CSR Book Club October C S R Discussion: Wolf Like Me By Dayne Mora
Defiance19 commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Great interview.. I certainly join everyone in their enthusiasm for this series.. I agree with Gary about you writing memorable characters that jump off the page. It's what I love most I think, and there is so much to love.. Glad to hear there are more books planned, and Prestoncentric at that. I love me som Preston.. -
Oh my goodness.. This doesn't feel like it will end well. These kinds of surprises-things get misinterpreted, and Corey well.. I mean I don't think Jason would do that to him but.. Oh man! Lit you wouldn't mess up a good thing would you?
-
The Sedors visit was most pleasant. Even mom noticed the connection between Jason and Corey from way back when. I hope Corey still goes to Ottawa. That office mixup sounds like south at would definitely happen right in the middle of a good time.. Nice Chapter..

I'm late again, but I'm kind of glad because answers will come sooner. I'm anxious, not knowing whether or not to trust Samuel and his band. I'm glad they're willing to stand up but are they inviting more trouble? Also, Jae was so very lucky to get back home.. This is so so good tim.... I'm enjoying it.

Can Lourdes just go away. Head first into a gator swamp maybe? The good thing is Richie doesn't seem to be unduly influenced by his shitty parents. And there is the blessedly good influence of his grandmother.. I still think that Owen should be given a minute to adjust his thinking and stance on the money issue. That's not something that goes away easily. That said, I'm glad he had that chat with Ceasar, so he can put it in perspective and not find himself whining about it all the time. That could get old fast.. Fantastic as always Carlos..

Chapter 28 Interlude at Eagle's Nest
Defiance19 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 28 Interlude at Eagle's Nest
A Fendral scenting? Whatever could that mean. So many questions for that guy. Where he's been? Why'd he leave? Why he's back? Kellar and Tobyn are just so good for each other and they balance each other perfectly. Tobyn is a smart guy. Their little romantic sorting out was also perfect. Sweet chapter Gary.. -
This chapter was frighteningly too real with the descriptions. That made it a little harder to read. I'm glad that he, the predator, realised the depth of what horror he had unleashed on others. Now he is out, but not free. There is Ted. I don't think he can hide from Ted as I also think that Ted manipulated that escape. I don't know what's worse for him. Living with the full knowledge of what he's done or looking over his shoulder for Ted who just upped the game. This is yet another captivating chapter.. Thanks Parker..

Chapter 29 Walking Down The Aisle

Just beautiful Gary.. You expressed your feelings wondrously... -
This... It made me smile.. I'm glad for you both...

A couple of questions.. How did Ginny not know that David's dad died. Is she so out of the loop with the kids? Is Martha at Koy's the same girl who was in PPF bible study group with David2. Im glad Chuck gave David that shake up. How could he not even consider going for his brother.. Poor Tom though.. The boys pretty much have only each other and David needs to remember that. Grandpa should consider moving closer... I can't believe Chuck is saddled with Erik's car.. That's so creepy.. As for Don's whole let's break up before college.. I get it. I saw my son's friends do that, some because they wanted the chance to be free, others because they would rather not deal with jealousy and a breakup.. Don may be a little insecure so Chuck just needs to keep reassuring his guy.. I'm loving Chuck by the way.. Great stuff SkinnyD!

I'm blaming you for my wanderlust... It looks like CJ and Owen will butt heads a lot as they progress into whatever you have planned for them. I think I said it before. That could make them stronger, or it could be the thing that keeps them apart. I hope it never gets to that, as I agree with Jack and Liz that they should be friends if they can't be lovers.. CJ could lighten up a little though on the guy, a little less bristly. It says something about Owen that he isn't automatically thrilled his friend has money and can pay his way. I guess they have to figure out a way to work around their sensitivity.. That said, Its a good thing and I like that they're actually learning about each other this way. The dads are busy huh.. Can't wait for Florida.. A little purple for your purple...

