    I can feel poor Troy's heart breaking, his spirit unraveling as his circumstances deteriorate. He's had to survive and bury his grief, but it refuses to stay buried. I really wonder if he and Grant will be able to establish a connection, or if that grief will bar the way. Will Grant turn over the journal to Troy? Let him know he's seen it? Or will he keep that fact to himself? I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

    These three moved me, made be remember hurt and love I have felt and experienced. All three spoke to me. Breathing automatons who do the right things... so the normal among us leave them alone These lines are heartbreaking. At the same time, my heart is lifted by Number 3: what I feel for them surprises me daily Number 1 makes me feel a yearning to be open to another, in spite of the pain he may have given. Somehow, it may heal the heart to support and love him, if he will have that. Thank you for these.

    How sad this is. So many poignant memories and moments, and all in the past now. However, the good Doctor had wise words, and Chase actually listened, at least this time. Perhaps he has a chance to heal now.

    Thank you for picking up on the notion of original sin woven into the fabric of Not the Apple. You also heard me well in Overwintering, The Last of Them has several sources, and it makes me glad that its reflection has shone on you too.

    Overwintering came to mind as a poem to remind us of the need to help those with no roof and no warmth. Not the Apple was written following the advice to write what I felt. The Last has several sources. I’m very glad these connected with you.
