Carlos. Rather than repeat what others have so eloquently stated, I will just say that among the highlights of this chapter was the statement to Mr. Rubio. I may borrow that line in my next email to him. Tony

I have been drawn to this story from the first paragraph. This chapter finally allows Patrick to realize one family member with whom he can have a close relationship. I eagerly await the next chapter! Thank you, Tim, for continuing this story. Tony

Superb!!! Thank you for sharing this with us. I truly look forward to your future writing. Tony

While I wish that Peter could use the Lytons for slander, it probably wouldn't hold as they can claim they were acting on the welfare of the child. Great chapter. The next ones can't come fast enough. Tony

Robbie is maturing and getting more comfortable with himself. You've created more intrigue and I will find it difficult to wait for the next chapter. Tony

Wonderfully written chapter. As a former counselor and child advocate, I totally appreciate what the police are doing. However, the lawyer is very much needed to set the record straight. I do hope to see the grandparents brought before the judge. I see a turning point for Peter: he's moving from a selfish to a selfless view as he opens himself to loving the boys. I do believe Lisa needs to be brought up to date. She certainly is strong enough to let the police and court know her position. Hope the next chapter comes quickly! Tony

Thank you so much for returning to this story. I am eager to continue it. Great chapter, by the way. Tony
