    There's nothing ugly about the picture, Lacey. It's a very good one. You need not feel ashamed just because you haven't been weaned yet.

    I may be wrong, but I think Ben hasn't been mentioned since early in Chapter 3. I think he was just one of Lisa's pawns in her little game of getting Trevor laid. It will surprise me if he reappears.

    Thanks Corvus and Sam. I'm glad you enjoyed the limericks. They were fun to write despite the additional effort. It's not at all like writing more typical poetry. The best thing about them is their brevity. The 30 lines I posted took longer to produce than any other 30 lines of poetry I've done...not that I have much experience. "Orange" was fun. My real hope is that these limericks will have enough appeal that others will try their hand at writing some.

    Oh no! I thought it would take forever. Congratulations, Sam. You are correct. I should have placed a maximum age limit on participation. The picture is nearly 68 years old. It predates widespread use of color film. It is a hand-tinted black and white photograph.

    I didn't think I would ever do this, but I'm posting a picture of myself. I don't have pictures taken very often, so this is a little dated: Now, here's an important question. It will take sharp eyes and some knowledge of photography to give the correct answer. What is the unusual feature of this portrait?

    Thanks for your comments, Chase. I tried to do a little with current events that readers could relate to. I think the golfer may be the best example of that. Limericks take a while to write...at least for me...but I got a lot of satisfaction from the end result of my efforts. Now that you have disclosed your middle name, we all understand better what makes you tick.

    Another excellent chapter, Joey! Chapter 14 helps us understand what the various characters think of their and others' relationships. I'm anxious to see what nefarious scheme Ms. Lewis is about to unleash. I trust she will end up the big loser. Have a great weekend. Stay safe.

    My condolences on your loss, Eric. Have a safe trip. I don't understand a manger acting like that. The only acceptable response to your call was for him to get busy lining up substitutes for your shifts. I'll be surprised if you don't have people (including him if he's still there) urging you to stay.

    The goat speaks the truth. This is Clingman's Dome. At 6,643 feet it is the highest point in Tennessee. No cliffs here. There is a paved walkway from the parking lot to the top.

    Unusual story, James. He came out as gay at age 14. Now, at 18, he may experience a second coming out. I don't think homosexuality and Christianity are mutually exclusive in a person's life. A lot of fundamentalist Christians have a problem with the gay lifestyle, but they have forgotten that it is not their place to judge. That's actually a key element of the Christian life...who will do the judging. It's also possible for someone to be for gay rights and be opposed to abortion. I am. If you are a socially liberal person, you don't have to agree with every socially liberal agenda. Political alliances may be important to the gay rights movement, but you don't have to buy the whole package if some part of it is offensive to you.
