  1. Below, you will find the answers to the Scavenger Hunt Questions. The game did not go well: there were no players! As it turns out, anyone could have won by just sending in the posted answer sheet (which contained an answer to #9, added due to a goof of mine). However, no one did, so the prize went unclaimed. I would very much appreciate it if people could give me their reasons for not playing, so that I can understand what went wrong. Why was the game unappealing to you personally? What about it didn't you like? What could have been done differently that would have made you more likly to play? Please, post in this thread with any opinions or reasons that you can think of. I'll really appreciate it, and you could be helping us avoid a future fiasco of this nature. Thanks Everyone! CJ Viv's Questions: 1 Q: Stephen has a shirt that has three letter on it and they are the initials for what two things? A: L.A.C. stands for Laura Ann Cooper, his mom, and the band Lost and Confused. 2 Q: What color socks did Stephen
  2. I think that about sums it up, Vic!!! Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And talk about cliffhangers! I've seen Dom cliffhangers before, but never more than one at a time!! I'm going to need to let this one sink in a bit, then re-read it.
  3. You're back! Welcome back, hope you had a great trip!

Great pictures!!! My personal picks would be the bottom left in both sets. I'll also say that in your <cough> hypothetical situation, The object of your hypothetical interest is totally out of his tiny mind!!!!! (Either that, or 100% straight.) CJ
  5. What? A battle looms, and no speculations? Will the Pirates play a role? Will Garret even make it to the Adamant? I wonder if he will have to take that crashed shuttle? Does the Admant have the ability to land? They do have gravity control, but I don't recall it being said that the Admant could land. I'm still wondering if we have seen the real Tremere yet! Any thoughts, anyone?
  6. I agree....let's get the mimes!!!! :2hands: :2hands: :2hands: Um, do mimes carry cash and jewelry??? I think we should let the Mimes speak for themselves.
  7. Same here, I wasn't thinking of anyone in particular. Well, with the possible exception of mine when I had the Scavenger Hunt banner up.
  8. I'm busted! Yep, I knocked the font size down by one.
  9. Graeme, don't tell anyone, but I'll let you in on a secret: Kevin really isn't all that quiet; he does post quite often. He might even be a postaholic in denial. I'm NOT speaking as a moderator here, just a user offering his personal opinion, but I agree. I've reduced the font size on mine, and in my case the graphic is a GA tag that will already be in the cache once anyone views a post of any member of the writer support team. I need to have it there as I'm on two different teams, and it's fairly small, and needed due to me using my sig for team projects. Peronally, I like the smaller sigs, and I'm more inclined to read them, but that's just me.
  10. Don't worry Kevin, if I ever did add that quote to my siggy, no one would ever see it due to me almost never posting.
  11. I collect T-shirts from unusual places I travel to. I have several from Russia, one from the Falkland Islands, one from Estonia, etc, etc, etc. The person below me is a fellow travel addict!
  12. Totally agreed, and I think it's great when a person's sig reflects their personality Or, even better, when it quotes them.
  13. That certinaly sounds good to me!
  14. <shudder>. They admit that they want to make their vresion of religion a state religion (abloish the seperation of church and state). I wonder if these people have ever really read the words of a like-minded individul, by the name of Osama Bin Laden?
  15. Nothing would surprise me. Arizona still has laws against both sodomy and adultery on the books, though so far as I know technically not enforced. BUT, the fact that they are illegal does have impact, such as when seeking adoption, law enforcement employment, etc. Also, here is another facet of Arizona law. Suppose two 17 year olds (regardless of gender) are involved in a physical long-term relationship. Suppose that one of them is a day older then the other (any age difference will do, but it can be as small as one day). When the eldest turns 18, if the relationship continues he or she can be prosecuted for felony statutory rape, including being given the life-long label of "registered sex offender". In practical terms, they don't bother enforcing this against females who happen to be a few days older than their boyfriends. However, if the boyfriend is the older one, it will be prosecuted if there is a complaint (by anyone). With gay relationships, it's even more likely to result in prosecution. Oh, it's illegal to hunt camels here in Arizona, it's illegal for Donkeys to sleep in Bathtubs, and any misdemeanor committed while wearing a red mask becomes a felony (though any other color is ok).
  16. I have no idea what optimal would be. Mine, certainly, is often on the large side as I use it mainly to advertise projects and events around GA (though I did add my own story ). I'd love to hear what people have to say on this issue.
  17. The Bible is quite blunt (far more specific than it is on homosexuality) on a lot of things that they prefer to ignore. Men must wear beards, two types of cloth my not be mixed, the prohibition of crop rotation, PI =3, etc, etc. However, as for abstinence, the state of Arizona is spending a bundle on a TV advertising campaign plugging total abstinence before marriage for everyone. So, that rather neatly raps up the issue in many eyes: Ban sex outside of marriage, and prohibit gays from marrying. (I've heard that very argument on several occasions).
  18. Hi Nick! You have occasionaly posted things that I disagree with, but I admire you a lot. Heck, you came out at 15! At that age I was still years away from coming out to myself! I doubt that anyone here hates you, even if you do post Goat recipies. CJ
  19. I have a hunch that many of the GA forums have slowed down, due to the start of the fall college semester in the US. I hope things will pick back up again soon.
  20. That hits close to home! I check into GA a lot while I'm working. The problem is, I can't keep it a secret from my boss (I'm self-employed). If it gets any worse, I might have to fire me! The person below me has to work on weekends and holidays!
  21. Hi Kara!!! Thank you!!!!! I'll be posting a new story in a few weeks, plus Jason and Trevor are the main characters in the continuation of "No Shirt", which I'm also working on. Wow, a fellow Northern Arizonan! I lived in Phoenix for ten years before heading up to the mountains, and the climate where I'm at is about the same as Flagstaff: LOTS of winter snow. I had my first hard freeze this week, so winter is on it's way.
  22. Thank you Viv, it was great and I learned a lot! And Thank you Kevin, for setting everything up.
  23. I have basically been creating the storyline first, and then molding the characters to fit it. Mine are composites, I never really base them on anything. I'm not sure if this is the "right" way, but it's what I've been comfortable with so far.
  24. I loved the way you worded that last sentence! TOSM is very much unlike anything Dom has given us previously, so my guess is that at this point anything is possible.
  25. Thanks for the list, James! I hadn't heard of some of those.
