  1. No hiccups yet! I love that the parents are both concerned when they aren’t notified that the guys were going out of town for the weekend - signs of close families much like how I grew up. It can also be annoying but, in the end, they realize they are loved! Still love Olly!

    Many Other Boys

@Laura S. Fox - you definitely know how to write a very hot and erotic scene! Yet, in the heart of it, is a growing relationship that neither is fully aware of yet! Well done!
  3. This brought wonderfully warm fuzzies to the surface! Beautifully written!

    Chapter 10

I've done a binge reading of this story and thoroughly enjoyed it. The open honesty, the reflections of Mike and Art, and the exploration of a friendship that endured is absolutely beautiful. The little aside about life of some of the Mormon groups was very revealing. Sadly, this type of behavior is seen among other religious groups as well. The epilogue tied things up beautifully.
  5. I do hope Toby speaks with Brian and Gordon about the appearances of Jasper! Additionally, I do hope they take @Summerabbacat's suggestion and speak to the police about Jasper's stalking! That would turn the tables on Mother Dearest and the Dolt!
  6. Glad to see life working out for Gray, Rafa, and the families. Al’s glad to see the story will continue.

    Sleepover

There's one thing of intellectually being "liberal and accepting" and quite another emotionally when it hits home. As long as it is someone else out there being gay, or whatever, it is to be viewed; when it hits home, it requires love, not an intellectual exercise. I will withhold judgment of Noah's parents and agree to "sleep on it"....

    Hurt and Comfort

I feel more sad for Cottontail with each chapter. He is so beaten down in negative self-perception even though h, for a few moments, allowed himself to truly experience some joy via his accomplishment. Whether Jamie get noticed by his videos - and I hope he does - he has a desire to succeed as a musician and I believe he will achieve that goal. But as for a relationship with Bunny or anyone else, that remains to be seen.

    Chapter 43

Olly is still a star in this story! Here, provides some humor via just being the curious Olly. He innocently opened the door to the bathroom and got quite an eyeful! The relationship between him and Gray is delightful and heart warming! Raffa has the normal response to the injury he has sustained: depression, hope, acceptance (to a point), gratitude for the support he is getting from Gray and his family.

    Prologue

As a truly "late bloomer" - I was married in 1979 and going to school for my second master's degree and working full-time, I was so deep in the closet that I think i really built an addition onto it so I could go deeper! It took me another 10 years to finally start my journey out of the closet due to a good friend with whom I could talk without judgment and no attempt on his part to introduce me to the physical side of gay sex. I am not living with regrets, for if my life hadn't taken the path it did, I wouldn't have the wonderful son I have today, nor would I have worked through the journey that has allowed me to be comfortable in my own skin today!

    Chapter 42

Both Raffa and Gray have been through a great trauma. They will get through this with all the support they have!
  12. I get the impression that Vince may well suspect Freddie is gay, though he hasn't vocalized that yet. He (Vince) certainly has been impressed with his father's attitudes, but still is trying to break himself from the shackles they have placed on him. Graham is getting move involved with the town. I can see his becoming an integral part of it! Another truly charming chapter, if I may borrow @Summerabbacat's accurate descriptive account.

    Chapter 41

Love and youthful reactions! Grayson still blames himself even though he's been told more than once that what happened is not his fault but the result of the choices Animal made. Raffa is in shock but will receive lots of therapy, both physical and psychological. He will work through the process of accepting whatever is to happen with the love and support of family and friends - and especially Grayson!

    Retirement

John Renkin is a very sad human! I do hope he can find the strength to change his ways! I once had hope for him at the start of Liberty Academy, but that was soon extinguished. Great start to another story!

    Chapter 41

Sorry, @drsawzall, but I'd rather be a passenger than a fly on that catamaran! I just gained another pound or two vicariously tasting all that food! Again, a wonderful chapter!

    Birthday plans

I certainly empathized with Gordon: It was most difficult for me as a single father of a teenager to figure out what to do for his birthday, and I will admit that I fell short of anything exciting as his birthday fell during school days. We did play hooky one year and spent a day at Disneyworld, thanks to a friend who got us in on a pass. Both men are doing a wonderful job as partners! I can't quite figure if Liz is somewhat judgmental of Brian and Gordon and Toby and Noah, but she still likes the possibility of allowing Justin to stay at their office with Toby after school. Is that because it might save some money?

    Chapter 40

This chapter had several emoji responses in my mind: funny with the scenes with Chase and Bryan; wow with the final sentence, anger with Animal still present, fingers-crossed for hope for Raffa, but overall, love for the composite! I'm enjoying this story!

    Peace offering

What a way to get to know one's brother! Now they can deal with the naked truth!
  19. This is one of the finest stories to grace these pages! It is not for the faint of heart! It will bring tears, smiles, anger, and awareness to every reader. It deals with a very sensitive subject (child trafficking and abuse), but also hope, There is no shortage of compelling characters, heroic actions, and powerful emotions. If you have ever read the Jack Ryan stories written by Tom Clancy, you will find a similar format in the writing: seemingly disparate threads suddenly coalesce into a dramatic and powerful whole that is greater than the sum of the individual parts.
  20. I can only say "ditto" to the kudos mentioned above! This story needs to be published for others to read and learn from! Ytour writing is inspired, your story gripping, and the awareness it raises is most necessary. I do look forward to and hope for sequels!

    Secret Hater

It would be very nice if serious musicians would notice Jamie's videos. The number of likes do not guarantee success in realizing his dream - but notice of serious people will! Cottontail and his brother are headed for a split, I do believe!

    Chapter 39

Yes, I caught that too...Gray is trying to cover for Mike, but it may well come to bite him in the end!
  23. pvtguy

    Chapter 39

A very powerful time for Grayson: his time with Raffa was needed and cathartic, and his meeting with the police was equally cathartic. His mother is amazingily supportive! I hope the police can find Mike and get him to cooperate.
  24. I can remember those days in Jr High and High school! And then dealing with students for my entire educational career, Damien is very real to me! It's a sad fact that there are teachers out there who occupy space but do not teach their subjects (but do teach others what incompetence looks like as adults),

    Chapter 38

Gray is having to grow up quickly and face the "what ifs" squarely. He is finding the depth of support in both families, which is wonderful.
