Zoel is such a stupid wolf! He really set Cain off and got humiliated in public. Further, it was apparent that Cain did not know about the bag or even why Zoel thinks it will ruin the club or the pack. Zoel has now made Cain very suspicious of Zoel. Of course that means exactly what Rafe's group knows. Zoel will try even harder on them in the future. Mr. Emais' is creepy and his comment sounds a lot like a vampire. I would have thought that if Mr. Emais was a vampire, the guys would already know by now. Looking forward to day two of the competition. I wonder if we know any of the other first years who made the cut.

Aaron has said it best! I would only add that Bernie makes sure that Matthias learns better manners. Matthias is such a drama queen throwing his tantrums at everyone. Also, I hope Charlie somehow makes sure the gift is properly disposed before it causes any harm to the bears and Bernie.

I always wondered why Canadians always say 'eh' when they end a sentence.

There has been a special feel to Bernie's and Bill's relationship for a long time. I am glad that they have been able to define it and now act upon it. Karhu is much older than Bernie, and Bernie will need a best friend to be there if something happens to Karhu. These two being best friends just make a lot of sense to me. Kintu, the emperor, as well as his vassal kings are basically a bunch of arrogant, privileged jerks. Their social order is even more flawed that the wolf hierarchy. It places the rest of the African lycans at the very bottom of the social order in Africa. I am sure this extends to other lions as well. The only vassal king with any intelligence isTau. He is cautious and believes that they should try to check with Amun Ra, but is ignored by the rest. I do like the symbolism of his name. At least now we know that there is going to be a big problem at Bernie's big party. How the lions of Africa can do something covert like that is a mystery to me, but I'm sure Grumpy will have a very ingenious plan for them. Hopefully, the plan will fail no matter how brilliant. Maybe Curtis will be able to subvert the lions and get some leniency for his spying.

A very enjoyable and entertaining chapter as usual. I love all the humor and great lines! Karhu has some especially fun lines that had me ROFL. Poor Supreme Alpha Taylor with his troublesome bears. I am glad that he, Gunnar and Taylor were able to work out a party...er...acceptable compromise for Bernie's transformation. I trust Bill and don't think there will be a problem when it happens, that is if there is no interference from Curtis' employers. I do feel kind of sad for Curtis and hope that he makes it out of all this without too many problems. I don't like spies, but in his case it is the result of the social structure and biases of the wolf shifters' own deeply flawed system of hierarchy. Through no fault of his own, Curtis is placed by the system and biases at the lowest rung of a bad caste system because of his size and parents place in the society. He has few options in life. To me it should be the wolf shifter society that is put on trial for the way Curtis has been treated. Supreme Alpha Taylor and the council are all to blame if Curtis' spying hurts the shifters.

In Love With A Time Traveler
raven1 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in In Love With A Time Traveler
A very interesting and enjoyable chapter. First the lovely and romantic love scene between Jonathan and Maddox. Then the full disclosure that has long been awaited. Maddox is definitely in the mood to make sure that Jonathan will remain with him no matter what. I was glad the letter left it up to Maddox about what to do next and provided the address. Arriving home to be greeted by at least one friendly and loving person, Simmons was excellent and shows how Jonathan has changed during his absence. Drew's presence simply solidified my own feelings that he has been the villain behind the plot to force Drew to return home. Drew is so much like Connor. They both are users and manipulators. Both want to leech on Jonathan's wealth and prestige. IMO Drew was the one who sent the message and film. He knew it would force Jonathan home where Drew could try to manipulate Jonathan's parents and Jonathan into an "acceptable" relationship with Drew. Not going to happen. Jonathan stood up to Drew, and I wouldn't be surprised if Jonathan at some point is the one to break Drew's nose in a fight. Jonathan will have a lot of pent up anger to release, and I am hoping that Drew will be on the receiving end of all that anger. I have no idea what to expect from Jonathan's parents. I am sure Drew has been charming and manipulative to try to get them on his side. If they are as arrogant and foolish as they have been portrayed, then there will be some interesting family conversations to boot. Another well written chapter filled with hints of things to come. I await the assault on the castle by the forces of light from Sunny Hill. -
Great chapter and the ideas in the comments were intriguing and imaginative. I appreciated the skip to Christmas at Maddox's home. It would appear that mom and dad have had time to adjust to Maddox's new gender preference, and are willing to look at Jonathan with more objective eyes. The whole family is now making an effort to make things work for Jonathan and Maddox. As for the video, it's out there. It will follow Jonathan all his life no matter where he goes. He needs to just do what Hannah said she does. Accept and go on without worrying what others think. Jonathan's dad as a villain? Laura painted him as such from the beginning. Jonathan should stand up to his father and let his father decide if he want to lose Jonathan completely or change his attitude and beliefs. Drew is basically now just a cowardly jerk. No more or less no matter what he has done. Connor? He's still and asshole user not worth a second thought. The Xpress? That should be turned into electronic dust. Whoever is behind it and the person behind the threats to Jonathan should be revealed and left to the court of social media to decide their fate. Great chapter Laura!

