    I enjoyed this chapter. Charles did so much for Caleb just supporting him, and in helping the enterprise on Beecher’s farm. More important, Caleb managed to put things right between himself and Wren. Later, maybe they can talk about that kiss.

    The Prompt poem struck a chord with me. I enjoyed floating on the Canale in your gondola, overpriced ride though it may be. Your cats poem speaks succinctly about felines; and the way you write about November is awesome. Azure Perimeter is an adventure to read. Thank you for writing these and sharing them with us.

    Thank you for your generous words. I’m immensely grateful, as I was unsure if April 14 worked. As for April 8, I know I am my own worst critic; and the next day seemed an elegy for a poem that refused to emerge onto paper. It did indeed get better after that. Thanks again.

    I think the analysis provided in this story is compelling. Some feel terribly, existentially threatened by a world that no longer uniformly believes in the ideas they espouse. And the literal interpretation of scripture - very rightly - does not get the deference it once did, nor do those who claim a monopoly on that interpretation. Sadly, they see not beauty in love, but an attack on their sense of righteousness.

    Uncles are likely to play nasty. They probably don’t want to pay for lawyers, so I’d bet on dirty dealings and causing accidents. But the money will go a long way to make Wren solvent. Now I’d like to see what happens between Wren and Caleb.

    Brad’s story makes me so sad, as do the true tales of the returning Afghan war vets I have met in my real life. It’s the centerpiece of this chapter to me. Brad is lucky to have such a group surrounding him, to hold him up even when he wants to fall. Great chapter.

    How heartbreaking that Sablo and Theo are apart. Kittens, roses, costumes - all very nice. Sablo might need to buy a bike and chase Theo down on it. Preferably catching him in a secluded lane, with a mossy glade nearby. Just a suggestion. But I have confidence in you. You won’t keep lovers apart for too long. Please.

    I delighted in Drop. A great story from beginning to end. Companion made me blink back a tear, just as Sunday caused me to break into a wide smile. Gemengelage makes a perfect sound for a situation and a word which means nothing but hurt for the world. And Blank certainly resonates with me, surely.
