  1. Out of likes, so one for Sim one for Jack one for Roger As for Ryan, I wish I could give him a lump of coal, but will settle for seems worse than a lump of coal...too bad so sad. Not! And for Levon - aka Ryan What a rollercoaster ride that chapter turned out to be. As the review started forming in my head, I thought thank goodness I am sitting down or I would be swooning the was so evident. Then comes the one-two punch to the gut. How could Ryan be such a jerk? Doing what he did to Sim is unconscionable. I am so glad that Sim dumped him - oh yeah Sim was definitely the dumper and Ryan the dumpee. Great chapter Tim even if I wanted to wipe out one of your characters. Here's to a happy ending for Sim.
  2. Darn it! Out of Likes.... Took the long route through the Forum to get here and got distracted by the view I will be back later to take care of unfinished business. For now  Delightful little Prompt. A life lesson to start the day and then this.... You could say the world gave me onions, so I made onion soup. :lmao: Nice!
  3. You've painted a portrait of a heartless and empty soul. Cruel and self absorbed to the core. I think too, there is hubris at work here as well. People like this - it's quite a sad thing that they exist - thrive on being ahead of everyone else. How can something so empty cause so much destruction?
  4. Hey Tim: You've done it once again. Beautiful words overflowing with meaning. I can feel the angst in the beginning but it leads through to happiness and contentedness in by the end I think. It's a journey that has a deservedly good end.
  5. Laugh yes, but "Awww" too. Some very sweet pics included in this bunch. I'm with Lit. The last pic is really sweet.
  6. I'm torn as to what is the best for Nate. Short term, I think he is in the right place because he needs to feel solid ground beneath his feet. The situation in Edmonton is still in tatters even if there is progress regarding the relationship with his dad. His school and his relations with his "friends" are enormous hurdles that, right now, are insurmountable, I think. We are starting to see evidence of his real self - adorable, cheeky, mischievous and playful. He would likely regress if he went home now. Long term, being back with his parents and sisters is probably what is best. They are his original foundation in life and even though he would be happy with his grandparents or uncles, I think he would eventually feel a huge loss not being with parents and sisters. That being said, maybe he needs all of them for who knows how long? A move back to Ontario might be in order...time and Gary's "pen" will tell. As always, great chapter Gary. Thank you.

    Twenty Two

Out of likes Nothing but joy and happiness in those lines. Really sweet Caz.
  8. So I forgave you for picking on poor Harley. Car wreck indeed! Then again, I guess it could be construed as some sort of twisted backhanded compliment? Hmm... That was an excellent heart-to-heart Brett and CJ Engaged in - relieved they resolved blow up so easily - Dragon and King, however are still a very large question mark. Excellent chapter as always Carlos. Thank you.
  9. Hey Tim That was incredibly romantic from start to finish. Sim's inner dialogue was endearing and the added touch to make it perfect As always, nicely done. PS: I'm glad I was wrong about Ryan. He is definitely a stand up guy.
  10. I really like Sim. He comes across as sweet and playful. He also comes across like a little boy in a candy store. He sees something he likes than something shinier catches his eye. I just hope he doesn't doesn't end up with a "tummy ache" because of the "candy" he chose. Admittedly, he did tell the bartender he was wasn't available, so maybe he was referring to being occupied by Daniel, even if he hadn't spoken to him yet? Daniel's behaviour isn't endearing him to me though...at first glance it's sexy, but with further scrutiny, I see him as a bit of a bully. Hope I'm wrong... Nicely done Tim. Lots of amusing bits here and there really engage the reader.

