  1. I need me a large order of sunlight. Do they have a website? Selling weather, who’d have thunk it? Why, northie, of course!

    Crack Someone Up

Okay, so it wasn’t what I expected. The misdirect was brilliantly executed, Mac. Well done!

    Wrong Footed

Oh that was fun! A visit with the boys and Larry and Francis is always a treat. Faris and James and their mishaps - it’s in their DNA, I’m sure - was a terrific way to showcase your idiom. Well done, and thanks for this, tim. I laughed myself silly reading it.
  4. Unique and engrossing tale. I like what you did here, Def. Well done!

    The Escape

I really enjoyed this short story. While it can be read as a stand-alone story, I loved the tie in with No Regrets - A Forbidden Love Story. Nicely done.

    Leopard Hunt

Great start and looking forward to more!
  7. My question is: why not? I've read many gay shifter stories. Some done well, some not, but I do find the genre enjoyable, overall.
  8. Some good and positive news. Lets hope it continues... https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/humboldt-survivor-breakthrough-support-continues-pour/

    ATGB I

@apjordan I was sure I had seen the word fiancée before, so I did a little digging, learning something along the way. I found the following explanation for the difference in spelling in multiple sources. So in the end, fiancé is correct. Also, in Old French, fiancé means ‘a promise’. I know I’ve learned a lot of different things reading CJ, but this was unexpected...and pretty cool.
  10. Well, that’s awkward. Hmm...
  11. Forgot to say: YAY! Food Bytes is back!
  12. From what I’ve heard/read/seen on his commercials, I’m not a big fan of Dr. Bernstein. But that’s all perception, right? Anyhoo, what I finally figured out is that our bodies like real food as opposed to processed/full of additives food. Our bodies don’t know how to break down and use the manufactured stuff, so it gets stored away, and not for a rainy day. Our bodies are happy when they’re fed nutritious, real foods that have ingredients they can use that makes the body “happy”. Case in point, earlier today, I was able to get out for a walk. Ended up thirsty - ie, dehydrated - and had a wonderfully tasty glass of water to rehydrate. Felt much better than having a sugar laden drink, that’s for sure.
  13. Never knew this, thanks for the wise up. It’s okay, though because when I switched to Greek yogurt, I stopped eating the fat free kind.
  14. @Caz Pedroso That was beautiful and perfect. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us.
  15. Thanks. Some of us need instructions in triplicate...
  16. tim, I really like your idea of prepping breakfast the night before. What you’ve talked about sounds tasty and easy to out together. One point to clarify, do you store the prepped breakfasts in the fridge? I’m thinking yes since the milk is already added to it. And speaking of milk, I need some right now. See you later....
  17. Reading your words, I feel the strength and resolve you have within you, James. I’ll be thinking good thoughts and best wishes for you, your mom, and your brother.
  18. @Graeme Further news on the story you posted. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/australian-dog-receives-police-honours-for-keeping-lost-child-safe/ar-AAw8clR

    The Pick-Up

This is when I knew that new guy wasnot a clone, and that everything was going to be good that time around.

    The Pick-Up

tim, it was quirky and amusing. It was just that tiny little bit that wasn't more than a whisper on the wind. Got over that momentary bit of trepidation quite quickly, so all is well.

Dugh, I have a theory about this, but I need to do a little research so I get the facts correct. Will report back later. As for you Carlos? Invoking my name because you just knew I wouldn’t be able to resist checking this out, eh? Who am I kidding, even if you hadn’t said anything, I would have gone looking. Still, I think my theory will put things to right.

    The Pick-Up

This made me nervous, tim. It felt like hopes had been dashed. The player may have known “the score”, but it seemed he wished to be seen as something more - I could feel his disappointment in these words. To borrow Dugh’s marvellous descriptor, the “clone” bringing out the “something more” was simply grand. @MichaelS36 As for you, Mike? Thank you for sharing what only you see. That glimpse of tim, the writer, was perfection.

    The Pick-Up

And you wrote ten. My, but your pen can flow.... You told a good tale, tim. Have to admit I got a bit nervous part way through, but your words put that worry to rest and left me smiling. You make this look effortless, but I know it’s not. Kudos to you, my friend.
  24. No, no, no A! Don't think about it. Tibs aligning himself with the other grandparents (can't say maternal, because they are anything but that) can only turn out badly. Then again, Adam has a lot of good people on his side, so there is that...
