  1. Happy Birthday, Cia!
  2. If the first 19 chapters are any indication, I sure the final one will be great. I have no idea how it's going to end; I do hope there are a lot of happy characters at the end. Keep up the good work, John.
  3. John, thanks for Chapter 19. I really like the poem Danny wrote. I am not surprised that you could write a good poem. I am also not surprised that it was more than just a poem; it plays an integral part in the story and is a key bit of communication between two of the characters. Great work!
  4. The latest installment, Chapter 18, is excellent, John. Danny is being very mature and responsible in dealing with Lee. This was a very touching chapter. For the record, I do not feel rushed. You may post chapter 19 immediately.
  5. Statistically, weather forecasters are correct about 50% of the time.
  6. You are welcome, John. I hasten to point out that you have received 85 reviews for your story. I believe I am correct that the reviews are 100% favorable. People are loving the story. You've had 14,652 people read the story; that's an average of 862 per chapter. Unfortunately, a lot of people read and enjoy a story, but never comment. It would be such a small price to pay to let an author know you like the story and to provide encouragement. You needn't be concerned about the few comments in this forum. Not a Kiss is a really big success.
  7. Chapter 17 is great, John. I can't wait for the next chapter and the promised revelation about Lee. You won't keep us in suspense very long, right?
  8. Love you too, Phana.
  9. Whew! Wow! What a chapter! Andy is very good at the seduction thing.
  10. Nice pictures, Lacey...as always.
  11. I have several hundred friends. Certainly the degree of friendship varies, but I don't have a particular pet name for different levels of friendship. I tend to call all my friends by their first name only, regardless of their age (I'm old enough now that I can do that). I prefer that my friends call me by my first name. It rankles me a bit when a young adult calls me "sir" or uses some other formal term. That's OK for children. If an adult continues to call me "sir" after I ask them not to, I'm tempted to treat them like a child. The first step in becoming my friend? Pronounce my name correctly. My first and last names seem to invite mispronunciation. If you do mispronounce my name, I will correct you politely. If you pronounce it incorrectly a second time...get lost. And never, ever inform me that I have spelled my name incorrectly. Grrrr...
  12. Wow! Another cliffhanger in chapter 16. Things are getting more - not less - complicated. Danny is caught up in the middle of things which are bothering Liam and Lee. So, John, another chapter tomorrow?
  13. Cammy! For shame! That's obviously not a real frog. Frogs don't do porn.
  14. You're saying you didn't use your brain to come up with that name? That is clever.
  15. I loved Chapter 15, John. I'm happy to hear you plan more frequent chapter releases. That just means chapter 19 gets here sooner. As for your questions...who will or who should Danny end up with...I can't decide. There are two obvious possibilities with a slight edge to Liam over Joey at this point. That, of course, is a decision made in the heat of the moment. Nice cliffhanger, by the way. Looking forward to more.
  16. MikeL Mike is a nickname for my real first name. L is the first letter of my last name. How clever is that?
  17. Seriously, to get us back on the topic of C James' writing style, there is one important factor to consider. C James has more than one writing style. Two of his most widely read stories, Let the Music Play and its sequel, Changing Lanes were very similar and include many of the same characters in both stories. But contrast them with Ice Blink or For the Love and you see totally different styles. His two stories in current release, Circumnavigation and Jake, are as different in style as any two different authors could be. The forum on Jake has contained some comments indicating that some readers are disappointed at the pace or lack of action in the story. If you only knew where the story was heading, your only complaint would be that there is not a daily release of chapters. Having proofread all of Jake for C J, I am among the few who know where it is going. I urge you to keep reading; keep up with the story. The action...all you could possibly hope for...is ahead. Jake is a story about relationships. There are no nuclear explosions, no evil monsters out to rule the world, and no boy band roadies out to seduce the main characters. But relationships can be very explosive. Mark my word. One more thing. These are C James stories. There are cliffhangers.
  18. Happy Birthday, Thomas!
  19. I assume it's because you are a newbie. After your fifth post, a whole new world opens up to you on GA. I don't think I exagerate much.
  20. I'm very much with Benji here. All I've said on GA is true. My real name is the only thing I have not revealed along with specific information that would lead someone to uncover my real name. In real life, I'm am probably a little quiter than I appear here.
  21. You might enjoy one of the Bieber parodies at Youtube. Link Just for laughs.
  22. What a great attitude! Thanks for sharing, Jamie.
  23. The job situation is more than enough trouble for anyone to struggle with. I hope you find the prostate problem is a minor thing and can be treated quickly and easily. I do want to offer you some assurance that prostate cancer, if that should prove to be your ailment, is curable and is survivable for a long time even if it is not cured. I was about your age when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Most men with prostate cancer will be cured. I have survived for thirteen years without being cured. There is much you can do to boost your immune system to fight the cancer and that is in addition to whatever tratment you receive from the doctors. If you get the diagnosis you don't want, please get in touch with me. I would be happy to share my experience with you and believe I can encourage you. I am familiar with the full array of treatments you may be offered and I am familiar with some of the work being done by the National Cancer Institute in researching new treatments. Most of all, I want you to know I will be praying for you to be spared the need for any such treatment. Let's hope for the best .
  24. When gay marriage is fully legal throughout the US...and I think it will be sooner rather than later...it will change things for everyone. Gays will receive the greatest benefit, including some benefits many have not considered. Marriage will provide gays with a personal status they've not had before. I'm not talking about the legal staus and its attendant benefits. I'm talking about a whole new way to view their relationship. Many gay relationships are short-lived because there is no purpose to remaining together. Marriage will provide a purpose to keep a gay couple together. If they are sincere when making their marriage vows, they will build a partnership with their spouse where each of them complements the other. They will work together to reach their shared goals and aspirations. And they will be surprised to see just how much happiness they derive from those accomplishments. What I hope to see (and guess it will take too long to accumulate the statistics in my lifetime) is that gay marrieds have a lower divorce rate than heterosexuals. There's where all of society starts to benefit.
