A few hours of respite on the bus ride and then the heavy drama at the end of this chapter: great story telling which involves drawing out the feelings of the reader! I want to see how/if D gets back into full "bad" mode!

What a delightfully normal family situation is emerging. All of the players at Philpott Towers are truly becoming a cohesive group. Gray finds the assistance provided by Vince and Freddie keeps him organized and able to express himself better in his press releases.

I'm not sure a law was broken in the text, but it is definitely a threat to be taken seriously and could be used to show a pattern of behavior should things escalate on Timmy's part. I like that new friends are being made! They are finding and forming a peer group who is accepting and supportive of each other. Additionally, I am so appreciative of the supportive parents!!

And here I was thinking of the actress Audra MacDonald! Nonetheless, I am not surprised that the grandparents are much warmer than the parents. Still, where did Rory's dad get his obsession with the business and what the perfect life consisted of? Was it in reaction to his parents? That Audra was concerned about Gavin's motives just illustrates hangers-on of attitudes towards gays. However, she seems to dispel that idea after discussion. As Rory state, "If Gran doesn’t understand something, she lets you explain to her and even pretends to be interested when she’s not." -
The parental support they are receiving is wonderful! It seems they will soon have a couple more allies. And now , on to the next chapter!

What would this story be without such close brushes with trouble?!? D is so very protective of Joey, but Joey is developing a stronger side too! I'm eager to see what awaits them and if the security camera at the convenience store somehow plays into the next part of the trip. Regardless, the trip will not be without some challenges!

Marie-Louise and Ed share a common trait: neither seems to have a conscience. We've said a lot about M-L and there truly is nothing more to add here at this time that hasn't been said. Ed, on the other had, is scary: flat affect, no appearance of emotion about what he did. He did show that he can get angry quickly. I'm wondering who the other boy who stayed in the cafeteria with Ed and George is and what part he plays in this.- 27 comments

I get the feeling that full exposure of the relationship between Gavin and Jason will be made soon. Matthew will be very relieved and accepting. The conversation between Matthew and Rory was very frank and open! Wonderful! -
JJ's confidence just keeps growing! And his support group also keeps growing. His reflection on his family has led him to be more grateful and confident in their support and love of him. Great chapter. (I, too, hope it's Timmy in the bathroom, but he would have recognized that voice - or was it that voice he recognized? Hmmm)

Joey is the poster child for naive simplicity! He loves his mother especially and wants to do anything to help her. Thus, the phone call. Vinnie can and will find who's at the source of that landline! On the other hand, he has expressed his love for D. How will D ever educate him to be more careful?
