**Tissue Warning** This story had my heart breaking. All the kids sitting on Santa’s knee asking for expensive toys, then along comes Chase. All he wants for Christmas is a Car…for his Dad. When asked why his answer will have any reader in tears. As his story emerges the reader is sucked into a tale of loss and heartache. I loved Deans character and how he manages the situation with care and compassion. And of course, I am hoping there is healing and love in their future.

Kitryn jolted awake at the sound of pounding. It took a moment for him to orientate himself before he realized someone was banging on the front door. Swinging out of the bed he pulled on a pair of pants as he heard Meg running down the hall yelling, “I’m coming, hold your horses.” Kitryn arrived at the door and he watched Meg open it to reveal a very flustered David. “You need to leave now. All of you.” David panted as he spoke as though he had been rushing. “David, what’s wrong? Wha

Chapter 6 Bloodied and Broken
Caz Pedroso commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 6 Bloodied and Broken
Hmmm, and just what does Richard want. If it's to apologize, then I would tell him to think first about if he's doing it for himself or some other reason. Coz if he's just doing it to make himself feel better then that's not fair on Drake. Drake needs to listen better. He's only hearing what he wants to hear from Jimmy, although I think he still needs time to process all that's happened so far on this trip as well. Another great chapter, Gary- 84 comments

I think the family i still growing as well Fran is a mystery at the moment but hopefully Meg can help shed some light. More important? Yes, More fun? Nope Thanks, Gary, this story is slowly writing itself and even i don't have a plan for where its heading, so we are all along for the ride. Thank you all for reading and commenting it means a lot.

The group spent the next week settling into a routine and trying to make plans within plans. Their first aim was to see if they could find more survivors from Kitryn’s family and friends. Simon was sure that if Kitryn had escaped then others may have done too. Simon was surprised how easily he learned to control his feeding. He alternated feeding from Kitryn and Meg. They always made sure the kits weren’t in the room, but they didn’t hide what was happening either. The kits had already been

Chapter 5 Promises of Forever
Caz Pedroso commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 5 Promises of Forever
Great chapter as always, Gary, and lots to think about. I agree with the others that Jimmy is not being all that subtle with his comments but, I also don't think Drake has really cottoned on yet. As for Richard and Preston? I am still reserving my opinion, I learnt a long time ago to not judge too quickly without the facts and am trying to adhere to that here. I really think there is a lot Gary hasn't hasn't told us yet -
I've got it arriving at my local library on Monday

Just finished the Last Herold Trilogy yesterday, loved it (a bit of a bittersweet ending, but heartwarming at the same time) and am starting on The Mage Storm Trilogy tonight. Once again wonderful story (especially good now I've gotten to know Van separately as well) and thanks for introducing me to this world

Chapter 4 Repercussions
Caz Pedroso commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 4 Repercussions
And so we know a bit more about Preston. That still doesn't excuse his appalling behaviour...maybe explains it a bit, but definitely doesn't excuse it. Another intriguing chapter Gary -
A great chapter as always Gary. I think something must have happened to Preston to make him act how he is. Maybe some hidden feelings? Looking forward to more

This was a really hard story to read. I found myself wanting to yell at the characters. The bad guys for what they were doing, and the gooder guys for what was right under their noses and they weren’t seeing. When all the stuff that is happening unfolds I felt sick. This was one story where I really wanted the bad guy to be killed in the most painful and slow way possible. If it had been real life I probably would have offered few suggestions on what to cut off first. Jason moves fast when he realizes what’s happening, but in my opinion, he should have seen what was going on a lot sooner and been more suspicious. A really compelling read and one that will have you reading with bated breath throughout.

This is my favorite of the two Neko stories. I like this one because Kayden’s confidence has really risen, and he stands up Damien when he is accused of something he didn’t do. Although, storming off does backfire in some ways, in others it is the right thing to do. I wanted to punch Damien, even though he had his reasons for thinking as he did, the way he went about dealing with it was wrong and hurtful. When Kayden storms off and his friends tell him off it makes Damien realize he has a lot of groveling to do. Of course, other things intervene and the groveling has to wait a while. But, the things that happen give Kayden a chance to show how much he has grown. A wonderful read

Casey’s uncle thinks Casey is so naive and in some was he is, but in other ways not so much. Once Shawn comes onto the scene the reader sees a change in Casey. He stands up for himself more and works with Shawn to make an escape plan. The ending of this story is unexpected and I promise it is well worth the read.

This was the first story of Craftingmom’s that I read. I loved it and soon devoured the rest of her work and of course I followed her so I would find out when anything new is posted. I loved the alternative world CM created for this story. The characters are written so well you feel what they feel. Damian starts the story so closed off and all about duty, no fun allowed. But, as he has to spend time with Kayden he starts to smile more and starts to loosen up. They then have to work together to face off against everyone who may be trying to get rid of Damian and Kayden. A wonderful read as always from CM

I fell in love with Kye very early on in this story. Here was a young man who was trying to do his best and everyone around him was either abusing him or thought he was a pampered pet. Then to make matters worse he is rescued only to be judged by his rescuers as well. Slowly the real story comes out and Lord Ash gets to know the real Kye. It’s not long before Ash falls for Kye and they begin to work at a relationship. Of course, things never go easy. Cue Kye’s dad to try and mess things up for Kye…Again! I won’t spoil the ending, all I will say is I have read this story so many times can probably repeat a lot of it off by heart. A great read

Meg insisted everyone call her grandma and by the time the kits woke up from their nap Simon was fully up to date. Simon sighed. “So, we have a rogue witch to worry about. As well as hunters and maybe the vamp who changed me. Have I missed anyone?” Kitryn shook his head while dishing up the kits’ food. “No, that sounds about right. We need to work out a plan. My group may be gone, but what if this witch targets other shifters or paranormals? And we need to make sure the hunters haven’t m
