I beg your pardon. She's not at all my generation; she was 15 years old (and probably sexually active) when my dad was born.
The Pub Last Saturday
I was in a pub on Saturday night... had a few.... I noticed two large women by the bar. They both had strong accents so I asked, "Hey, are you two ladies from Scotland ?" One of them chirped: "It's WALES you idiot!" So, I immediately apologized and said..., "Sorry, are you two whales from Scotland ?" That's the last thing I remember...
I hesitate to say it. The comparison with current tuition doesn't mean much. When I enrolled as a college freshman in 1959, tuition was $62.50 per semester. I don't think student loans existed then. I doubt anyone would lend that little.
I'm surprised no one has gotten this. I do know the answer (I think) and I did not cheat.
