Despite all Cid’s hang ups , Billy seems to be breaking through to him. Hopefully Cid Sticks to the resolve to be s friend as difficult as it may be.

The need to be needed and the desire to be recognized are so fundamental to human nature that we forget to recognize them! Until a chapter like this grabs you by the throat . I feel that neither Andy or Eric have concientised this yet. I applaud Eric’s bashful bravery , couldn’t have been easy at all .

Where’s Roma when she’s needed ? I’m sure ‘ that clingy bitch’ , would make short work of castrating Kyle. I can’t shake the feeling that the evil duo have a plan , they seem more clued in than Casey and appear to have been associating in this reality for longer than Casey and Ra.

A harsh story. Loved the balance struck between the personal emotions and the dispassionate unpacking of a series of events. The narrators pain is sharp and tangible.

I believe you do what your conscience dictates is best for you, always ! Danny may not win the election if he comes out , but he will have won a greater battle , respect for himself. He was already battling with the concept of winning on the back of an untruth , now he can focus his energy on the campaign and not the campaign and the secrecy. An insightful chapter .

I’ve found that the pain of losing someone close you doesn’t ‘go away or get better’ , you simply learn to live with it! So the holidays are over and it seems like the parties are only getting started as more and more intrigue surrounds the upcoming elections . I’m sure the corrupt influences in the Sherriffs department and Town council won’t dally in coming to the fore..... Ummmm.... So how does sex work in Hawaii if you go there to get married instead of going there for sex after getting married?

Why was Preston , just sitting in the dark ? That’s not normal. Oh yeah , Preston’s not normal , he’s a short , bigoted , fundamentalist prick with a chip on his shoulder! Should be a warning to the boys that he’s prone to creeping around in the dark! My ‘ insurmountable problem ‘ is going to be waiting a week for the next chapter.

The Family is definitely worse than Drake portrayed them. I would've avoided the whole lot too , as often as possible. Jimmy Dean seems to have opened Drakes eyes to the possibility of being proud in the presence of his family.

Methinks Drake doth protest to much, I feel he not as blameless as he seems. From the text it appears the whole family plays one another off against one another . Fantastic start , I’m in!

Jasmine seems to be going through the motions too , not just the cast, doing what’s been done before . Maybe she should see red and tell the cast how pedestrian she feels their deliverables are.

All the signs show that Eric should move. Ryan and his family, the meeting and all the people he greets at the party , balanced with him alone, work connections who never call and acquaintances he never sees , in New York . I can’t believe Mr Top-of-the-food-chain can’t even commit to a real conversation on the issue.

TJ really does need help. He doesn’t seem to be unable but to sabotage his happiness. The circumstances surrounding Carter are really concerning.

9 months ? Not long enough at all ! ( but then I don’t know the length of a sentence for assault in the U.S.) TJ’s reaction seems to be a cause for concern.

I hope Carter saw another side of ‘them! I hope Randy also befriends Carter! I hope that Bruce gets a taste of his own medicine in prison.... daily ..... for a long, long time.

Still stuck on Carter, he’s a real conundrum! At least he called Randy to help TJ. And proved he is a friend by taking TJ to Randy’s home when he was assaulted. May be him seeing the love and concern of Randy and his family will act as a catalyst to his views (?) I’m glad Randy’s father witnessed the hell TJ lives with , so TJ no longer has that hanging over his head.

Well Randy is an idiot. Old rules and games aren’t played anymore when you find yourself in a relationship. Especially when you are aware that your partner is fragile. He had a great deal of groveling ahead of him. Once again I just can’t quite get a grip on Carter, I thought I was but now.....?

Trust is such a fragile emotion and so elusive . Once it is broken and lost , just once , it’s so very hard to give it again. When it is broken repeatedly it’s nigh impossible. Seems TJ and Carter are in this position and have a common ground. Randy has a lot of work ahead! The last paragraph is heartrending.

Can’t help but feel sorry for Viktor he seems so jaded and tarnished.... the Alpha action did seem to give him a bit of a polish though! I’m glad Eli and Quin did not stay to witness. Quin can now get to meet his mates in all their glory , with a clear mind.... if not clear head!

I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did , I wouldn’t. It’s takes a special type of courage to stand up for yourself when the spot light is focused on you. Now instead of worrying about being short paid , he can go out and explore his oyster!