Chapter 29: Mountain March
raven1 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 29: Mountain March
You write it and I'll recommend it after the prologue or chapter one! It will be awesome! I don't suppose that one of the 7 gods could make it easy for the gay couples to contribute to the team, is there? That and I would support Lowe and his mate to be the ones to organize the team. That kid is so much fun! -
Hi Drew, Wish your mom a Happy Birthday from me. (I envy you. I wish I got to eat tamales for my birthday, or any day!) Been missing you and all your bombs! Hope you have been doing OK while I was absent.

Hey Gary It sure sounds like a lot of hard work to me. I hope you feel much better after you rest. I am looking forward to the anthology this year.

Hi Page, I have missed you also. I hope I didn't miss any funny Max stories. How are you and your boys doing?

Interesting chapter! Not sure what you have in mind, but I would bet that Rusty and Ray having something to do with how it all will be resolved. -
Thanks Albert! Sometimes in-laws can be great. Aod's parents definitely are good people.

Chapter 30: Tricky Tussle
raven1 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 30: Tricky Tussle
Wow! What a great chapter. The duel between Yakob and Cyrus was exciting. I didn't know who to root for, or who would win! Elaine's training after a very tiring day for Vincent seemed like it would stretch Vinnie to his limits, and it did. It was also a great match, but the most important part happened after as Elaine gave Vincent advice. I hadn't realized that he was becoming dependent on the beads, so her advice on not using them as a crutch was awesome. Her further instructions helped him understand the importance of building his own strength and only using the beads as an emergency fallback. I was impressed that he not only understood, but was able to learn how to better control his use of magic. Of course the sex between Dirk and Ingles was very well written and had a great build up to the final explosion. Had to laugh at the new size queen comment.- 40 comments

I am well and happy. The trip was very good and pleasant except for traveling 700 km each way. That was a long trip for one day each way. Aod's parents came back with us and stayed the week. That was very fun. He has great parents and his dad is a nonstop talker curious about everything. We did a temple tour, lots of restaurants and coffee shops while they were here. Two different friends treated us all to a lunch and dinner. We also explored some fun small restaurants that served excellent Thai dishes. Aod's mom is a picky eater and likes only Thai foods. However, we were at a French restaurant that also serves Thai food. She surprised us all by ordering Croque Madame, then told everyone how delicious it was. Aod's 17 year old niece also ordered lunch there. She gave us all a laugh when her lunch was delivered to the table. She had ordered two different ice cream desserts! Kids! We also went to a mala restaurant for dinner one night. Mala is a kind of chilli pepper. You pick out fresh veggies, meats and seafoods and give them to the cook to grill. They are then skewered and grilled with the mala sprinkled on the top (dry), or skewered and grilled, then placed in a bowl and a mala spiced soup is poured over them in a bowl (wet). We had the wet version and it was spicy hot but oh so good! We were kept busy, and it was sad to send them home. They did have a good time, so I am sure they will be back again. That's how I spent the last two weeks. Glad to be back online now. I have miss all of you! ❤️

Hi Albert! I am doing well. The eyes are great and the doctor is very pleased at how the healing is progressing. I have my next follow up check up the end of September. Everything else is also doing well. I have been missing you guys and am happy to be back. ❤️

Hi Bucket and Albert! Loved the penguins tapping Bucket. I am back and trying to catch up with 2+ weeks of absence. Daunting, but limiting my comments helps the process. I have only made it thru 3 of the authors I follow today. Wish me luck!

It is good to know that her passage was peaceful. I hope you and your family will be able to comfort each other in the days to come.

Great chapter! I like the idea of Tyler going from fearing to be eaten, to being all eyes on the guys. I hope that your mom and family will have a peaceful resolution to the situation you all face. Having gone thru this with my mother, I know that having family around to support each other is a comfort no matter the outcome. Best wishes for all.

One day there were over 400 notifications. I checked on my phone when we traveled thru a coverage area. I was blown away. 😜

Chapter 29: Mountain March
raven1 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 29: Mountain March
Considering the last comment by @astone2292, I am looking forward to a bunch of babies. They could grow up together and make their own bonded (as bros and sisters) to form a formidable team to carry on the fight over evils in their world. I like the fact that Cy and Kaplan are visiting Yakob and the monastery. I believe that giving encouragement to them is a great idea and will help in the future to make it easier to audit and investigate. Maybe Vinnie can continue his career without as much time away from Owensville and Mason. I also liked that Vinnie will be able to advance both his career and skills as a shadow mage with the help of EC and the shadow mages that work there. A very interesting chapter with a lot of things happening with everyone. I do hope that Gregoro will find that the strengthening of Vince's skills as well as personal connections with others in his group will be more than Gregoro can handle. -
Chapter 28: Remarkable Reception
raven1 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 28: Remarkable Reception
Yep! I knew that the reception's food would get me. I had to laugh at the friendly competition to determine who got the cake smashed into their face. It was nice to read the well written conversations had by Mason on the farm, then Vinnie and Jake's exchange of advice. A very pleasing chapter to read. Now I am back in civilization @astone2292 and not roaming in the wilderness without wifi, can you please give me some action updates? -