I am beginning to believe that the predator is an inherently immoral and vile person. He is captive as it were, and his thoughts have an almost boastful deliverance. like if he had the chance he would seek Marc out again. There's no remorse. That can't be normal. Ted is not much better. Nor is the guy who admits how sick this is, and has his turn anyway. Oh, but he untied him....so yeah, thanks. But will he make a break for it or get caught? I have to wonder about how the predator came into Ted's orbit. Was it the incident that broke Marc? Did Marc or the kid tell? Is this revenge.. I'm sure there are other party boys who broke too. Pretty potent stuff Parker..

Ga's Newest Promising Author: Carlos Hazday
Defiance19 commented on A.J.'s blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
Congrats.... Very well deserved! -
Oh holy heck! Carl is getting Chuck to spill all the tea.. The news about David and the family, his father!!! I did not anticipate that in any way.. This isn't David's story, but I still worry that he is not fully well. That is a serious codependent relationship with Twoey. Same school I understand.. The rest is disturbing, at least for me. Suddenly I see a grim ever after.. I hope I'm very wrong. The new brothers are bonding. I'm glad that Carl was able to give Chuck a little bit of good info about their father. He didn't know the man but he must have been wondering if he was always a monster. Carl for his part could be the brother to Chuck that he wasn't fully for Danny. Looking forward to the highs and lows as Chuck and Don navigate their separation. I wil be curious to see how they fare versus Twoey and David.. Nice capter SkinnyD..

Ouch...and OMG...and I have no words.. I do think though, that I came away feeling a little conflict for Ted.. So good though Parker..

Chapter 27 Leaving Home and Finding Home
Defiance19 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 27 Leaving Home and Finding Home
It's a good thing that there is more than one someone for everyone. Denver was lucky to find Elinor and live past that pain and loss. And in such a gut wrenching way too. Oh, I hope they find out about the Reznik's advantage soon. Again, we see how the pack is changing, becoming better. Ms Sybil is improving, yay.. That she saw the images is worrying, but I trust the boys to get vigilant and to heed her words as such. I can understand why Kelkar would not want to give up the cabin. That made me sad for him, but at least now he has a getaway for 'sorting'. So Warren next.. I'm so curious as to how he handles all this. I mean a new start and all, but this is way more than he's expecting.. Another great chapter Gary.. Thanks much.. -
:-( Hope you're ok..

Sometimes, even with the best intentions we fall far from our plans. I admire CJ for keeping a clear head. I could clearly envision running into the Brits and while that was fun, it could have easily gone south. As usual, your descriptions left me feeling I was there.. So CJ is keeping his promises to himself...so far. Can't wait for those threads to star unraveling... Meanwhile, at home Papa is casually (not) worrying about his son. I love it..

Just as things were looking really nice too. But, isn't that the way. Even in this world there are the stains who would rather take from others and cause trouble, rather than make it better by offering help. Too bad they couldn't all be weeded out, unrealistic as that is. Hopefully, David will have enough to time to rally his own troops to face the trouble that's coming. There maybe some urgency in David in his just wanting to have that connection with another person. But, I think it is tempered by real caring and emotion, and it shows in how he and Jae communicate. I like how you've shown them developing. Great follow up chapter tim.

Creepy, creepy.. I couldn't resist with that title, but then boom you lead with the spider... I like it... I'm hoping for more because Mikie... I thought Zeke was was going to be a bad guy. So happy he turned out to be the one protecting them. I had to laugh though when Zeke was mad about the medium. Don't do it again.. Well done Val..

Uh-oh... That ending was great. Totally unexpected. I feel badly for the them especially Jon, who probably thought his dad was back for real. Poor Steven too, was so worried about his family and now... I wonder how many trials before the medicine really takes.. Well done tim... I liked it a lot!!!!

I love this beginning. Such a daunting world they live in, and you paint a very vivid picture of it. Lucky for Jae, David was a kind and understanding man. I'm looking forward to the rest as it unfolds, and I'm curious to see what and who they'll have to face going forward.. Nice work tim....
