  1. Hi Page! Both of us are doing well. We went out Friday, but the rest of the weekend was spent quietly going to lunch and coffee. In the evenings spending time at home. The pollution is low even though the rainy season hasn't hit yet. It's expected to start later this week. The temps are hovering around 40 C during the day. My aircon bill will be outrageous this month. With rains coming this week the temp should drop to the low 30 C. How are you, Morgan and Max?
  2. Sorry to say Spike I can only veto a tax on the Asian portion of your herd. That won't keep Drew from trying to bankrupt your herd, but will at least mitigate the damage. 😜 Hope everything is going good for you.
  3. Alas it's true. I have never knowingly tasted quince used in cooking. Since I do love marmalades, I probably have had eaten something cooked using marmalades with quince. The dish you described made my mouth water!

    Chapter 15

Caden's lack of knowledge, understanding and empathy has once again created a desperate situation when he rattled off his mouth without filter. He has left Ludwig without hope for redemption. For someone born 1000 years ago, that is a devastating concept and one that could easily lead Ludwig to "face the light" in order to end his loss of hope. Caden needed a better thought out explanation of the ideas today and explain that first before totally destroying what Ludwig's ideas and hopes.
  5. Hi @James Carnarvon, Sorry that I didn't see and respond to this sooner. Thanks for reading these and commenting on them, James! This form, Tonka, predate Haiku poems which derived from them. It shares much in common with Haiku poems. I love both Tonka and Haiku poems because of how they capture nature. As for Som (Orange), she was named by my boyfriend, Aod. I don't know why other than to suspect she was named after his favorite fruit. I am glad that you caught what I wanted to convey by "stay hidden, except from me". I wanted to observe their cycle of life while they remained hidden and safe.
  6. 🤔 I don't think you've been deprived of a great experience of eating the fruit itself. I definitely dislike the fruit which is sour, and the texture was squishy. I like my fruits to be crispy or juicy like citrus, but quince is neither. As for preserves and mixed with other ingredients, it does have some good uses in cooking.

    Chapter 3

Seth doesn't have a lot of confidence in himself and doesn't think he can resist Craig's advances. Seth has all the evidence that Craig is a predatory ass, and will cause Seth a great deal of trouble. I think Seth needs to rethink what he needs to do. Running away from Craig does not solve Seth's problem, just avoids the inevitable crash.
  8. Hey Doha! Although I agree to your ideas, we all know the people waiting in the wings for Rusty and Matty to go their separate ways.
  9. There are a lot of theories about August, but knowing Laura's imagination they may all be wrong. Not that I wouldn't like to see some of them happening, There is so little known about August, other than she was a sexual predator, that predicting how she will behave is something I can't speculate on now. I did like how Matty took on John and now has John questioning his indoctrination by Connor. I wish that there were a million Matty's fighting charismatic evangelical BS when I was growing up. They could have exposed the hypocrisy and lies of those how hate in the name of their god while hiding their own sins. To me, Connor and his following are a parody or satire of these people.

    Chapter 90 Things

Things often lose value as they age, but life and memories always hold or increase their value. I loved this poem and had to take a walk around my home afterwards. I also loved the Haiku poems. I had a laugh when I read the first one. It's kind of how I felt yesterday, except it was not cold and dark. The bluejay reminded me of visits from the bird and it's reaction to the presence of my cats each visit. I think I know the inspiration for the last Haiku, and hope the kittens are doing well.
  11. Hi Drew! Sorry to hear you care little for your teachers. You math teacher was very disappointed to hear that. However, teachers do care about their students long after the students have forgotten the teachers. Therefore, your teachers have appointed me and given me the title of.... Fairy God Teacher! And asked me to make sure to watch over you and make sure you behave. 😄

    Chapter 10

Beckett has to pick one of the dragons, but it didn't sound like he picked one. By the use of touch and the different reactions of the two large dragons, it sounded more like it was a bond they shared that would make them more successful. Beckett still didn't get an answer to his question about where they are going. It seems the beasts are all a bit too literal and brief in their answers. Maybe Becket need to ask a more open ended question.
  13. This is a great interview. I enjoy Laura's great sense of humor in all the stories I have read. It is great she is here on GA!
  14. Keep up the great effort! Do it one day at a time.
  15. The distinction between you and Spike is that he does agitate you. You however go well beyond agitating Spike into threatening the well being of lives or even their existence. If you can't tell the difference between agitating statement and a threat to life, then I think that maybe your insanity is much worse than anyone here realizes. Since you claim to be sane and rational, I think you need to learn the difference between a threat to life or well being, and just something said to agitate you.
  16. May I add bedspreads, chairs, sofas, dirty laundry and carpets to the list Libby? 😄
  17. Those are two I especially enjoyed writing. BTW, I want to thank you for challenging me to start writing way back when we worked together with the theme committee. ❤️
  18. Thanks Val. I picked Haiku because it seemed to be a good starting place to learn and practice poetry. I am glad you enjoyed these.
  19. OOHHH! That's cruel and inhumane! However, it wouldn't be against the intent of an agreement in my opinion, as long as you take proper care of his herd while you do it. Albert on the other hand will probably send in his latest stealth jets zeroed in on you.
  20. I do congratulate you on a job well done.

    Chapter 14

By the sound of their conversation, we're in for an interesting tale revealing a lot about Ludwig. I'm looking forward to hearing about how he became a vampire, and also why he feels shame about his attraction to Caden.
  22. Will you two quit agitating your herds! All this arguing is really upsetting them. I'm getting calls and messages from all of them and some not even from Asia, asking for asylum. Keep this up and they'll probably form their own Freedom Train heading north or northeast to Michigan, Ontario or North Carolina.
  23. And before you suggest it, Guantanamo is not a resort.
  24. Drew, Drew, Drew. You really should learn more about history. Gulag is not a Russian word for a fancy resort. Now if you send them to a luxury resort in Mexico or the Caribbean that would be very nice...and would insure you keep your herd intact. In fact, maybe you should add a yearly trip for a month for each member to a different and expensive resort/spa as a health benefit! I think you are wealthy enough to pay the bill for both Spike's and your guys. That would definitely show good will between you two. 😄
  25. Your lacky Tucker made another intentional mistake. Thought I'd fix it for you since you don't like the Drewth, Drew.😇
