Hi James! I was working on a family matter to help Aod's niece find a job and relocate to CNX. I'm back to normal now. I did have my reading lined up, but clicked the wrong tab and read this chapter, then realized what I did wrong. I went back and caught up on all the chapters I did miss. I still have the latest to read, but need to get ready for dinner out with friends tonight. I'll get the next in line tomorrow.

I also thought it was Valrinda reassuring Beckett, although it is the last sentence of the conversation and is not attributed to either one. Let's hope @drpaladin's reference to Glinda doesn't foreshadow a poppy field along the black road. The one thing I did like about Valrinda is that he wants to work with and share his ideas with Beckett.

Loved the prompts, and here's my response. It's a bit rough with the 8/6 pattern and no intentional rhyming, but I do plan to work on it. #135 - An opinionated talking animal gives you a lecture on all the ways you need to improve yourself. You are lazy.” she growled. “You ignore me! You have some nerve! I tell you I want go out. A running jump, I hit the screen, to get your notice,” she howled! “Then you jump up from your soft chair, that you won’t share with me, and have the gall to glare at me! Does lightning scare you too?” “When I awake and feel the need to feed my empty gut, I gently tap you ears or butt with claws slightly stretched out. “You duck under your warm duvet. My loud yowling demands, take minutes to wake your dull mind so you can feed my belly.” “I don’t want to be held at all, when you want to hold me. I like to be scratched on my chin, not stroked on my long tail!” “After years as my attendant, you still are clueless of my many wants and wishes,” she sadly caterwauled. “You whine when you vacuum my hair from sofa, bed and chairs. Again when cleaning my cat box. Get real! You knew my price!” “You are best when you are asleep your arm pillows my head, or nesting in your tangled legs.” She softly purrs to sleep.

Here's another head popping up to let you know how much I liked Morningstar, @Dan South! Of course, I could mention that I love all of Gary's stories, shorts and poems, too. If you liked Chet Little in this story, you should read Song and Dance.

@drsawzall was on the mark. When I saw this, I thought it really explained exactly how Dani and Giaco are reacting throughout the chapter as well as the story so far. Dani and Giaco both want and fear each other. Both can't trust their own feelings let alone the feelings of the other boy. Damned by the chapter brought back all the awkward and painful emotions I experience during puberty. @James Carnarvon you sure know how to evoke emotions with your words.

I love how Marco has been able to turn his life around with the help of Dani, Angelo and Gianni. He is not only much happier, but also much more confident and secure. Dani has grown from the childhood crush and realizes he loves Giaco. Giaco wants Dani now and is willing to take risks to show Dani that he wants Dani. Great chapter!

While Dani was wanting more, Giaco seemed to run away. Now it appears the opposite is true. I can understand Dani's fear, but he needs to stop running if he wants his dream to come true. It is apparent to Luca and Emilia that Giaco and Dani want to be a couple. The new problem involving Luca's brother, Enzo and Assunta is very dangerous. Luca is in a very difficult situation. Good cliffhanger! I also enjoyed to comments like the one @drpaladin made about Cosmo Topper. It was also a TV series in the early 50's with Leo G. Carroll. The sketches of Marco and Dani were interesting and well done. Excellent chapter!

Hey Man! I haven't seen this for a long time. The alien was created 25 years ago by Victor Navone and is named Blit Whizbok. According to the creater, Blit is male and occassionally does drag. Navone got a job with Disney as an animator and worked on Toy Story and other films. He also has some other characters and clips also.

Hi Page! I'm doing well. Aod's niece is now settled and on her own for the first time in her life. Everything went well and as of yesterday we have the apartment to ourselves. I won't be long, because Aod wants to go to lunch to celebrate having her on her own, and getting our house back to normal. I've also spent a few hours trying to catch up on the books I am reading here. Still a few to go, and some new ones I want to start. The biggest problem I have is to get new tires for my car. I can't believe how much the price has gone up in the last decade. The other thing I need to do is get back to writing. I put that off for the last 2 weeks. A bit of writer's block, but also laziness. Hope you and your guys are doing well!

We all have been missing you. Know that my thoughts are with you and hope all turns out well for you. When you do return, it will be to the open arms of your friends and readers. Take care of yourself.

Devin is a great prankster, and used his talents to get what the boy's needed. Although I don't like either Brent or Chris, Devin's deceit used to break up their friendship did not feel like an honorable act on Devin's part. I certainly think less of Devin as a result. In the past he used his abilities to protect others. This time it seemed more like he was out to get his own way and a little revenge to boot. Well written chapter, and the Bigfoot prank was funny.

WolfM has written another great novel in Running With The Pack series. Trevor is one smart wolf going to get his MBA at Harvard. He is also a well loved beta to the Parker Valley Pack. On summer vacation, his friend and Alpha ask him to go check on the Pit River Pack where Aiden and Ethan are also Alphas of that pack. Thus begins a great story filled with fun, adventure and danger as Trevor continues his higher education by working in the pack, as well as learning about himself. There are many changes in store for Trevor that are totally unexpected, but enjoyable. This is a thrilling story that will have you wishing and hoping you were there with Trevor and his friends. I highly recommend this story.

I loved this story and hope there is another one coming soon to continue what's happening at Burney and Trevor's group including Seth. Great finish leaving me wanting so much more!

Hi All! Just checking in to let you all know I am alive and well. Aod's niece is still with us for two more days. She has a job and starts training tomorrow. We'll be taking her to the training, then going to a restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant serves western food, and makes several different cheeses in the dairy next to the restaurant. After her training, we'll pick her up. We'll take her to her apartment to check in and move her things the next morning before she starts her new job. The weather here looks a lot like the pictures Albert sent. That's normal weather for the next four months here. Nice thing about it is the air is back to normal and the daily temperatures have dropped 4 C during the days and nights. Also, it is not the continual rain day and night. Usually a downpour late afternoon, and another sometime during the night. The rest of the time is sunny with clouds. Aod and I went out with friends to a great restaurant with Thai and western food Wednesday night, and drinking with friends Friday night. That's about it. I'll check in again tomorrow.

Hi All! Sorry I haven't been around much this week. I'll probably check in a couple of times next week also. I've been a bit busy. Aod's parents called last week and asked him if they could send May, Aod's niece, to say with us for a week. She's just out of high school and is looking for a job. She got here Monday and Aod and I have been taking her around job hunting. She go a job on Wednesday at a 7-11. We then had to help her find an apartment close enough to work so she can walk to work. That's done, and next week we will help her get set up in the apartment. Whether buying or renting in Thailand, furniture comes with the apartment. What we will need to do is get groceries and some cooking appliances, pots, pans and utensils as well as stock the refrigerator some. I haven't had time to read here, so I am hoping all is good with you all. ❤️
