    Chapter 8

Awesome chapter. Scott decided to commit to his team (loved that bit), and change history. And you remembered rotary phones! So much to remember, and you handled the difficulty of dual memory really well. How Scott will live going forward will be a mystery, but it's no mystery that you've written a fun story here.
  2. @Jsgo, Thank you for posting this! I have neglected my listening for Chopin and his contemporaries this summer. This is a perfect antidote.
  3. @AC Benus, Thanks for letting us all take a ride in Drew's Kreisler. It was wonderful.

    Chapter 15

Christmas always makes me teary; this final Christmas snapshot left me needing tissues. How lovely and good, and what a wonderful way to propose.
  5. Oh, what a fantastic twist. You really know how to take us on daredevil turns and unforeseen changes of course. That is an incredible turn of events, and I shall need time to digest it...

    Chapter 7

This story just keeps getting better and better. You acknowledge the hard choices many had to face - safety in the closet, or freedom in the cold light of the wide world? The new Scott is thrust into to latter; his earlier self chose the former. How interesting to watch him exchange one set of hurts and pleasures for another. But at least this time, he is not hiding from himself.
  7. tim, you wrote a sublime poem. Not only do you describe a dark and slippery kind of hurt so well I can feel it, you also approach part of an antidote with such gentle ease. This is quite marvelous.

    Walk Away

Thank you for your comment. You have a good point. Stefan went to school, perhaps on autopilot, certainly with a half formed hope of seeing a nurse or someone like that. Stefan's story strains credulity until one reads the sad articles in small town newspapers about kids who fell through the cracks. It is good that such stories are rare; horrible that they happen at all. Again, thank you for reading.

    Noticed

Stefan leads a truly difficult, dreadful existence. But many children live such lives under the radar. Be strong, and hang in there. Thanks for reading!

    A Journal

Thank you so much for beginning Stefan's story. Hang in there. Looking forward to your thoughts.
  11. We live in frustrating and far too exciting times. You capture this, my friend. Can our own humanity defeat the madmen? Your poem speaks to this. Thank you.
  12. @AC Benus These are a marvel and a delight. My goosebumps match yours. Thank you for sharing these!

    Chapter 6

So beautiful in its elegance, and its dreamlike flow. I think of a stream with its currents and eddies, I think of clouds at sunset, and the trill and call of birds from the deep wood where dusk is settling. It is enough to open the heart; so lovely as to well tears. Thank you.
  14. This is indeed whatever it takes - the previous chapter was misnamed. Caleb drawn into the frantic power Liz draws forth, and shown a pathway to Ethan through his own blood. Ethan smiles in the vision: but is it a grin of a spirit's revenge on the living, a smile of the reunited dead, or something other than that? Whatever it is, clearly Liz will have gotten far more than she counted on; this was no mere informational event. Many thanks for this chapter!
  15. Liz just took a huge chance for Ethan and Caleb. Caleb had better appreciate that. You again show us how well you master the art of action in storytelling. Everything was fluid and utterly engrossing. Of course, now I want to know why Liz needs methadone, or heroin for this particular spell. Way to leave me wanting more. Sure you don't want to post another chapter in a few minutes or so?

    Chapter 9

Wow - this could be the title chapter right here - so very many changes are in play. Don is bouncing back, which points up the changes to the lives of this wonderful couple. And Louis is actually preparing to run a marathon! Don will be so good at coaching Louis, but Louis is in for changes at work, too. And then the bombshell change at the end - Miriam's reappearance. Whew! All kinds of life motion at work here. However, I suspect you have even more changes in store for us, more twists and turns. Thank you for a wonderful chapter and a thoroughly absorbing story. And I want more, soon, please.

    Surviving

Hugs. I am glad you survive to inspire and enrich us all, to breathe life into those who need you. This poem is a moving expression of your resolve, and reminds all of us that every connection, all hands and lives are precious.
  18. This is an amazing poem. I am inspired, called, stirred up in it. In it I hear legions of others who are voiceless as well as nameless. In it I hear the insistent call of people like you, who care. This should be required reading. Everywhere.

    Satiation

Thank you, AC. It is a moment to be captured, though it flees quickly, like a spark, like a flame. I really appreciate your thinking here.

    Efforts

This is so true for me, on many levels and in many ways. You speak for me here, and I am unquestionably resonating to your words.

    Satiation

Oh, my...how you saw that...amazing. Your eye and poetic sense is as keen as ever. Perhaps I should have followed this path: it is certainly dramatic and unlooked for. Thank you so much for this insight.
  24. Parker Owens

    Satiation

This is a delectable morsel in itself. I hope this one helps heighten your senses and whets your appetite. Thank you!

    Chapter 8

There are so many wonderful images here. Details of ecstasy written on lotus petals....unhex the music of our hearts...union of two tones mingling in the river of distractions. Each is inspiring, interesting, engaging. But you bring them together beautifully.
