  1. Some airlines offer round the world tickets at reasonable prices. There are some restrictions, like a requirement to stay overnight on at least four different continents. Ha! Wouldn't keep me from going. Of course, you need sufficient time and money to make it worthwhile. I would go to Europe (Ireland, Germany, and the Scandinavian and Baltic countries), somewhere in Asia I haven't been (Hong Kong or Tokyo), Australia, and Brazil. I'll have to find someone to travel with me. My wife won't make that long a trip; she hates getting on and off planes, trains, buses, etc. Any volunteers?
  2. Great to hear you are back writing. Looking forward to more chapters.
  3. Quitting smoking? I did that years ago. It wasn't easy but, due exclusively to the support and encouragement of my best friend, my wife, I was able to break nicotene's death grip on my life. If you are committed to someone who encourages you to give up smoking, you should see it as your loving duty to your partner to break up your relationship with tobacco. Otherwise, you are engaging in a m
  4. Star Wars Wal-Mart or KMart?
  5. The New York Times reported today, 8/3/08, that HIV infection rates in the United States are 40% higher than previously thought. The article, H.I.V. Study Says Rate 40% Higher Than Estimate, discloses that a new, more precise testing method "found that 56,300 people became newly infected with H.I.V in 2006, compared with the 40,000 figure the agency has cited as the recent annual incidence of the disease." The article further states that "findings confirm that H.I.V., the virus that causes AIDS, has its greatest effect among gay and bisexual men of all races (53 percent of all new infections) and among African-American men and women." Have earlier findings, that the infection rate previously declined and has remained steady since the late 1990s, led gays to relax their safe sex practices? Has your own attitude about safe sex and AIDS prevention changed in the past 10 years? Please comment.
  6. Actually a pretty good picture, Pai-chan. You do not look weird.
  7. Thanks, Dan. This was a thoroughly engrossing story and the final chapter provided a most acceptable conclusion. Hooray for love! With Worthington and Kyle making it official that, as Kyle so forthrightly expressed it, "we're queer for each other," the alignments for Rich Boy:Inheritance are set. I am looking forward to the day when you return to this series. Jamie is not mentioned in the chapter, but it appears he survived and is well. The four young boys whom the demons had sought to re-engineer genetically are left as something of an unknown as to what their future holds, but they like and trust Worthington and that will hopefully see them through. Thanks again. On to Dreams of a Father.
  8. dkstories has released the final chapter of Rich Boy:Growing Pains. Looking for an exciting conclusion? Read it now. Have a great weekend!
  9. Welcome, Jaci. It's nice to have you here. Thanks for the picture.
  10. Interesting question, Rob. I'm not a writer so I'm no help. Thought I would ask if you had seen Nicholas James' stories. He may be one to contact. See: What's the Difference Between Me and You? by Nicholas James.
  11. Another great chapter. Everyone seems to be trying to work things out. Joe is about to take a big step.
  12. Carl Holiday has released Chapter 13 of The Artists.
  13. I must have missed something.
  14. Pai-chan, I think your picture is great. The hair and eyes are fine. Aren't most Swedes fair-haired?
  15. Jim already knows about the Canary Islands. Why not there?
  16. Good observation. Carlisle is English, not Irish; Carlshitski is neither. Elvis put the bananas and peanut butter on the bread together before dipping the sandwich in batter and dropping it into the deep fryer. Don't know about Jon.
  17. Banana and pepperoni sandwich? Well, Elvis used to eat deep fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. What kind of name is ? Certainly not Irish. And what is General Bradson up to? And the biggest surprise of all?
  18. C James' new story, Changing Lanes begins today with Chapter 1, titled Wedding Bells. Enjoy.
  19. One CRVBoy author, Kit, recently moved to GA and a major factor in his decision was the active forums here: This is a precedent which may be followed by other good authors.
  20. Kit makes some good points. If you wait, you risk Nathan falling for some new guy. I know you made a commitment to each other that you would always be just friends, not lovers. It sounds like you both would like to revisit that commitment. Do it. Be open and honest. If Nathan rejects your going back on the mutual commitment, then perhaps it was never meant to be. If so, you would know and could move on. If he feels the same way you do, then you could both have what you really want. Good luck.
  21. I agree with Tim. By all means, go to the birthday party. A chance to be with Nathan and keep him away from the jerk? Do it.
  22. This is my 700th post. Not nearly as many as some, but the most I've ever had. And I am # 35 on the list of most frequent posters.
  23. Horrors! Poor frog! The person below me has a secret admirer.
  24. Kiss of an Angel, Chapter 5 is here. Thanks, again, Comsie.
  25. Comicality has released Chapter 41 of New Kid in School. Thanks, Comsie.
