I felt many different emotions as I read this lament. Frustration with mess created corrupt leaders, sadness for the loss of warrior heroes who die in battle, and fear of where this might all lead. The hardest part to accept is the threat to the future of our children, families and friends. Right now, my biggest fear is the saber rattling suggesting and armageddon. You created a vivid image in these words.

Things have gone sour from bad to worse. The only good part is Deke realizing that Colby didn't lead him astray. Colby simply made Deke realize his own attraction to boys. I can imagine the fear Deke felt as his father rode in and saw what happened. There's going to be a lot more trouble before this ends.

Hi Drew! Your advice to wait for the rainy season isn't very helpful. Right now the PMI 2.5 is 375 to 500 in the city. The highest level on the scale starts at 300. I really wish it would rain. 😭

Definitely a young grizzle. I've been to Yellowstone and had black bears come close to my car, but adult grizzle bears stay far away from the roads. I love this video Albert. It brought back good memories of the last time I saw my younger brother before he died. We took a road trip together to Yellowstone and experiences something like this with black bears.

Bad Company is a very short western tale set in the desert of a post atomic armageddon world. Comp and Fletch reunite once again briefly. Good story in a small package.

With Brad's injuries it was good to know that there are many people who will support him as he recovers. Gamon was fun and I love the fact that his uncles CJ and Owen took care of him when Ben was born. They need the practice considering the own plans. I'm sure they will also get more practice in baby care with three newbies joining the Squad.

I'm having fun reading this story. It is far enough along I decided to recommend it. I love that you don't adhere to a trope that features common rules of shifters.

Vary all you want! I love checking off the World Building and Unique buttons when recommending a story. It's one of the reasons I love your stories. They are always unique in many ways.

Hi Myr, On my personal profile page under Your Achievements bar are my Scribe level, Badges, and Reputation. Reputation is where you will find other scribe rating. To see that rating, you scroll over the number in that button (mine is 38.3k) a popup shows a different rating. You can also click the Reputation button and look at the green box in the top left corner which also shows that information. My achievement level is Mythic Scribe, but the level under reputation lists me as a Master Scribe, 2nd class. BTW, since it is public info I checked other members' profiles and found the same differences.

Devin and his father's secret is finally revealed to Mac. I was pleased that Mac accepted the secret and reaffirmed his love for Devin. The history lesson was very well told. I liked you used the skin-walker instead of the more common were- or shifter trope. My first intro to skin-walker was reading Hillerman's The Shape Shifter. I enjoyed the easy dialogue that fills in the past and moves the story forward.

Aiden was impressed by Trevor's leadership within minutes of his arrival and voiced his approval. To me it opens the possibility of Trevor taking over the pack as an alpha once he finishes his degree. That would facilitate Trevor, Randy and Skyler working together and maybe forming a thruple relationship. The Mckinney family and any cohorts? Dead meat! After Thad gets well there are going to be a lot of people now who will be even more motivated to bring the family down. Excellent chapter, even if Thad is still in surgery. I think this warrants and emergency posting of the next chapter.

I'm not sure what the metrics are either. It seems I have two different levels of scribes depending on where I look on my profile. I understand this one, but the other seems to have a different metric.

No doubt about CJ. He was pushy when others told him to calm down. He's a leader who will always demand to do what's right. With the support of the Squad and the Elite, Brad will not only survive, but go on the do great things. He is strong and had proved that with all he has overcome. He will be stronger with all the support and love given him by those who love him. Another great chapter Carlos.

Damned but this hit too close to home. Mom lost both her legs. My brother and I were there for her, and visited her for many months of recovery and physical therapy. It was painful and rough for her, but she was able to recover and deal with the everything. She kept her great sense of humor and adapted to her new reality. I hope Brad does the same. CJ did the right thing for Brad and Tom. It was a very emotional chapter for me to read.

Careful is a good idea. Even though the kid has been under treatment longer than 24 hours and is probably safe, it still teaches your students that caution is the best policy. My main concern is that the other kids won't shun this student.
