Hallsworth makes any PE class I ever had look like a stroll thru Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. The guys all know it's a good idea to go out for Combat, however Hollsworth's response to Dre's waterboy/cheerleader suggestion is weird. Does her amused smirk mean she knows something about Dre's powers or about how the waterboy position might be different than Dre envisions? I like the term 'inbreed trio' for Zoel and his goons. I hope Rafe knocks a little sense into their one celled brains. Great dialogue written for all the characters in this chapter. I also liked the little insight to Rafe and Dre's early experiences from the beginning of the friendship.

What a violent and yet beautiful end to this chapter. Shivay, Siku and Nameer are now free to live their lives. Charlie's sacrifice ensured the future for Siku and Shivay and lovingly and loyally she gave up her reward for a life with Siku and Shivay. I am sure they will all end up eventually in Valhalla together. Nameer's family is finally free from their mother's tyranny and the horrible and ancient traditions that held them all prisoners in a changed world. Beautiful chapter, beautifully written. -
With a habanero whiskey glaze? That would work for me. A nice iced latte, no sugar with the cheesecake and I would be in heaven. 😇

I am embarrassed to say my old mind can't remember. I know I posted a reaction to it today. However, I am reading about 8 books now, some posting today and some archived. These are the authors that are currently posting: kbois, astone, mawgrim, grumpy bear, James Savik, Westley D, Cia, Geron Kees, Comicality and lomax. I have also been reading a few archived stories by Cia and Mrsgnomie. Today has been spent on the currently kbois, astone and Cia stories. The only thing I know for sure is I did post a reaction to your comment, and I think it was one a current story rather than an archived story. 😊
