Jenkins not following up the discrepancy in the Patel’s statements was an oversight which may have cost his case dearly . I can’t fault Joseph Muraro for his reticence in coming forward for another round , I’ve often had to deal with witnesses who have become quite sensitive after going through the criminal leg of the trial process.

Absolutely , a trial is fraught with risk and never straight forward , settlement in a civil trial is always the first prize and an early decisive settlement cuts the clients costs , but invariably boosts the attorneys reputation. Never a bad thing for both client and attorney!

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without some unwanted gift or unpleasant surprise . I wouldn’t want to experience Nate’s New Year , he better start planning his resolutions to include lots of large damages payments and a new career.

Lee appears to be pretty confident of his case too, funny thing about witnesses is they can be damn certain about those tricky little details , usually unshakeable whilst completely vague on the macro elements of an incident . The devil is always in the ( little) details.

Prism’s observation that Grimm , Veil and presumably Neredos had gained maturity , leaving him feeling unsettled and naive is interesting . The feeling is that Veil and Neredos have become rather jaded ! They too seem mired in protocol and a little self important. Poor Kirra bring thwarted in his pursuits again , despite Styx’s attraction to him. Why does Kirra fear going home and what relationship does he have to High Inquisitor Grembal?

Interesting , Doug’s last memory was sitting in the passenger seat. Doug was going to drive an inebriated Brad home . Brad last seen scrabbling in his pocket for keys . Not an uncomplicated set of facts .

Gosh , if only injury cases lined themselves up so perfectly ,Carleson should already be smelling a rat ! Witnesses are definitely going to alledge that Doug was the driver!

Blake getting landed with 21 years of responsibility in his lap is able to get Teddy to ease up on his . Would love to have heard that conversation! So did Ryder propose in a round about way , did Teddy hear it ? I wonder if this holiday will bring the family together again , or just further estrange the parents !

So Preston learned of his true parentage , at what 18/ 19 years old, after spending all those years raised as both their child , treated better , if Drake is to be believed than the other two children , and he still goes off and becomes a blinkered and bigoted Individual . No , I still can’t sympathise with him. Drake needs to see Jimmy as more than his perceived sexual identity , and listen to what Jimmy is saying , watch his actions and reactions and weigh those against his past experiences . He might just find happiness .

His father may think he has the final say , Devin too , but I think Kevin will surprise them , showing them he’s made of sterner stuff . Devin , Paul and Co are clearly your usual teenaged boys running in their little pack feeling powerful , until the pack turns on you . I think Paul is going to be first, the others are already singling him out.

Hmmm , someone should slap Liz for ruining the couch! Oliver is getting one growing up experience after another , hard and fast . The trust being placed in him , can only build his confidence.

With the parents abdicating , seems Oliver gets s chance to be mature , ask the right questions and find himself . Mark is good for him! Teddy and Ryder are too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Pink Floyd and Oliver should have that drummed into him . Over and over!

Oliver is 13 , bratty and over excitable , he loves Teddy ! Teddy is a sanctimonious prick , sometimes , he loves Oliver ! Ryder listens to both , interferes or not , and gives advice , wanted or not . Harry and Ryder are tiptoeing around the family , re: the holiday! Gosh .... they really seem like , well .... a family .

They are complete, now all they need is to complete the Khonsu stone by infusing Eli’s green , hopefully with a big sensual mind blowing bang ..... that none of them will ever forget ! 12 years in the restricted parts of the library , I think the boys lucked out and the Fates are playing with the Gods !

Beautiful work. Despite the vague promises of a happily ever after I still felt it was possible it would never happen. The whole story was real enough that one can imagine the epiphany Eric will have, remembering the wedding , the proposal , Nathaniel .....

Hmmm , could Khonsu and Anubis be brothers , lovers or close friends that had a falling out? The bond grows stronger and stronger and I think the Gods had better watch out , I have a feeling they are in for a big surprise !

Hmmmm , Jake is learning , played Diaz perfectly. Now perhaps he should learn to listen, Hans told him. He should also learn to trust his instincts. Poor boy hope he enjoys being on the receiving end of his actions !

Devin is an egotistical moron , Dad seems as bad . Paul is deflecting . Ashley is a tramp! Surprisingly I think a Kevin is capable of dealing with them all and showing Cameron that he has a strong ally .

Seems Devin and Kevin view their relationship differently. Devin believes they were inseparable , but he had Paul and now Ashley , cuts Kevin out and resents his new friendship with Cameron . Seems like a bit of a shallow hypocrite to me. He needs to take a long hard look at himself and his actions . I hope Kevin perserveres with Cameron and that Cameron gets over his feelings of the need to protect them both.

Gosh , gets more and more complicated . So mum wasn’t too bad , just bad enough lately that the good times were buried. Gave up trying to determine who the killer is, have relaxed into the story , and am sure all will become clearer as we progress . Another fantasticly twisty chapter.
