So teaching magic? To get to the skill level required, Ethan has his work cut out for him. But he's motivated at least. I'm wondering about the timeline. Could Caleb's part of the story be before Ethan shows up? Or is Caleb walking around the afterlife at the same time Ethan and Liz are working their magic ( )?

It's beef, carrots, onions, leeks, garlic, bacon, wine... Then stock and black pepper. We'll see if it lives up to the taste test.

So... I seem to recall food being a popular topic. Just making the first beef stew for the autumn season. I hope it turns out ok. (I'm mostly looking forward to a nice red to go with it... 😁🍷)

Rewriting history and bringing people back from the dead... Liz sure is piling up ways that usually make things go very wrong. If Ethan doesn't remember, will he trust her enough to help fetch Caleb? Is that even possible? Hmm... I guess we'll see what happens. -
Oh gosh... I never print stuff, but your story made me think of my poor unfinished ones. Maybe I need to get back on track with writing...? Glad the papers were saved.

Hi! I haven't chatted a lot lately, since my usual hangout sort of fizzled out. Don't really feel there's much use joining the predominantly American based chats, since I'd only play catch up. So maybe this is good... Flour containers... You bake a lot?

I never considered this. For my writing, I only use Word. I've never had any formatting problems.

So the truth is slowly revealing itself to Jake. Yes, he's in for a rough few days. But good for him to resist even though he isn't convinced he has a problem. Interesting that he chose that pot for himself. Maybe Nats should do pot therapy, get to people's true emotions and thoughts by having them pick out pots... Like Rorschack (you know the one, I'm sure even with atrocious spelling) in clay.

I remember always being so angry at Orpheus as a child, for not being able to just wait until he was out of Hades before he turned to look at Eurydice. The instructions had been so clear. Very simple. I guess rules attracted me back then already.

Oh wow! Is that really Ethan? I'm not liking the sound of that voice. Liz is right. They weren't thinking and now there's someone brought out/back from the dead. Who? And where did Caleb go? I guess we'll see in part 2.

They are in no state to be playing with the forces of life and death. If that door opens, it could bring all sorts of horrors. And now Caleb seemsset to sacrifice himself. Is that really what Ethan would have wanted? I don't think so. So, who is talking to Caleb...? -
I sure hope Caleb appreciates Liz' actions. At least he didn't judge her. Easily done if you're surprised by seeing something like that. Now for that spell...

Now that is going above and beyond for a friend. But she believes the spell will work and wants to help heer friends. Could be worth an icky blow job (when did he last shower...?).

Yes, Tony, that was close. I feel like going into mom mode and say "That's 1!" just as a warning he's on thin ice. But luckily, Geoff is a grown man who can realise a mistake when he sees it.

Good for Matt to have a steady job and good for them both they can live together. Difficult with distance relationships, long or not.

Jake comes across in awe of Nats' ability. Quite a bit jealous too. Watching someone connect while he can't. He doesn't miss it, but he is definitely curious about actually seeing the one you're with. Not just getting off on them. Still waiting for him to crash though...

Wow! Fifteen years! That deserves a cake! I'm very pleased I followed @Timothy M. here with the crumbs of slightly naughty stories he left. To read all the stories here, from the very serious to the most for fun, has become a favourite. To write myself has been deeply rewarding, with all the encouragement. What makes me the happiest, though, are all the friends I've made. One in particular has become so important in my life. Now, I can't imagine life without him. For that I'm forever grateful. -
For someone who must've studied addiction and related issues, he's doing a good job of repressing his knowledge. Too scary? But he got there in the end. So he knows which monster he's staring down. My guess is his drinking is primarily situational, so not drinking the first night he stays in could be not as much of a challenge as it will be later on when his body suddenly realises it's not getting any alcohol. The surprising change of habit got him through this first rough day. It will get very much tougher from now on...
