Valrinda is a much better being than the others Beckett has been dealing with. I think it is because of the emotional bond between the two. Valrinda also has given him more information that Parallax did. Valrinda does seem to have some background information after touching Beckett. If Beckett asks the right questions, I wonder if Valrinda might have more information that could lead to clues for Beckett to follow up.

I agree that Enzo and the old witch's appearance was not coincidental, especially after the cryptic warning by Enzo. Luca's introduction to their private hideaway went well. The shopping trip did also. I wondered why Marco got so upset by Dani's suggestion for clothes. I'm not buying Marco's comment about Dani trying to turn Marco into a Giaco clone. It was only one shirt after all. Dani's thoughts on who he would turn to, Giaco or Marco, was surprising.

The devious little plot did work to get the boys together in the same dorm room, as well as entertain the rest of us. The dorm does seem to have a mixed group of students that were boisterous the weekend before the beginning of classes. I do think it will calm down. Usually when classes start the upperclass students will be the ones to lead the way. They usually don't want to was two or three years of work. They also tend to put pressure on the younger students to calm the kids excess energy. Looking forward to the beginning classes. Since they are basic classes, our guys should do much better than the average scatterbrained freshmen.

He definitely sounds like he is a great kid that stands up for his faith and the safety of others. Kind of reminds me of a college crush I had who was Jewish, a curly redhead and became a professional ballet dancer in Alberta and Winnipeg.

If I add "diabolical" to the description, do you think you could another chapter or four to the story? I've had a great time reading this story as well as the rest of the series. I do hope the series continues. I am looking forward to further adventures of these three in particular. I also want more of Seth, Thad and Wade. Since there was a big build up in this story about Randy being turned, I do hope that happens as well as the emergence celebration before the end. Great chapter and I liked the level of sex, as well as the obsidian pendants as a sign of the love shared by these three.

Dani and Giaco are much the same, but their hormones are probably more active. Giaco wants what he had before, but that's not going to happen. Claudia's comment was spot on when she told Giaco to not break Dani's heart. Dani is still very much in love with Giaco and Giaco knows this. Giaco seems to be between encouraging Dani and holding Dani at a distance. It is obvious that all their friends know and understand what is happening. Marco at least knows that Dani will not be his as long as there is a chance Giaco will decide to choose to love Dani like Dani loves Giaco. At least now Marco has parents that love and understand him. He is also changing for the better. I hope he can find someone for his own if Dani and Giaco finally become a couple. Great start James! I love the beginning of this story!

I agree with @pvtguy that it is great to be back in Ravello again with Dani and Giaco. @drpaladin enigmatic comment sounds more like a prophecy. The kiss was definitely a core memory for Dani. Nicely set up James.

As @scrubber6620 said, Caden's power of persuasion had led to Ludwig changing his mind, and he now wants to have sex with Caden. That's a big change. The sex went very well for both. @centexhairysub commented things are very complicated. The plane was a surprise and to be honest, I am not sure it is a rescue plane. Rescue planes usually don't search at night over open oceans. It is more commonly done by helicopters specially equipped and with greater range of vision. A plane flying like this might be it trouble. It is a complicated situation.
