  1. I always read prologues. Even if they might not be crucial for understanding the story that’s to come, they always add something to it. That’s my opinion, anyway.
  2. A, your question got me curious, so I had a quick peek at Youtube. I typed in documentaries and it brought up a long list of options including the History channel and National Geographic. TV Shows and full length movies can be found on Youtube, so it's logical that documentaries can as well. You just need to search a bit for what you're interested in watching.

    The Story

Funny thing, but I became so engrossed in Finn’s story that I forgot there was another story to be told. No small feat that was making me forget something, tim. Good on you and your amazing talent for weaving great tales. I like too that you included the reference to the prompt that inspired this story. Lastly, sad as I am there will be no further chapters to read, the epilogue wrapped this story nicely, so thank you for including that as well. Who knows, a prompt in the future might inspire a visit to Sanctuary to peek in on Finn and Christian to see what they’re up to. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐‘s

  5. I hope you will pleasantly surprised at what you find after the move, Jay.
  6. What an awesome story, thanks for posting it, Ron.
  7. Missed this somehow, but I’ve seen it now and read your words, tim. They make sense, they really do.

  9. That was a fun one. Thanks tim!
  10. Great interview questions and answers everyone! As for your first anthology, Carlos, I remember that with great fondness, so @Cia thank you for any and all input you imparted to Carlos. @Myr I hadn't even gotten to that last line before that idea began forming in my mind. I remember riding the monorail as an excited eight-year-old. It's so cool you got a front row seat!
  11. Good night tim....you know the rest Edit: I considered it, but I decided to let my comment stand as it is. I meant what I said, and you know what I think of your poetic gems, so I don’t think I need to put it in words.
  12. No worries, molly. You had something of utmost importance on your mind these last few days. PS: Refrigerator oatmeal is delicious and refreshing and a great way to start the day, isn’t it?
  13. I know what you mean about nature in the city, tim. I literally just got back home from being out there - no chipmunks or raccoons today, sadly - and it always has a calming, feel good effect on my psyche.
  14. Cynthia is right, Christian does know. He may not know what it is he knows, but his reaction at the gate said it loud and clear. Probably Cynthia had the same reaction upon her arrival at Sanctuary. This chapter was nice laying of the ground work for what is to come, I think. The pieces are gathering and falling into place nicely. Course, Cynthia's pronouncement about their wedding threw them for a loop - thank goodness the tablecloth is white lol - but again, I think she experienced the same thing, so she knows what she is talking about. Excellent chapter, tim!
  15. CG I did some poking around and found a link to the anthologies - well everything, I think because the list is alphabetical - under the Categories tab on the right hand side of the Story page. There are two links for Spring 2018 (this list is chronological, so Spring 2018 is at the top) because there are two themes. Under each link is an accessible list of the stories for the chosen theme. Hope this helps.
  16. Last night I finally did it! I went to the grocery store and bought large flake oatmeal, a selection of freeze-dried fruit and a small bag of roasted coconut. Since I had six small bowls with lids, I put together six servings of one-half cup of oatmeal and a bit of dried fruit - okay, so the coconut one is kind of snacky, so I'm saving that one for Saturday ), and I only put in enough fruit to give the oatmeal a bit of added flavour. I put a bit of cinnamon in with the dried Fuji apples - they come in slices, so I break them up into smaller bits - but the rest of the fruit I am leaving as is. I did end up putting too much milk in the oatmeal, but it still worked out nicely and was very tasty when I had it for breakfast this morning. Cooked oatmeal - or maybe it's just the over processed stuff - didn't really agree with me - heartburn - so early in the morning so I started avoiding oatmeal altogether. This mix, though? Not a peep from my old nemesis. Very happy about that because not only is this breakfast tasty, filling, easy and quick to put together, but it's nutritious too. A great combination that can't be beat!

  18. CM, thank you for this insightful and interesting interview. As with all your stories, this one had me glued to it anxiously awaiting the next chapter release. Course, it also drove me a little crazy, because I just knew that dear old mom, was anything but dear.
  19. The door being so intricately carved with woodland scenes and salamanders - it would be beautiful to look at, no doubt - makes me think there is something in the study that is important to Sanctuary. It’s almost like a gateway to the “magical” secrets of this place.
  20. Okay, fine. I can wait. Barely....
  21. Interesting.... I think I like it. tim, care to weigh in on this theory?
  22. Off the top of my head: Oatmeal or muesli. Fruit or jello. xo. Oh geez. In these, I see you - the author - in this story, tim. Made me smile. Mom, I wasn’t so sure about because it seemed she was full of airs, but she didn’t really seem like that type of person. Is her expectation of how Nora should behave just more of the historical behaviours/rules of Finn’s forefathers? I have a feeling her not being allowed to remarry is a dictate that was for past generations as well.

    Going Home

Finn getting so flustered around Christian surprised me a bit. It was a good surprise, though because it showed what a good guy he really is - the party he had at his place had me thinking he was a player. I have a feeling that Sam has “insider knowledge type wisdom” regarding Finn’s future. He’s not being a naive romantic when he talks about Finn and Christian marrying. Hmm...what does he know? PS: I like that it was a Jeep that Finn rented for their journey. We know he’s taller than Christian, but just how tall - and broad - is he? Excellent chapter, tim. The story is moving along at a nice pace with just enough plot points and other bits to lead the reader to the next chapter - be that for real or imaginings in one’s mind what is to come next.
