Another enjoyable chapter. I especially like the flight training and progression from a jay to a falcon. I think the boys' determination to cook meals to please both mother and father might be to assuage their guilt.

Things are working out well, so I'm getting back to the normal pace. My support of your work is justified by your talented writing as well as our friendship. I tried to stay on top of reading Bearpaws. It was the number one priority of all the stories I am reading now! Jubal is still climbing to the top as one of my favourite characters. I also secretly hope that Billy has more than hero worship for Reid. I liked how he is more developed in this chapter. -

Loved this chapter, Gary. I don't think Jubal will get all the rest the Doc prescribed. He's just too excited. I'm glad that Jubal talked to Billy and Reid. He did slip and say 'home' and then corrected it. I doubt that those two care at all. Like Jubal, I have my suspicions about them also. Funny though, Lucas and Jubal are probably even more obvious to others in the town. Great chapter!- 76 comments

This is another fun and interesting interview with one of my favourite authors. When Opportunity Knocks was one of the first stories I read by Kbois. It was the one that got me hooked on reading her stories. At the time, it was only the second book I had ever read that had me belly-laughing. Nonstop! -
Don't listen to those two Mrsgnomie! They have no heart! Contrary to what kbois has said, those three boys desperately need the love Corbin, Asa and Caleb will give them. All three men have already felt the pull of a bond with these boys. Kbois had painted herself into a Korner and Krew will keep her there until she relents!

The pics are great examples of your points @Backwoods Boy! I would add that the pump, hoses and nozzles are definitely not from the 1930s. I think your second point is a very creative suggestion. These misinterpretations would be fun prompts for a fantasy AU story! I would love to see how you would write to one of these pictures as a prompt!

Growing up near a small grove of Douglas Fir trees I loved playing in the small forest. Alder and cedar are my favourites for fireplaces, campfires and smoking salmon. I was very happy when you said you gave the saplings of cedars to others because, like you, my favourite tree is the cedar for both its fragrance and beauty.

Thailand has conifers if you get above 1000 meters in the northern mountains. These forests are mainly two tropical species of pine.

Hi Page, We are OK. We didn't go out Friday, because we're going out with our friends tonight to celebrate two birthdays. I'm behind in chores and need to get the car washed, but that can wait until Monday or Tuesday. I've been working on Man's story this weekend. It's a light-hearted romance with a lot of humour and a few chills. If you get a chance to read it, you will enjoy it. How are you and the boys?

I agree with you 100% Chris. Of Greg's friends, I was impressed most by Jake. He figured out what would happen and summarized the situation perfectly in the last paragraph.

I continue to be impressed by the new version. This reads very well as the story builds. I think Greg's friends will never betray him. Somehow, they will be brought into the vampire world like Chris and his father. Great work!

I know how you feel, Dan. While editing, I had to take a snack break many times. Besides tissues for both happy and sad tears, I suggest stocking up on some favourite snack foods!

You've made some good points, @akascrubber! Michael is hopelessly straight, but also a mystery at this point. Living homeless can really twist how someone thinks about people. We will just have to wait to see his reactions to the Robins family. As sick as he was when Max found him, I doubt he remembers anything from yesterday.

Michael and Charlie are lucky to have a loving gay family to help them. They will probably run into a few people who rail and demean, but they now have people like the Robins and Michael's doctor, Nurse Judy and Nurse Donna who support them. That will make a difference in the future they face.
