The successful fishing trip and tour of the home have set the hook for the prospective sponsors. Let's hope that Dr. Hamlin can real them in as permanent sponsors. Louise studying to be a model may concern Armand and Colin, but I a sure GG will help Louise avoid trouble. There is always the possibility that Louise can use the skills she will learn in a related career and not become a model. I think Pierre will make an excellent teacher if he chooses that career. He is a great problem solver, empathetic, knows how to build trust, and has a great deal of patience. The students will want to bond with him as their mentor/teacher.

Really Drew? It can be about what I said. We all know you and Spike hang out discussing #Only Friends. Hope you are having a good weekend.

Bar hopping is a Friday night with friends tradition. The hopping is limited to 2 or 3 bars within 100 feet of each other so it's more like slow walking than hopping.😁

Great start on this book. I like how you are slowly building the foundations of Greg's new life by starting with a little history and some facts about how vampires are different physically from what Greg learned as a human.

Hi Spike! Having fun this weekend?
-
Agree! Drew and Spike may be "only" friends, but I think they're like the #Only Friends who spend a lot of time ....

Hi Clo! No Clo. Aod is the only one I'm that close to. When it comes to the Texan, I usually try to keep at least an ocean distance away. I have had that lump for three weeks almost, but I noticed the thing was much less swollen, less painful and has less of an angry red area.

I agree with @84Mags completely. Hopefully, the task of healing will not be as difficult for the pups. There may be a lot of pups, but Sabastian already has them in therapy with some success. That gives me hope that the mental healing will not be as extensive as Caleb needed. Also, when they were rescued there were a lot of medical tests done on them by doctors, and I doubt the doctors would have missed seeing poison in their systems. Asa will probably not need to go through that agony. Finally, I suspect the damage to the pups that prevented them from shifting was at the DNA level. That is something that Asa's powers can fix more easily. A little physical healing and some mental healing have got to be easier than what Asa went through with Caleb.

Hi Cassie! I've been missing you. Hope you are doing well!

That was my thinking with all the supernatural beings in the vicinity. That kind of place seems natural for demons and at least one author has set some great stories there.

No need to see a manicurist. No nails left to bite. Awesome writing kbois! It was both more exciting and scarier than I imagined it would be. Considering how the healing left Asa, it will probably be several days before he wakes up and more to recharge his energy. Caleb was also exhausted, but the way Giles focused on Asa only leads me to believe that Caleb will be OK and up long before Asa. I imagine Caleb will be taking care of Asa for a while. I hope for Asa's sake Giles sends meals to them.

That's great news, Gary! I hope you regain your energy also. Off to bed. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Otis is very seductive even if he isn't aware he is of his effect on Hudson. Hudson will probably get a good sleep tonight, unfortunately. He's in a very protective mode around Otis and won't give in and do what he really wants to do. I'm sure neither Otis nor Hudson will feel cold in bed. At minimum they'll feel a slow burning sensation.

Hi Gary! How's the recovery coming along?

@bignick, @Albert1434. @Drew Espinosa, @Headstall, @spike382, @Bucket1, @clochette, @dughlas, @Mancunian Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all! I spent the day reading the new anthology stories. A lot of great short stories that may become new books are in this group. I recovered from Friday's excess, but tomorrow I'm going in to see the doctor. I have an angry red lump on my thigh that is probably infected. I see many days of antibiotic pills in the near future. Otherwise, Aod and I are doing well.

Contradicting yourself is a bit mental. Hi Drew!

2023 Anthology: Leap of Faith *Now Live*
raven1 commented on Valkyrie's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I just finished this awesome group of stories. The anthology is off to a great start, with hints that many (hopefully all) of the stories will be the first chapters in new books. Thanks to all the authors for the great reading you gave us. Like @astone2292, I am impatiently waiting for the next group. Thanks to Val, the authors and all who contributed to this year's anthology! -
This story is a delightful, mischievous frolic in Sin City. The unique and demonic characters are fun and full of razor-sharp humour. You'll learn why Las Vegas is less than angelic. I was compelled to read this three times before risking a comment. This is a naughty nighttime read. You should definitely read this tale.

You're only half right about Oregon with the earth-cruchies. That part of Oregon would deter Angels, but the other half is Bible-beating sheep. Now go back to tending the bar in the Korner. You are too much like Sydemus to work the bar in Caesar's Place. Does "I carry jokes and quips as if they were knives," sound familiar?

Peliel is a fascinating name choice for a Nephilim. The biblical meaning is "Face of God"? Nice simile. Wicked humor! I immediately thought of someone we both know. I see the word grace many times, usually not with the same meaning. It almost felt like you set up a minefield of puns. Got some great laughs from this. ⬆️. My guess is that Peliel and Vaathu spent some time in the area of Kentucky or Tennessee based on the biscuit and gravy reference. There was more than one "leap of faith" moment in this story. I did wonder that now that Peliel has finally met his destiny if his unwanted protector will stop protecting him. I loved the playful and amusing way you mischievously turned demons into soft and cuddly begins. Great entry @astone2292!

This is a short sweet story that left me wishing for someone to cuddle with. Trust and love go both ways. Read it on a work break or just before going to sleep. It's a very soothing tale.

Nice warm story. Now I need to find a nice cuddle bunny to snuggle up to.

A great beginning to an adventure in space. True to the anthology's theme, there is a leap...followed by a cliffhanger. Myr is such a tease! I did have fun reading this tale. It is a quick fun read that I can heartily recommend.

An excellent story that will set the mood for the eve before All Saints Day. A must read!
