What a tangled web! The Pastor and Higgins, the embezzlement, murder.... I might have held my breath the whole time the kids were hiding till they got out, and they have nothing to show for their trouble. I hope they don't try that again. Chelsea's mom is finally seeing the light, that's a good thing. It feels like it's all going to implode soon. Can't wait.
Life is moving along for Bulldog and Bubba, and it feels so real to me. I like that Barry is settling into his informant role, but he needs to remember these guts are pros. If he gets a gun, he has to be smart, especially now that Dave is thinking something may go down NYE! Dave's letter was just so right. There's always these very real life incidents you add that make this story so rewarding. And now, Gladys will be on loop in my head, but I don't mind at all.
Autumn- And so it begins... Talk about a bad grab! I'm guessing when the chief is through, those two officers would have learnt a valuable lesson if they still have jobs. Those phone calls tho... Lol On top of that, they now know about Tony, and you can feel their anxiety in wanting to rush to his side.... knowing what else is waiting I hope Tommy is ok. Couldn't wait to have the boys back, and now that they're here I can't wait for more. Loved this first chapter.
This warmed me up and made me smile. So happy Silas and Brady finally connected and admitted their feelings. Now we have their stimulating coffee date to look forward to.
Just how do you put a price on an unborn baby, a child. Sad thing is there are real people like that. I have a huge problem with that. Candy has no problem leaving the baby with gay guys now that she's exacted her price. Even though only Michael will be signing the papers. Kendall's right though, better she thinks that she's won. At least the kid will have a great start. Whatever life she thinks she is off to having with Lionel she is delusional. She can't keep the poison that she is, hiding for long unless she makes a complete turnaround. Anyway, the guys had me for a moment at the end there, but I'm glad they cleared that up. They work so great together.
So the queen protected them and ran away, now she's calling to them. Oh boy! What will the Islanders do now that the Queen is free. Spark also has healing qualities? How can there be only 1 chapter left, seems like there's so much to tell!
While I was wishing all sorts of hell on Martin, I had a thought. What does it mean for Casey if Martin just gets arrested. Or if he happens to end up dead, does Casey know enough about those tests for his levels to take care of himself, and are they even necessary.
I really like that Deon had his support team with him at the meeting. Sometimes Agents are more trouble than they are worth, but Alastair seems like a fairly reasonable guy.
Neil, needs to talk soon, if Clarissa doesn't figure it out first. Everyone jumped to the wrong conclusion and that could have gone badly. Still not liking Doug, but he's standing up for Liam and I think Rod will be plenty surprised. Neil's going to need Liam when he finds out about his dad.
Silas had a minor freak out, but it's okay... for now. Can't wait until he gets that cellphone though it may not be sunshine at first. I hope the kids clue an adult in as to what's going on soon, especially if the Pastor is capable of murder. Poor Chelsea though, as if she needs the added stress.
Contact with the band foiled! It's unfortunate, but not surprising that Chelsea took that route, but she has support so I hope it will make a difference to her. The pastor may have killed Daniel? Even worse, to cover up the fact that he was having sex with him. I don't want to believe it could be Pastor Gregory, but he knows sows something. Happy that Adam is making good on his future.
Pretty good visuals you provided. Can't say I'm sorry about how Bently met his end. But Spark is leaking onto Andy and Rick, and there's an angry Queen looming over them, a bomb goes off, and you end there? What!
This whole thing with Candy is mind boggling. So much effort in scheming to hold on to a man who most likely would have figured her out and left. This chick is a train wreck. Thankfully Janine will come through for the boys, and maybe she gets Lanny as a reward... This is way too stressful so I'm glad Michael an Kendall ended up teasing and laughing and what ever else.....
Did not see that coming. Nice how the band kind of protected Silas from Emma, by not giving too much away. Theo's reaction surprised me but then I absolutely understood it. I think it's great Emma did what she could and obviously cares about her brothers. She's keeping her search for Silas a secret for now, which I guess I understand, but the fallout of that could be interesting..
So, Martin's situation is even more dire than we knew and that is no good for Casey. Poor Casey is hurting. Shawn needs to get to him, and get through to him like now.
How amazing it must feel for Silas to wash enough of his past away so that he can step clean into a new future. To finally be able to sleep without being on alert. That was a sad look back at what he had to go through. His reluctance to give up Adelaide's leash made me tear up a little. That dog was his constant, the only thing that never disappointed and he could always count on. What a near miss for the The Navigator, but now he knows the band is making things happen. Hopefully now that he has a computer, he'll find them online and know just how meaningful that song is. Ian and Amy are the best. I'm happy that Silas decided to trust them and stay in the place he can call home.
Great chapter. Martin, I have no words for.. How far will Casey go before his tired body gives out, or the shocks from the collar do him in. Will Shawn wake up before Martin does and go searching for Casey? Will he find him in time to explain he's not horrified. I'm so distressed for the boys, I hope we get answers soon.
I really like how you crafted this story Carlos. The snippets of life in each short chapter was ideal, as were the components of that period of Vietnam. Well done.
To think Casey, wanted to stay in because he maybe had an idea the cave would not be safe in that kind of storm. If Martin had not been drowning his sorrows he'd have known too. But now Shawn comes in to save the day! At least once he gets over his shock at Casy locked in the cave and possibly in his mer form still. Anxiously awaiting what comes next...
Cinnabon is sinful, and oh so hard to resist. Whether or not he realises it, there's a little less fight or flight to Silas. His banter with Amy is nice to see, especially as he is very aware of her motives. He will eventually figure out the way this new family works, and his place in it.
