Thanks for describing a real fight between Ozzie and CJ. People who love each other fight. Fact. It's how they fight, and what happens after that matter. In this case, the boys figured out how to climb over their respective walls. But geez, the dad's need to lead less dangerous lives. CJ's heart, big as it is, would be destroyed if one of them were badly hurt again. This is a grand chapter, and many thanks for it.

You are probably quite right that other people notice. But then, Graham and Scott seem quite focused on each other, and may not see that their shipmates know. We do not know Cookie's mind right now, the old man isn't saying what's on it. But we do know that Scott and Graham say they are in love, and their love looks set to deepen. I do like your analogies. This particular barque in which Scott and Graham sail appears to be a happy one, sailing on a lovely sea. It was fun writing about Scott, for whom this kind of realization and love is really his first time. And Graham is definitely friendly. I hope you continue to enjoy the story as it unfolds. Well, that was lots of fun. Perhaps not a whole spinoff on Ryan, but it was good to see Rob be so good for him, and to him. Everyone needs friends like that. -
Scott and Graham make quite a pair. It's wonderful for both of them, and probably a bewilderingly happy thing for Scott, especially. It is good to see them together like this, and especially Scott, looking for his next meeting with the one he loves. But no, the voyage is not over. Many thanks for reading, and for your responses.

Your so-called stupid question is very good. And possibly others will come to call TP by his real name, too, eventually. Or maybe they'll stick with 'Wally,' because it's what they know, and don't choose to get to know him better. But you are certainly correct that Scott is being propelled by his heart this time. So much information in which to wrap a mystery. So much history. So I wonder about the untold history the narrator seems to avoid, leaving us only small nuggets to gather. And I am not yet believing Drew Kohler slipped in the tub. Great story so far...

What a wonderful man Corey is. Understanding, patient, generous and immensely kind. What tough position Liam must be in. His heart seems bound to Alek, whether he likes it or not. Does Liam really have a choice? I once thought so, but it seems he cannot command his heart in this matter - he likes Nathan, but could he be angry at the paramedic if Nathan moved on? I doubt this. Liam is still angry and confused with Alek because he still loves the man. At least, so it seems to me. And so I wonder if Liam really has any choice at all.

I am glad you liked this. It was meant to be quite short, but it suddenly ballooned beyond my plans. I really wondered about how shifter predators would feel about stalking shifter prey. Could they do it? Is there some sort of taboo? Plenty of questions for exploration here. But not in this story; thanks so much for reading, and for your response.

I am intrigued by the story. Who wouldn't be? Especially since I kind of know that part of the world you are writing about...you describe the place beautifully as an epitaph. So what in the world of New England's jostle for position and place sent Drew Kohler to the bottom of his tub? Will be looking for more...
