    May Morning

I am a confirmed flower sniffer. Today, the sweet locust trees were in bloom, and the bees had to compete with me, at least for a while. It makes me glad to know you enjoyed these.
  2. Somehow, I missed this - I’m terribly sorry. Although the Stevensons are taking Andy in temporarily)according to the statute), it also seems that in several ways, he’s come home to them. He doesn’t understand how to be in a family, but he feels for the first time what it’s like to be on the inside of that warm circle. Thanks so very much for your comment.

    All i Know

This poem took my breath away. It’s beautiful and powerful.

    May Morning

Thanks, tim. You often reminded us to observe, and these have tried to do just that. I’m glad you joined me in the green woods and along the river.

    May Morning

You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed the early stroll.

    May Morning

I wrote it a couple of weeks ago, then let it sit and simmer for a while. That’s a habit of mine in writing just about anything. Thanks so much for reading and for your comments!

    May Morning

Thanks very much. I appreciate your taking time to read these.

    May Morning

You were immensely kind to prod me about that first piece. There are mornings and moments that feel as if they were written in some great life volume for us to sense and experience. Perhaps that came through.

    May Morning

And thank you for coming along. I'm glad you thought it was good.
  10. May Morning i. The sun is shining this morning; Forty-three degrees at the time of my dawn-hour walk. It’s a favorite time of year. The unmown lawn is thick with bugle, forget-me-nots, and monkeyflower. Lilacs, wild honeysuckle, dame’s rocket and late daffodils are all in bloom. I stopped to sniff them all, it seems, like a honeybee investigating every plant. And in the woods, a veery competed in so
  11. Yet another collection of poetry, added to as the mood or fancy strikes me. I hope you enjoy at least some of it.
  12. Welcome! Glad you are here. Hope you enjoy the friends and chances to participate.
  13. @Mike53, welcome! There’s so much to read, and tons of great people. Glad you joined!
  14. Your poem made me nod in agreement. It’s a strong person who can give up control.
  15. I hope you can help CJ and Oz out after their ordeal! We can now all breathe again ourselves. Thanks for a fantastic story!

    For the Fallen

Thank you for encouraging us all to remember those who fell, that they may be raised in our recollection.
  17. Bravo, bravo! Take a bow. Several, seeing as Eric is too standoffish to take his own. I enjoyed this thoroughly !
  18. I won’t ask what, or how or if, or make remarks while off the cliff I hang by broken fingernails until your better sense prevails; for once you think what you have done from pitchforked mobs you’ll have to run.

    Moments

You made me stop and take notice of passing minutes, as if to try and feel the air move as they went by. This is beautiful.

    You left me.

This chapter is a gem. Loe and Lars can perhaps return to something closer in a restored relationship. Whatever their twisted parents tried to do, it’s definitely over now. Loe has family too.

    In Conference

One could see the bottom dropping out of Ray’s stomach, his cockiness turning into cowardice. Andy really didn’t want to face the ordeal of facing Ray in court. However, if Ray hadn’t folded as he did, Andy was prepared to go through with a trial appearance. This approach forced his tormentor’s hand. Ray will be out of circulation pretty much permanently, and who knows what might happen to him in prison? Anyway, thank you so much for reading and responding to Andy’s story.
  22. Deeper and deeper do the waters CJ swims in seem to get. That another adversary makes contact where the first one failed only means that he looks like a target. He and Owen are right to be super-vigilant about such entanglements.
  23. Oh, Liebe, taking you shopping could be quite an ordeal. And she’s as outgoing as her dads, so of course she’s going to try and make friends of everyone. Owen’s observation that they’ve been away a ton for having no vacation time is very apt. Our boys are due for some extended time on the job.

    Chapter 44

I really enjoyed this chapter: without melodrama or volcanic explosions, Cindy got handed a strategic defeat. She may fight harder and shout louder, but she may now realize that her relationship with her son is not to be commanded and ordered to her every expectation.
