I don't think homosexuality and Christianity are mutually exclusive in a person's life. A lot of fundamentalist Christians have a problem with the gay lifestyle, but they have forgotten that it is not their place to judge. That's actually a key element of the Christian life...who will do the judging.
It's also possible for someone to be for gay rights and be opposed to abortion. I am. If you are a socially liberal person, you don't have to agree with every socially liberal agenda. Political alliances may be important to the gay rights movement, but you don't have to buy the whole package if some part of it is offensive to you.
