Starting over and taking things slowly must be intensely difficult for both Liam and Alek. Their firsts are really seconds in some ways, yet they are also paradoxically new experiences. They will not be able to help comparing, I fear. On the other hand, it is wonderful the way you paint this picture of Liam and Alek being happy together, comfortable together, and perhaps admitting that it is good and safe to commit to one another. There is plenty of delightful tension the time around, too. Everyone wants Liam to be happy, and perhaps that's true for Alek, too - though we don't get to see things through his eyes much.