    First Monday

Phew.....!! Just a dream. G's right hand angel () wins the bureaucrat of the year award. has a point, tho. Very well done Carlos. Crisp, clean and directly to the point sans superfluous words.
  12. I have a feeling that Michael is a humble and matter-of-fact man. His capacity for loving on the other hand, is without end. One for you and one for Michael.
  13. Happy tears, nothing but happy tears! Thank you craftingmom for such a wonderful wrap up of Wyatt and Bryan's story. Everything turned out as it should. Out of likes           (With all these hearts, I'm channelling Eddie, I think )
  14. Jesse, Aitor and Lars - nice peek into their lives to see how they are doing. I must admit, I didn't catch on until I read Lars' name (Aitor had me pondering but, in my defence, it was very very early in the morning when I first read AR. Damn birds! Or maybe, I should be thanking them? You didn't hear it (thank goodness), but I might have squealed just a little bit when I realized who I was reading about. Nice treat. Thanks Carlos.
  15. I'm sure there are people in this world who live their lives as ""Dorian Gray" to the extreme. They think only of themselves and to hell with everyone else. They don't seek forgiveness or redemption, their only goal is to cover up their "crimes". So when it is their time, well we know where they are likely to be going... Then there are those "Dorian Gray's" who break free and take a good look in the mirror - love the change from portrait to mirror btw, it actually makes a lot of sense. Changing your ways and conquering bad habits is something to be recognized and applauded. Not everyone will value that change, but some will and their opinion is the only one that counts. Okay, bit of a ramble in my review, but I couldn't help it Tim, your words are just amazing and really make me think. Hopefully, I'm not to far off the mark on this one.
  16. Come on Drew, you have to show us after all that build up.... Well done btw and out of likes
  17. CG is quite right, hard to top Tim's review. I will just parrot them in my thoughts. As always, beautifully done Gary.

    Always

Hey Tim That is quite a powerful poem. It says a lot and yet it doesn't answer what we really want to know. But do we want to know? Somewhere inside, the brain is saying yes. I hope it's right. I'm going root for it being right.
  19. I really liked this one Carlos. A bit "quieter" than what I've come to expect from you - didn't know you had such a sweet side. I really enjoyed this one and it is nice to see such longevity in relationships in this day and age. With regard to my original comment, you should do more of this - you do it well.

    Chapter 23

Thank you for writing this chapter CM. It was a wonderful little peek into the world of recovery of Wyatt, Bryan and Eddie I love that Eddie went into Mama Bear (inherent in his being along with some input from Bryan and Papa) mode and carted Wyatt over to the sofa where he felt he would "feel better". So so sweet. As for ganging up on Bryan. I expect that was only the beginning... I think too, that this is a nice bridge between all the terrible goings on and the happy future they will no doubt have. Thanks again CM.

    True Love

Out of likes, so for now  To love someone so much that the feelings become physical is truly very special. What a wonderful "ache" to have. Love the meaning behind your words Tim.

    Chapter 22

It's great to see Wyatt awake and improving with seemingly few issues from his time in captivity. Loved his concern for Eddie as it really just shows what an inherently good person he is - Bryan is a lucky man. I think WriterJT has it right that there should be a scene between Eddie and Wyatt just to clear things up and reinforce the bond they will have because we all know they are going to be close. If my memory serves me correctly, it was mentioned in an earlier chapter that Bryan is not too fond of one of Wyatt's favourite pastimes - hiking. Later in the story, I remember a reference to Eddie's love of hiking - sounds like Wyatt has found the perfect person to take hiking, don't you think? Looking forward to what happens next. Great chapter CM. Thank you.
  23. This was a great chapter for tying up a lot of loose ends and starting some new ones. Safe to say that everyone had an interesting and eventful weekend - even Cesar and Brett even if they were feeling like an old married couple missing their kid. It was unexpected to see they have such a sedate weekend, but it was nice in a way as well. It was clear they missed CJ, but that just served to reinforce the love they had as a family and being together. Not surprising there was backlash for CJ's behaviour. Being able to talk about anything with his dads is great, but that should never negate consequences for inappropriate or potentially dangerous behaviour. This is the first big blow up they've had as a family, so I think all three of them will learn from it so the next time something happens, it can be managed better for all concerned. As for the rest of the group, looks like their stories are still in play too. Looking forward to next Wednesday to find out what happens Next. Nicely done Carlos.
  24. That was a really emotionally charged chapter. Luckily for Nate, he has amazing back up that will never ever let him fall. Even though Michael had invited Nate to sit with him and Kendall on the sofa, I thought it was very telling how quickly he ended up between them when his dad called for the second time. The way I see it, they (and Colleen and Big Mike) are living, breathing "security blankets" for Nate something he really needs right now. Loved reading the normality of "I know something you don't know". It was a nice realistic touch to show that Nate is feeling better about his situation and the kid in him is on his way back to being ok. As always, great chapter Gary. Thank you.
