I love the recipe. I love the story. I have a student with an implant who is both glad of it, but may be having some if the same thoughts as you describe. But toward the end, something appeared in my eye, requiring a tissue. And maybe hot chocolate, just because. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this chapter, from Surfin Santa to the Liston men in skirts, er, kilts. And Owen and CJ and Spencer did well in talking with Pam. No shouting, just a firm discussion. Thank goodness for helpful aunts. Happy Christmas!

You’ve written an excellent story. Lex is deeply flawed; who knows if anything will work out with him? The man only knows his immediate desires and his anger. Our narrator has come through a terrible experience. You write that so well, we can feel it deeply. The epilogue allows us a ray of hope, for which I’m grateful, in addition to my thanks for this story.

Oh, hell. What has Lex passed on to our narrator? And will that change his mind about what’s happening with him and Lex? Nice twist here.

And so the fire isn’t merely built, it’s blazing. Loren’s thoughts about the cheating in the marriage no longer make an impact, except to add fuel to the fire. I fear where this might lead.

Those hard words, spoken with the confidence of youth: you have to know what you want. But what happens when you want different than what is considered normal or acceptable? That’s Lex’s problem, and in a growing sense, the narrator’s. Great story.

So Lex convinces the narrator to continue, or at least to set aside his compunctions. It’s a very difficult thing for both men. At least our narrator chooses to see things from another’s point of view.

For Simon, his phone is a lifeline. Not sure how he’d deal with life without a phone, But it would be better than life with his father, that’s certain.

Braiding indeed - the plots are twining and braiding and getting deeper. I’m very fearful for Elias, happy for Mason and Jeremy, glad at Gary’s declaration. You’ll keep me on the edge of my seat.
