  1. That's the bore diameter in inches. The 30-06 cartridge is fired from a rifle with an internal barrel diameter of 0.30". Most .30 caliber rifles can fire a 30-06 cartridge.
  2. LOL. That's thirty aught six, aught meaning zero as in 1906 (nineteen aught six), the year the Springfield 30-06 cartridge was first used by the US Army and designated as M1906. It is actually a 7.62x63 mm cartridge. There's quite a difference between a 22mm and a 63mm cartridge, oddly enough.
  3. Personal observation: St. Louis is already crazy.
  4. Thanks for the post, Krista. Kluwe's letter is an excellent retort to the pompous politician. Who knew a pro football player could use such language? Did Kluwe major in etymology in college?
  5. The Barrett M107A1 for example, made in Murfreesboro, TN.
  6. It's great to hear of younger people investing their time and energy in worthy causes. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is doing a great work in research and in supporting patients and their families. Having family members and friends stricken by cancer and personally fighting it for 15 years makes me aware of the needs that can be met through efforts like yours. Thanks, Joe.
  7. The pace of the story is definitely picking up. Trevor and Shane have a long, arduous voyage ahead, assuming they get underway without being pushed off a cliff. Thanks for another great chapter, goat.
  8. Glad to hear the stain is gone. Just found this...Hydrogen peroxide can be used as a pre-treater for stains — just soak the stain for a little while in 3% hydrogen peroxide before tossing into the laundry. You can also add a cup of peroxide to a regular load of whites to boost brightness. It’s a green alternative to bleach, and works just as well.
  9. Don't use hot water; it sets stains. Or is it too late for that advice?
  10. He was enjoying retirement, Yang. Hope you didn't resort to anything undignified.
  11. Thanks for the kind words, W. L. I was pleased to help. Sorry I can't commit to ongoing help; life is too busy.
  12. Who? Oh, yeah. Happy Birthday, O Master of the In Progress Story!
  13. Is that Agro Case, as in agravated? is that Shane's Aussie nickname? The sticky locks (I thought it was a hatch or cover of some sort) must mean something. When would Gray's man get on board and plant explosives? Which boat are explosives on? Good point on the intermittent tracker broadcast.
  14. LOL. The goat needs to see his opthalmologist again...if he can find the way.
  15. If you are in the US, you are out of luck on the Syndol. I don't think anything with codeine in it is available here without a prescription. The UK seems to be more liberal in over-the-counter drug regulations. A lot of prescription drugs do contain codeine. Congratulations on giving up cigarettes. Stick with it; you won't regret it. It's worth the temporary headaches.
  16. Happy Birthday, Pavel!
  17. Are you in need of a gluteus maximus augmentation?
  18. Ahem. This is a guessing game (although some apparently are not guessing), not an architectural criticism forum.
  19. That was quick, y'all. Vic is right. It's Paula Deen's home in Savannah, GA. Let's all celebrate with a pound of butter. OK. It's someone else's turn to offer up a home.
  20. Oops! I was looking at this. It appears to be misleading. You are correct. Congratulations, A J! Also Vic and PD. OK. Here's one more...last one for today. Who lives here? Take a close look at the picture. Put on your thinking cap. Could it be in Las Vegas?
  21. Nope. Can't say if Brittany ever lived there. Hint: It was purchased earlier this year from another well-known person.
  22. Nope, she still does not live there.
  23. LOL! In your dreams, Yang.
  24. It is in California. The guesses thus far are wrong. Here's a clue: The home changed hands earlier this year. And, no, Matt does not live there.
  25. Are you game for another one? Who lives here?
