    Chapter 2

A lovely and perfect story! Doubly perfect today. Thanks for this!
  2. What a wonderful story Tim! I know everybody wants more, including me in a way. In a way only because it might spoil the perfection of the short story as it stands, It's always dangerous to screw with perfection!
  3. Hey Lisa, thanks for all your great comments! Sam's little confession was something unexpected and surprising. He seems, on the outside, to have a good life. But we remember David beat up a kid who was picking on Sam 2 years ago. So maybe there's something else going on with him. I see you noticed David demoted her to 'the woman' -- each time she assaults him she slips down a rank ...hehe You're right about David pinging all the gay boys' gaydar. His must be broke - although he picks his fantasies pretty accurately The little kiss arrangement seems to have evolved from the hospital encounters. We're not sure how David has decided it's OK to do it this way. Another of his weird little quirks I guess.
  4. Hey Spikey! Thanks for the review! I actually just stumbled across it. Somehow I never saw it in my notifications -- probably got lost in one of those days all the Valentine stories were clogging up notifications. All the points you raise are valid. I'm not going to justify the behavior of a 19 year old ...hehe. But maybe it's not as bad as it seems. Of course, it could be worse. Ask Steve. The money deposit is still out there. That is, the loan officer was looking at a header of the ACH which would identify the issuing bank. All Toph had do so was ask her and she could have given him more detail by researching the full wire. But it's still there. All he has to do is ask. Gary should have known that. It's why his un-helpfulness, when questioned, is suspicious. Not necessarily in a nefarious way, but suspicious.
  5. Ah ...eau de hipster, I know it well! So Preston is afraid of turning guys (read: Indie) off by being too clingy, yet turns into Indie's boirista! --- Hmmm ...look at more than your pretty reflection in that mirror Preston! And now Indie spent the night without being asked. Is it something ...or is Indy afraid to go home and accidentally step into a puddle of cum in his living room totally hot today Another fantastic chapter dayne!!!
  6. Hey dayne (giggling here) thanks for the comments! David does seem to spread his kisses around (to everyone but the woman who lives in his house) Matty certainly does seem to have gayzer focus, doesn't he? Watch out Chuck!
  7. Aw jess, David is having so much fun being not gay! He has the best of both worlds. He knows he's in love with Twoey, he kisses him, he flirts with him, he sees him every day, he's figured a way to undress in front of him AND he's still not gay! That's an amazing accomplishment!
  8. Thanks Def! Haha ...not gay David advising Deena on being yourself was a little ironic ...almost cruel In his defense, David is taking care to not horsey-force Sam and Deena together. He only wants them to meet and figures little cupid will take over from there. Now that he sees the white van, will it move from a curiosity to a threat in his mind? He should ask Putin!
  9. Thanks oxala! After all this time and torment, I wonder which straw is going to be the one to break the back of not-gay David! It sure is piling up, along with his not not-gay friends
  10. Whoah! Parker, you should have named this chapter Surprises! Surprising Andy had crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's -- got the judge to give permission Surprising the venue for their wedding will be church he slept in Surprising the priest will plea for a wedding during Lent And the big surprise at the end, with the appearance of Ambrose Whitley Now we really can't wait for the next chapter!!
  11. It was a good chapter Carlos! Of course we had to catch up on all the news from Washington, but the highlight was surely CJ, once again, showing remarkable maturity in dealing with Owen. I thought he did it well too. Thanks for bringing winter back to the cold brrrr
  12. That's a great beginning, tim! I'm worried for what Tait is about to go through, naturally. His new world, unknown and frightening, would expectedly make him uneasy. He is certainly looking at an extended period of time when things won't be right. He'll be Out of His Mind. Of course what he needs is a person. One whom he can trust and love. One who will put his terrible experience out of his mind. I sure as hell hope you find him one!
  13. We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the road. They get run over. - Ambrose Bierce *** “Swimming practice started yesterday and I'm seriously pumped to make varsity.” Gary is a really good swimmer and as a freshman he was regularly the fastest in almost every type of stroke. He'll be on varsity after the second practice, just watch. “So, does that mean you're gonna shave your head?” He laughed. “I don't think so, but I might get my hair cut back a little.” “You're g
  14. Hey Lisa, thanks for the neat comments! I liked un-straight too! Chuck's gonna do a whole lot of growing up really fast! Did I mention Matty noticed him?
  15. Hey oxala! Great comments. It IS a little 'queer' how he considers Lanni to be Twoey's gf. It's like his mind has overruled the fact Twoey told him he came out to Lanni -- strange. Chuck is in a dream world right now ...hehe -- but it's good he was on Earth enough to knock David out of the way of that nasty van.
  16. Hey oxala! Yep! Definitely demoted. And more demotions ahead ; (in all our eyes)
  17. Hey Lisa, thanks for the great comments! Lanni sure didn't have much trouble picking up on David. hehe. The pastor and birth-giver aren't quite done f**king with David's mind yet. Unfortunately. At least he has some powerful allies.
  18. Hey oxala! We hope David's shields are fully up. It is a war and he has some powerful allies, but PPG is ugly and we haven't yet seen just how much.
  19. Thanks again for the great comments oxala! Your reviews are so entertaining, I look forward to them! Vladimir is certainly the right man for the job. David's subconscious seems to be more aware than his conscious is. Expect gunfire.
  20. Hey thanks oxala! Yes JFC indeed! At this point we aren't sure if he's a tool, an acolyte or a serious danger. But the combination you mention is seriously menacing. Even David, usually oblivious to even the most obvious, is aware.
  21. Humorously ironic. Makes me think of some cliché about where apples fall. And the best irony, David seems only a little less clueless ... his adults seem to be helping. Hey oxala! Thanks for the comments! You're the only reviewer to mention the parallel between David and his dad! I thought maybe I didn't make it clear enough. Thanks for noticing!!
  22. FYI Twoey, David is a little queer. The boy has strange ideas. Blame Sam and/or Tommy's mother. Better yet, don't worry about it. Whether David, Derrick, Danny, Asclepius, Oxala, or the Virgin of Guadalupe, someone's got your back, er neck . Sorry, I just can't see the words "Derek Jeter" without laughing. lol. Great oxala! If seeing "Derek Jeter" brings a laugh, then I succeeded! "David is a little queer" Your probably right, even if he doesn't admit it yet
  23. Thanks for the kind words mg! David does have a goodness to him. Sometimes he does questionable stuff, but it never seems he wants to hurt anyone on purpose -- well, I guess there are a few exceptions: Coulton, Johnson, Burch -- but we all want to hurt them, severely.
  24. Hey oxala! Thanks for all that. If David were a quarterback, Payton would surly be his helper! Your link didn't work, but I found Omahallelujah on YouTube and thoroughly enjoyed it, as you predicted -- Am I that transparent? Sorry if the spiritualism, or whatever it is, bothered you. I tried to make it ambiguous, but maybe not ambiguous enough? Anyway, it has no direct bearing on the story beyond David's continuing use of helpers, which we can either consider 'spiritually connected' or living completely within his head. It doesn't matter except for their influence. whew.
  25. Thanks oxala! Even though it was well predicted, the 'serious turn' upset some readers. I even think we lost a few. But that's life. It was necessary for the story, especially later, near its conclusion. There will be a few more bumpy roads. That being said, David's journey is full of humor and will continue to be.
