    Chapter 8

I'm already guessing there are more here than one to accept the selfless laurels.

    Chapter 14 S1

What does old money smell like? I'm asking for Caroline Astor as she is indisposed.
  3. It was also a character's name on Star Trek: Enterprise.

    Chapter 14 S1

Christmas was very good for the boys both in the joy they got from making sick children happier and knowing they no longer have to hide their relationship. I don't know about the practicality of searching for paper money buried in a suitcase for eighty or ninety years. I'd imagine it to be a wet lump of paper by now. Even in pristine condition money has changed and so much old cash would attract unwanted attention if produced at one time.

    Chapter 9

Stupid people thinking they are smart isn't new. I think most of Marco's parent's issues come from the way they were raised and it was an environment of low expectations and a lot of reinforcing out dated beliefs. I also have a feeling Marco was never wanted and viewed as a burden from day one.

    Chapter 13

    Misery loves company?

    Chapter 13

Though given the choice between the two, I'll pick small every single time.

    Chapter 13

Yes, but a lot more activities and things to distract you.

    Chapter 13

This chapter shouts out how lonely rural places can be without friends. There is little to do but retread the same paths.

    Chapter 13

Things are rarely as they seem. I believe Giaco has taken it upon himself to redeem Cosmo.

    Chapter 7

I agree. I have a cousin who commissioned one of those modernist horrors from a renowned architect and it looks like some weird, big factory.
  12. Druids left no written records. It's believed their doctrines forbade any records. What we know about them comes from the observations of others.

    Chapter 7

I'm finding it hard to swallow Eric is the poor student we've been led to believe with all this casual spending of money. I also recall his prior love interest liked things five star and Eric doesn't seem the moocher type, which would make him the moochee. It was a perfect trip and I'd say both of them are hopelessly into each other.

    Chapter 12

It's a good point. Giaco has been a mystery because we've only seen what those we've been privy to have seen of him.

    Chapter 12

It does raise the question of how much one remembers of life at three. I can't really recall anything earlier than about four. I was a sponge after that.

    Chapter 12

It can lead to a plethora of issues. Studies have shown a tendency toward ADHD and lesser executive function later in Iife. I wouldn't call Marco destroyed though. He's been remarkably resolute.

    Chapter 12

Giaco's explanation about being abandoned by his father makes me wonder more why he had so little empathy or concern for Marco when they left him in the dust. Abandonment issues tend to make people clingy and paranoid over losing relationships. It should be noted Marco has been going through abandonment the entire time we've known him. It has only transitioned from mostly emotional to physical.

    Chapter 6

It was a subtle hint wondering the whereabouts of Ch. 7.
  19. It's not surprising. Birds signal the seasons, carrion birds show death, shore birds tell the sailor they're near land.

    Chapter 6

A friend had a private railcar for awhile which was built for one of the railroad barons back in the day. I went on several trips with him and loved it.

    Chapter 12

Dani finally told his parents what had been going on. He is so lucky to have them and their unconditional love. He and Giaco have somewhat repaired their friendship. The couple thing will still take awhile to get back on track. I can't say confronting Cosmo directly was a smart move, but it was a very Giaco move.
  22. The Latin auspex means bird seer.

    @Libby DrewSomeone dropped a stitch.

    Chapter 11

It sounds complicated. Sami would still be subject to the Italian law regardless of where the adoptive parents are from.
  25. Jaywalk is a word of purely American origin.
