    Chapter 1

Vengeance... Well, I won't cry for Eddie. Not a very nice person. The senator will get his.

    Selfie

Now that was scary... Very graphic. I could smell the blood, taste the bile...

    Ghosting

“Hey, I told you this was nothing!” Eddie didn’t even try to stop the condescending smile spreading across his face. The guys’ idea of Halloween fun was so lame. A haunted house? Honestly, were they twelve? With all the entertainment available only a few clicks away these days, going to see some losers in less than impressive costumes try to scare people was so old fashioned. And Eddie didn’t do old fashioned. He barely did last week. Eddie turned to shoot Mark and Kyle a smug look, on
  4. It's haunted!
  5. Gosh... Need to get my antho in order... Gah!

    Developments

That's life. One thing improving, another going to hell. Geoff will need to work on his confidence. Having Tony to tell him he's an amazing guy could help, if he dares to believe him.

    4-4 - Wake-up Call

Orpheus is insistent. But so is our gang... But to take the fight to the underworld? Sounds very risky... Even if they have Caleb for support.
  8. I voted and left a little "analysis" in the status section. Sex scenes are not easy, it seems.
  9. Ok... Jake, you are not fine. This is getting scary, actually. What else is he up to that he doesn't remember? Has he lashed out at Nat? Been abusive to his dad? Also, starting a relationship now is probably the worst idea ever. Friendship - yes. Lovers - no...

    4-3 - Illumination

Well, blacking out like that isn't very sneaky. But I guess it's difficult to know effects of actions when crossing between worlds. Or Orpheus had a sudden name change...

    4-2 - Direction

I can never understand anyone choosing to throw out their kid over religion. It's incomprehensible. Maybe talking to Caleb is the way to go. Team up on Orpheus, if they can sneak this whole thing past him...

    Chapter 2

Well, I hope they take advantage of his passing out and remove that thing. Or will that be too much of a shock?
  13. As I read it, I think it's supposed to be unpublished and Cia will publish them. Or set it for the 29th.
  14. I'll be back with my usual crappy guessing!
  15. It's more hinted at in the story, but I see it very clearly in my mind. Sneaky bastard, our Eddie.
  16. Damn it! My Eddie just developed a backstory... He was supposed to be an asshat! Oh well...
  17. It's just a short story for fun, so don't be so hard on yourself.
  18. Mine too!
  19. Not sure if the prompt was vague. I didn't read all the information until too late (ie my brain had hatched a plan and wouldn't budge).
  20. Shoot... i missed the voting. For some reason I thought the 25th was the date. Oh well... I'll have a serious talk with my brain.

    Epilogue

Just that is what I've enjoyed so much about this story. It's a slice of life and that is all one needs sometimes. Then I admit to liking a bit of villain and explosions on occasion too. It is refreshing, though, to read a story where life simply unfolds. Although, not everyone (straight or gay) are lucky enough to find someone to truly love and be able to hang onto them. But it does happen.
  22. Well, speaking of demeaning marriage I'd say heterosexual couples are doing that just fine on their own, with divorce rates being what they are. Also among the conservative and religious. I can't recall any calls for outlawing divorce. So the end of days will come regardless. Of course you are right. Each person should be allowed to love and marry freely. How can that still be such a source of debate?
  23. He he, @northie. I'm being somewhat loose with the prompt as well. We'll see what happens...
  24. So, a chapter about Eddie but it talks more about Jake. The way I see it, Jake is afraid to meet because he knows Eddie can read him just as well as he can read Eddie. The whole "if you don't think I'm good enough for you, you're not right" is Jake saying he doesn't feel good enough himself. Wall upon wall to protect himself... ‘People say cancer survivors, but you never really get over it. These people fight it their whole lives. When part of your body betrays you, it’s personal. They take life seriously, soberly, savoring each moment.’ This hit me hard. So true.
