Awww... this was a charming story despite the sadness of loss. Some great, natural-sounding dialogue in this as well. I always like to read about truly loving parents who accept who their children are. Got me in the feels. Thank you. Cheers!
This chapter brought me back to the time I used to make my own canvasses, constructing the wood forms and stretching and stapling the canvas. Such a long time ago.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Thanks, Albert.
Yeah, fires from the north. It is really dry around here... the driest I can ever remember. I'm only doing one load of laundry a day just in case unless my son and DIL absolutely need more.
Hugs to you too, Stefano. This is a difficult story at times, but I hope you found it rewarding. I'm glad it touched you deeply. I am extremely proud of this story, and I wish it got more attention, though it did have quite a following at the time. If you would be so kind as to leave a Story Review, I would truly appreciate it. That would help with stirring new readership. Cheers, my friend.
I got busy this afternoon and took down four more sections of old fence. It was behind my apple trees in the side yard, and now I can mow around them. I was unsure, but now I'm glad I did it. My son says it looks much better.
Same here. Last evening I sat outside and enjoyed a cool breeze. It's really comfortable this afternoon, but there is a air quality warning because of wildfire smoke from the north.
