This one hit hard! I don't know whom I feel worse for. Nathan, for the public beat down he got from Josh, or Josh, for the guilt he must carry after saying all those things to Nathan. I agree with DrP, Nathan should never have gone there. It just wasn't the place. I guess Nathan was feeling put out enough from being wiped out of Josh's existence, so embarrassing him in front of the 'chosen' friends was his answer. Who was to know that Josh would be on edge already from the Nathan and Josh innuendo. The thing is I think they could have talked it through.. It's just sad it ended that way.

That was good MD....returning the leather band to Bryan, making him doubt Wyatt. Too bad it worked only for a second! If Bryan could just have clarity for a minute, just by his mother's reactions to everything, he would be suspicious of her too. I'm glad the police recognised the letter as fake. That seemed to rattle MD. Hopefully enough that she trips up some more..

So glad that confrontation ended well. The layers are beginning to peel back on the boys. I think you are doing an amazing job of keeping their characterizations distinct. As of now, Chris and Luke seem to be playing to their strengths, in the way they handled Gary and Jason respectively. I'm glad Jason at least came to a compromise..for now. It is much easier to be friends and help each other find along the way, as I suspect there will be difficulties both personal and moral to face.

Please do not let this be the last time any one calls CJ 'My..ah..me'. That was priceless, and CJ's reaction...lol. I like interaction of this little crew that CJ is building. Its admirable how CJ is showing patience and not just flying off the handle to defend himself. I get that the dads are worried but it seems like summer with the Eight contributed to this development and growth in character, so CJ is on the right track. It probably serves as a good model to anyone paying attention. No one befriends the irritating loudmouth, or the jock who tries to goad you into a fight. Yet CJ did, and that will earn him respect and trust amongst his peers. Great chapter Carlos, ready to board the PP....

CG I waited for you this time, but Dodger still got here first! I chuckle every time David refers to his mom as Tommys mother, imagining his supposed disapproval. Funny stuff. The whole time Gary is exposing the plan, in my head I'm going nononononooo listen to Twoey. This kind of thing rarely goes well. It was nice getting in the boys heads. David's confused and even if he may have no real idea on how to proceed at least he knows what he's confused about!! I'm glad that Twoey considers this to be home. Memories of Mike won't just go away, but he has Erik, David and the gang to keep him from getting depressed down by it all.

I liked them all, but...this may be my favorite so far!

Yeah, Kate's deliberate antagonism isn't winning her any points for sure. Like Drpaladin suggests, she may have a better insight to Nathan's feelings than Josh does, and maybe too she's insecure about the part of Josh that's faithful to Nathan. His mom's insensitivity to how Josh is feeling is troubling. I mean, that's a traumatic event for anyone, no matter how she felt about Nathan. I wonder what other memories lie in the cave.

I feel terribly for Robbie, having to go through all of that. Life is so unfair with the hands it deals sometimes. You walk us through his emotions quite well. It's easy to understand why he wouldn't want to leave Tom. On top of their profound friendship, it's like they're on the cusp of being something more. Who knows how it would have turned out one way or the other, but it's mind wrecking not to have known. An incredibly moving chapter...

I don't think it ever took me so long to get through a chapter. Had to keep re-reading through the tears. Happy, happy, tears.You did it again Gary. Delivered a beautiful and perfect chapter. Kendall and Michael are so deserving of their happy ever after, a perfect fit. Michael was right not in not waiting to propose a second longer. This was so heartfelt and was more real and intimate because of the two good knees anecdote. I know other stuff happened, and I'm happy for Janine and Lanny... Well done Gary...Thank you!

After that horrible turn, this was a perfect date! I like Dave, and I'm excited for Reece. Can't wait to see how this develops.. I wonder if seeing the cousins side with Reece, more now that he's banned himself from dinners, will ever have any melting effect on his parents...or at least get them thinking.

My opinion, I don't know that you'll find anyone who won't approve of your decision. It is a good sign, I think that you've recognised what works and what definitely won't. Somethings are better left imagined, and most likely, leaving out improves the quality of the story. In the case of your story and it's direction, I think awkward and inept fumbling is okay and par for the course.

Whaat!!! Not nice. Good story though, I'll go ahead and assume that soon, you will make it up to us somehow!

MD is despicable. Using Eddie, that's not right on any level. Bryan loves Eddie too, so that's a double whammy for MD when it all comes out. It seems though, she's tried to have her story backed up. She felt certain in naming Yellow Cab, cause I'm betting Simon (never trust anyone with an unpronounceable last name) was the one to get in the cab. I can't even guess what else she has planned, to throw suspicion away from her. Now that we know she's capable of anything, I'm even more worried for Wyatt.

This was really good Puppilull. At the risk of repeating everyone, your twist on the usual vampire/human was brilliant. I loved how the pocket watch tied into the vampire's story. It was easy to to sympathize with him, but you also captured the narrator's feelings very well. It would be great if you considered continuing this piece, I'm curious about them now. Job well done!

I love, love, loved this chapter. From the beginning to now, we've come to know these characters so well. It's been amazing to watch their transformation to who they are now. Something this chapter captured wonderfully, as they interacted with each other, their friends and family. So excited for the finals match!!

Josh is a very good friend to Nathan. He may be clueless to the crush Nathan has on him, but Nathan is creating his own relationship. Secluded caves, beautiful sunsets... Then a kiss that isn't rebuffed. Josh also deliberately puts Nathan's arm back around him. If Josh is aware, he's going to totally misread that. I cannot wait for them to wake up to see how this plays out.

Well, that moved quickly! Erik doesn't waste time does he? But at least Twoey got to have a taste. And that mom radar..... i like Sam. He seems to be the friend the guys will confide in. It was nice that he clued David in on Twoey, but now, David has another plan to work on..hehe. Till next time.

Holy Moly! I would never bother to show for dinner, so already Reece is a better person than I am. At least he left on his terms. The gall of the aunt and then, his parent just stand there!? Great start, I'm looking forward to more..

I like how you're pacing this story. There's a lot of detail but it's not so involved that we get bogged down. It's interesting to witness the dynamic between the siblings and Robbie, as we get to know them and see their personalities. You would think a guy could catch some sleep before he got told the rules of the house though! A lot of change for Robbie, I wonder if his friendship with Tom will survive the move but I look forward to watching him adapt and fit in. Great story, I'm really enjoying it!

It's very interesting, the reasons the boys gave for joining. I can't wait to see how that aligns with their emerging personalities. Gary and Luke, I can sense their trepidation, which is absolutely understandable. Anyone would be, not knowing in a sense what they would be facing. They seem to be taking it all in normal stride for now. Chris seems to be the more confident of the three, and maybe because he made the choice to join the church his insight is clearer. He might be a good friend to Gary. Jason though, is our wild card. It's almost as if he has the burden of proving his loyalty, and his faith, so he uses every slight as an opportunity to show himself as the beacon for the Church. He's trying way too hard, so he's either an a** or something's up with him. I continue to be very intrigued by this story Cynus, good job.

An unknown suspect or an accomplice? This whodunit just became twistier. We know MD (yes I'm using that too, TY) wants Bryan with a girl and Darrin wants Wyatt back. A new suspect is a whole new game. I'm thinking accomplice to MD. How convenient is it that the envelope is left with her. I hope Bryan won't be swayed by the contents. Wyatt's going to need him more than ever! Maybe Marc's dad an officer, mayor, connected somehow and can get the ball rolling. Great chapter, but of course I want more....

Yup... The loudest naysayers and the rest who protest far, far too much, are usually the ones who have the most to hide! I never saw the appeal for the Duggars thankfully.
