  1. tim, your words are my view. Nicely, and accurately, described. My brain latched onto your comment about the dirty windows. I had the same thought when I was looking out mine last night...
  2. I liked and understood the first poem, but it was the second that produced a spontaneous giggle. I wondered where you were headed with that one. Who knew it was all about you hoarding the asparagus? I’ll tell you now, I had it for the first time - in a “oh hell, let’s try it moment - not long ago, and wouldn’t you know I liked it. So, fair warning, if there’s ever asparagus on our table, hoarding will not be allowed...nuh uh. Great stuff tonight, tim!
  3. Okay, this is weird. tim said that, not me, but it’s quoted as me. I think the gremlins are baaaccckkkk....
  4. @BlindAmbition mine says the same, jp. I’m mostly on my tablet, and I have to say I love this feature. I was having trouble with submitting post in a PM, so I backed out of it to get rid of the problem. Opened the post again, and everything I had typed was all there. What a huge relief.
  5. I just might.
  6. I understand you're not an expert, but having a vested interst - your husband’s health and wellbeing - in finding sound information on this subject, I believe you’ve done your due diligence to weed out the bad info. You haven’t been spouting nonsense as far as I can tell.
  7. So true about the sugary snacks, tim. I was really craving ice cream last night to the point I almost went out and bought some. Will power won out over the craving, and I have to say, that today, I am glad I didn’t give in. Today, I have had no cravings and am making healthy choices. Does wonders for the psyche let me tell you. I know not everyone listens, hears, and adheres to good advice, but I listen to you tim. I know you’ve studied and researched the things you talk about, so there’s never a need to take your advice with “a grain of salt” as the saying goes. What you impart to those who will listen is backed with fact and topped with a good dose of your heart. So, thank you for doing the heavy lifting, and sharing what you’ve learned.
  8. That was something, wasn’t it? I dont know about the rest of you, but this is right up there on my “favourite lines” list.
  9. A wonderful and heartfelt tribute, tim. If there is such a thing as heaven, your friend is smiling down at you. Her seal of approval a given.
  10. That was my line of thought regarding Brett’s reaction. He was thinking...crap, I just got you and now you’re leaving? I think he panicked a little thinking of that loss. As for the videos? It was too early in the morning to figure out if I could just copy them from the PM. Thanks to you, now I don’t have to figure it out. So, PS: Love the Men at Work song. Listening to it now...
  11. A delightfully fun and serious and sentimental - yes, you heard me correctly - chapter, Mr. Hazday. I will expand a bit more on this later. It’s a tad early, so the coherent juices ain’t flowing yet.
  12. Not a rocking chair, but @dughlas‘s comment got me thinking about what this scene might look like...
  13. Read the Las Vegas Trilogy over four years ago, and I recall thoroughly enjoying all three books. I’m a bit fuzzy on the details, so I’m thinking I should read them again... My advice: give them a good look, I think you’ll like them, too.

    Supernova

Magical and mystical...truly beautiful in its description of two souls coming together in an unbreakable force
  15. Then Father I think I’d like a pint of ale! I’ve quite a thirst!” That line made me giggle and endeared Alasdair to me unshakably. Of course, his subsequent actions served to strengthen that endearment. As for the dragon, who knew they could be so refined and genteel? This is is a great tale of the importance of listening to each other and never assuming you know what is right and what isn’t. Well done, tim, well done! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Foreign Soil

A lot of what I was thinking has already been said, so I’m just going to say... I really enjoyed this, tim. The connections to things we know in this world, and how you worked them so seamlessly into your story was excellently done. And in the end, even though the circumstances weren’t totally in their control, Miller and Darrian got their HEA, so Yay! to that.

    Heartbreak

@Kitt You have every right - and justification - to be proud and crow until the cows come home! This poem is terrific. This is is a beautifully written poem, Wings. So smooth and easy to read and feel the meaning of your words. It’s a sad tale for sure, but your triumph in the end to overcome what came is very well told.
  18. Mike, I find that you are direct and always mean exactly what you say. These words are no different. Thank you for showing us what is in your heart and mind. Being that transparent is brave.
  19. What Mac said...
  20. this Mike, your words tell tim how you feel and so do your actions. They may not register at the time, but they do, nonetheless.
  21. I should have known you were aware of the eye and what it represents. Clever, yet subtle, and comforting, too, to know you keep watch as you do.
  22. Excellent blog, Mac, it’s just unfortunate there was cause for you to need to set the record straight, as it were. I’m sure things of this nature must be very frustrating for real Doms and subs. Going off topic for a moment. I know that you are The Handler, and Mike is The Observer, but the picture you chose for your blog headings tells a bit of a different tale, imo. Did you realize that the third tree from the right has an eye on its trunk? Is it happenstance? Hmm... More like fate, I think since I believe you to be watchful like Mike. Okay, so that’s where my mind went, take my musings as you will.
  23. It is amazing, but then, so are you, tim. I knew you were good at this “little thing” called writing, but wow, no planning and you come up with a clever and in-depth short story. Well done, my friend, well done! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  24. The stage seemed to be set for things not to go Dick’s way, but when it was truly needed, he found the courage of a lion to protect his cub. Best Daddy Ever indeed! ! ! I really liked this, tim. I really did. PS: It was an added bonus knowing the places and locations referenced in the story.
