  1. We have had a great weekend and enjoyed a lunch with friends yesterday, the went out for drinks last night with a different group of friends. I hope the lunch with your grandma is as nice as you described. Aod and I don't get to the beach very often, since the nearest one is about 800 km away. At least it is cooler in the mountains. Today it only got to 32 C. and will cool tonight to 24 C.
  2. If you want to get rid of evil dragon riders, contact @Mawgrim. Many of her readers were very pleased with her Volcanic Villain Incineration Service. As best I can tell it is a combination of ex- from English meaning 'without" and redix from Latin meaning 'root'. (Had to get my nerd out for some exercise.)
  3. Hi Clo! Any updates on the Bday for your brother? Hope it is another nice day with great weather.
  4. Hi Bucket! How are you mate? 🤠 How's the weather there? Does the cold keep those murder animals in control or drive them indoors?

    Underway

So we have some new players on board in the story. The first is Kielor of the Universal Church. He's a hypocrite and a murderer. He is a prime suspect for the evil within. The fact that the church has already been established as a power hungry entity within the society and a social fundamentalist out to destroy diversity is chilling. The next is the Enemy Intelligence Work Group. I'm not worried about these guys. After all, Rattler is one of the members. I am hoping the can find some of the fatal flaws in the enemy with Daniel's help. I hope the enhanced humans can find an ally in the Saratoga's doctor. I imagine the information Danny has found about the fellow enhanced humans in the fleet will be very important. Hopefully the doctor can help sort things out. Tom and Danny are contributing more ideas that will effectively take the enemy out of the equation when the battle comes. The Bishop has a force of Janissaries. From the brief description, they have much in common with the famous Ottoman Janissaries, and the Bishop treats them in very similar manner. They will be a very dangerous force if they are the same. There is a hell of a lot of information and intrigue in this chapter. The writing is brilliant and fascinating in its complexity @JamesSavik! Great work.
  6. So one of Grissom's spies got caught. The orientation of the ships' crews went well and a lot of people are very excited. Grissom has already lost battle with all the new enhanced humans he concentrated finding each other. Tom must be looking a yet another twin/cousin.

The rock rats got what they went out to get. They also go a big surprise with the arrival of the Summers. Crash is going to be a CAG with Tom as his assistant. Danny gets to navigate the Summers back with a direct jump to its berth. Danny also gets his doctorate degree and two promotions. Director Grissom of the Bureau of Genome Integrity doesn't impress me as a good person. I understand the bureau, but this guy reeks of evil. The only reason I can see for concentrating the enhanced humans in the fleet (but spread out) is to have them disappear as casualties of war. He even has some of these he uses as unknowing spies. Like I said, he's not nice.

Danny's math genius has astounding implications for future battles with the enemy. He's going to be one busy navigator when the Admirals find out he is already there with them. I agree that Tom and Danny need to keep their common DNA a secret for now. The prospecting trip bodes well for the future wealth of all three explorers.

The book is a delightful, historical, humous, and factual gay classic that I read while a college student. Gertrude and Alice were two San Francisco Jewish lesbians who were writers and in love. They set up their home together for the next 40 years in Paris. There they set up a salon which hosted many artists and writers such as Hemingway and Matisse. This is a wonderful read sitting outside in the shade in the summer, or a cosy fireplace in the winter. These two amazing women have inspired and influenced this gay guy most of my life. The following article is one of many that can be found. I chose this one because it is written by The Legacy Project. The Legacy Project: Gertrude Stein and Alice B Toklas
  10. Good Morning All!

    Chapter 7

Dang but you're good @kbois! I read and posted my comments last night. Today, I read all the comments here. It took me an hour to read and react the 5 pages of comments! That, and I checked the Genre News and Shadow Effects is now 3rd on the paranormal list, just behind Spirit Wolves. You're catching up to your beta, @astone2292. Congratulations!

    Chapter 7

Now you're not only making me miss home @scrubber6620, but also incredibly hungry for Tillamook Ice Cream. Can't get it here, and Haagen Dazs costs $12 per pint. 😢

    Chapter 7

Hot sex with all the cards on the table. That was a very steamy session! Kage should not be so dismissive of the 'puppies'. Just wait until he meets them. Boss man caving to Kage is a bit of a surprise, but Elijah having Kage as a very close bodyguard 24/7. Yeah, right! Look at all the possibilities mentioned for fun. That didn't even include the bed they'd share. There's a lot of fun in this chapter! Great work @kbois!

    Chapter 7

Again?!?!?!..🤔...Oh I get it! You lost the bet! All I want to know is what was the bet, and how many more mentions of Jay Fuckiing Petermeyer do we have to listen to in the story? I bet @Mrsgnomie tried to get you to drink something with coconut in it first before you decided to accept Jay. Now I have to go finish this chapter.

    R & R

This story had a comfortable, familiar feeling from the start. Tom's interests in mining range a bell in the last chapter. This chapter with Daniel's background on Mars, Crash, Tom and Daniel's identical genome enhancements really started to shake me up. What really made me realize that I have read this story in the past was Daniel's dissertation on micro-jumps. I have read this before. I look forward to once again continue this story and see new chapters. @JamesSavik, Thank you for coming back to this story! I am excited to see these characters and universe again. I hope to see the conclusion to this story and how it ties into Our Hopes For Tomorrow Began Yesterday. Wow! This is so exciting!

    Capella Anchorage

These two make interesting companions. I wonder if they will both will go exploring the asteroids and search for their wealth? It would seem that there will be some additional cargo loaded. I wonder if they will get more of the secret items to fight the enemy.
  20. This tactical force is stealthily building with new ships, and training exercises. They are sneaking up on the enemy by using different jump lanes. I think they are going for a knockout and not just a knockdown punch to the enemy of robots. What's Tom's definition of the better he is looking for? Nice build up of this setting.

    Under Way

Off to tackle the enemy. The propulsion system is interesting as it seems to rely on gravity wells and hydrogen. The last minute addition of crew and equipment is also intriguing. A kind of stealth team to add the detonator to the new kind of bomb. Since they are at the beginning for the trip with many more jumps on the way, I wonder if there will be any additions to the crew.
  22. Wow! Eight cargo ships carrying a knockdown punch to the enemy! If I were one of the captains, I would be sweating a lot now knowing I was sitting on a powderkeg. I'm getting hooked on this fast.

    Introduction

Great start! Enough to compel us to learn more and question the future.
  24. That is an amazing gif. I don't know anyone who has done that, but have a friend that can drink a double shot of whiskey, no hands, like that. I think a certain friend of @Mrsgnomie might be able to take a double, double shot of Ole Smoky Mango Habanero Whiskey
  25. Colt may rule SF, but his poorly trained bears are not the best troops. They couldn't even sneak up on a boat of humans. I love the human crew of the fishing boat and their Captain Ron. They showed a great deal of trust and an amazing ability to accept the changes they witnessed as their friends changed to werebears. Too bad they are not werebear kin. I wonder if the lunch routine will be changed? I am personally waiting for the family get together on Thanksgiving and hope it goes great for everyone except Mom! I still want her dress to be ripped to shreds along with her twisted vision of Shivay and Nameer's lives and future. I did some online research about tigers vs grizzlies. It seems that the size difference is negated by the speed and agility between the two. So it is a 50/50 chance for either in combat losing/winning. Maybe Mom and Colt could fight each other to death and both lose. For us it would be a 100% win!
