This chapter really took me back. The frustration , the anger, the doubt , the constant strength needed not to breakdown or freak out. Knowing every minute for two and a half years he had his own demons to deal with. We moved downstairs , closed the upper two floors, I only used them to escape , fleeing to the roof terrace to blast Siouxsie and the Banshees whilst my frustration erupted as regularly and violently as Old Faithful. Dealing with his feelings of emasculation were probably the worst , we hardly touched in all that time. I arranged for platoons of medical persnal and turned our house into a rehab boot camp . On good days he'd call me the ' effing Nazi Bitch' , on bad ones , much worse. Funny though , through it all neither of us ever thought to walk or wheel away. Now... he walks , he gyms , he's even back on the bikes on the bloody track . I made him read this chapter , we cried, held one another and realized , its sometimes good to just remember. Louis and Don are doing really well , all things considered . An excellent and thought provoking chapter. Thanks.

I sat for 30 minutes agonizing , how do I push the 'like' button. The depth of truth and pain, enraged me! I however like the courage, the strength, the brutal honesty.

Many enlightened countries are moving to legislate the Rights of individuals to marriage regardless of gender and orientation. We've had the right to marry in our county since 2006. My husband proposed 17 years ago and although we have never formally married , we renew our vows to each other , privately , every year in the Cathedral of the city or country we are visiting that year. This chapter transported me back to the very first time and stated an avalanche of memories. Thank you .

Colon/bowel surgeries are long and tedious , Carson is still in for a rough time , the platinum based chemo's used are nothing short of horrendous, it's going to be hard on the newly united family , but at least they can be there for him together . He deserves it after his about turn. Really enjoying the story again, second time around.

Gosh Geoff really lives on an emotional knife-edge. That he is surprised Tony wants to see him again really shows the depths of his insecurities. A really great chapter.

Old world listen to your Husband ethics are so hard to break. It really says something about Alex's mother that she phoned him on his birthday and told him she loved him. Especially after what the sisters told Liam. Seems the girls in his family are far more liberal ( mom included) . Great chapter .

The roller coaster emotions , the impact on lives and the absolutely terrifying knowledge that you have to buy into hope,that you don't really feel , is captured so perfectly in this chapter.
