Tom finally decided to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend. One evening, after the honeymoon, he was cleaning one of his cars for an upcoming show. His wife was standing there at the bench watching him. After a long period of silence she finally speaks. “Honey, I’ve been thinking, now that we are married, maybe it’s time you quit spending all your time out here in the garage and you should consider selling your cars and your gun collection.” Tom gets a horrified look on his face. She says, “Darling, what’s wrong?” “There for a minute you were starting to sound like my ex-wife.” “Ex wife!”, she screams, “YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU WERE MARRIED BEFORE!!!!!!!” Tom’s reply: “I wasn’t”.

Sorry to hear of your catastrophic experience with Windows 10, Steve. I hate getting into those hours-long tech support phone calls...people who can't speak English very well, won't pull their headset microphone around in front of their mouth, mumble, etc. The second and third time I ask them to repeat an instruction, I would think they could clean up their act; some just won't do it. I hope most people's experience converting to Windows 10 is like mine. It was pretty smooth. Of course, I'm not using any W10 features I don't fully understand, stayed with Firefox, Thunderbird, Open Office, AVG. It's funny how well those free things work. Best wishes on getting it straightened out. I think you should sue but, of course, that would cost a lot more than a new desktop.

Thanks, Ace. Very well said. Not all religious people are evil. And you are right about the rules. When you enter the chat room, you see them including: "Thou Shalt Not: Use language that is racist, sexist, anti-religious, homophobic, or heterophobic in nature". How about that?

I have to believe the party will be so much more fun if the Leopards win.

A guy sits down at the bar and orders drink after drink. “Is everything okay, pal?” the bartender asks. “My wife and I got into a fight, and she said she isn’t talking to me for a month!” Trying to put a positive spin on things, the bartender says, “Well, maybe that’s kind of a good thing. You know, a little peace and quiet.” “Yeah sure. But today is the last day”

Certainly is!

Thanks, David. I had a little scare this morning when I fired up my desktop. It had updated and generated an error message, none of which I expected and not a big deal, fortunately. I made the change you suggested. I like being in charge.

Well, I did it. I upgraded to Windows 10. Why? Hmmm...the price was right. I'm certainly not a geek. I don't have to have the latest of everything. I know it has a lot of features, but I haven't explored much. Has a new browser, Edge, not Explorer. I've used it just a little...no opinion yet. I'm sticking with Firefox browser and Thunderbird e-mail. Is anyone else on Windows 10? Have you found some great features I should check out? What's your opinion? I know one thing. It is fast! Didn't expect that. It is much faster than Windows 7 Home Premium.

From a four year old grandson: "I'm sorry..." Most recently it was a table lamp he broke when the pillow he threw missed his brother.

What Is Your Favorite Story By Our Favorite Goat?
MikeL replied to DarkPrince's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
I agree with you on Circumnavigation. It is my favorite from C James for its strong characters and nonstop action. It is also the world's second longest novel published in English: 1,082,090 words. It trails Remembrance of Things Past by Marcel Proust (1,267,069 words) and is well ahead of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace (587,287 words). I'm sure C J is not resting on his laurels. Something great is coming. -
Thanks, everyone. We had a great day.

A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Guido, has cheated him out of $10,000,000.00 His bookkeeper is deaf. That was the reason he got the job in the first place. It was assumed that Guido would hear nothing so he would not have to testify in court. When the Godfather goes to confront Guido about his missing $10 million, he takes along his lawyer who knows sign language. The Godfather tells the lawyer, "Ask him where the money is!" The lawyer, using sign language, asks Guido, "Where's the money?" Guido signs back, "I don't know what you are talking about." The lawyer tells the Godfather, "He says he doesn't know what you are talking about" The Godfather pulls out a pistol, puts it to Guido's head and says, "Ask him again or I'll kill him!" The lawyer signs to Guido, "He'll kill you if you don't tell him." Guido trembles and signs back, "OK! You win! The money is in a brown briefcase, buried behind the shed at my cousin Bruno's house." The Godfather asks the lawyer, "What did he say?" The lawyer replies, "He says you don't have the guts to pull the trigger."

There must be thousands of lawyers in the south who are quite pleased with the way this is going. Think of all the lawsuits they can file in behalf of legally married LGBT couples who find the Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality leaves them subject to all sorts of discrimination. And then there are thousands of attorneys who can defend the people and businesses who discriminate. Who are the real winners?

The Shortest Prostate Exam Ever! During my prostate exam I asked the doctor, “Where should I put my pants?" “Over there by mine,” was not the answer I was expecting.
