You mean like this? It's listed as one of the ten Mel Brooks' jokes modern audiences wouldn't get. Most wouldn't get the Howard Johnson name is a joke either.

Isn't that what the definition means? If you don't cross at a designated crossing, it is illegal and unsafe. Unless you're a rube, then it's just what you do. -

I wonder if Luca feels his older brother simply abandoned and forgot about him just as his parents did? His younger and current perceptions of Cosmo may be way off base.

Dani and Marco's boyfriend experiment didn't survive their first outing. Marco was astute enough after the kiss to realize there was no passion in it. Our Marco has come so far and is so strong. He wasn't going to forge on with it just because it's what he wanted so badly for so long. There's disappointment, but no severely broken hearts. There was also no premature intimacy to make their friendship awkward and untenable. It ended the very best way it could.

Since the word rummy had rum in it, it or any other card games weren't played in our temperent household. A neighbor did teach me how to play canasta as a boy and I was a wizard at it.

Parallax is a he. The last time we saw Parallax he was translucent and it took all he had to open someone else's portal and send Beckett there. From what he said, he isn't able to come and won't be speaking to Beckett the not quite human again. Beckett, like any champion, is on his own.

Eric is a wizard as a fixer of both broken things and broken people. He couldn't have picked a better short trip. I love train travel. I remember riding on the very last run of our local passenger train service.

I think Eric's out of the blue question about whether Michael had ever travelled on a train has something to do with this trip. Oh yeah, Pete knows.

You can summarize the whole chapter with Eric's 'dreams mean everything.' Michael has given up on his dreams as impossible. It might be hard, but not impossible.

Home. Sweet? Home. Kalian's father is a complete idiot and he'll never learn any better. As to Serran, why not lightning fast raids to destroy critical infrastructure instead of sitting and waiting for them to attack?

Oh my. Dani is bouncing around like an errant ball. He made a snap decision about Giaco without weighing the long term consequences and I think Marco was cut too much slack for being responsible. Now Dani is dating Marco on the rebound. It's all moving way too fast. Elvin. It's the first positive description of Marco's looks and BAM, he gets the hottest boy in Ravello.

So no dragon ride, at least not at present. "Humans are weird," Valrinda says. Channeling Jim Morrison is he? I don't think weird bugs and fantasy flowers would ever clear a mystical quarantine. Beckett still hasn't shed the belief this is a dream. We do get a brief inkling Beckett feels trapped by his family's expectations, but no idea of where his true desires lie.

I'll wager no one is told about the substitution. -
The fire is still burning in Pete's furnace much to Michael's surprise. Having your sense of self worth reaffirmed and being needed does wonders. Eric is good for both of them. I think Pete might even approve of Eric as Michael's partner if it comes to pass.
